I think that, beyond gamers, it would have attracted any other types of consumers 🤷🏽♂️ Ps: I'm not a fan of Android Stock, but I would have opted for Android Stock "à la" Motorola or Asus, it's less complicated than developing an overlay that will not necessarily please everyone, And I would have simply put a physical or software button to activate the gaming mode where I would have all my gaming and other software options integrated.
A popup camera is not great for a gaming phone. Manage your expectations. A popup camera literally occupies a big space inside the phone which can be used for more copper cooling instead, not to mention the literal fan inside the phone. Id like to know the details about the headphone jack too, is it good for Hi Fi music?.. im probably still go with the s23 ultra because of the 1 TB and camera
Almost definitely no and in fact those usbc to 3.5mm dongles have actually been notorious on even pcs as a great and cheap audio improvement (assuming ur headphones are decent) over the inbuilt audio on even expensive pc's so I feel like if ur lugging around over ear headphones and a wire there's no point if u lose most of ur audio advantage to the jack itself which u will be. No wireless charging, the call volume was way too low at the loudest, the cameras (front and back) were awful and the display wasn't bright enough in sunlight. If you want a portable gaming device, there are better, cheaper ones out there. The specs say one thing, but in reality, it's very different. @techbutter. Spoken like a true non-gamer that bought a gaming phone with no intention to really play games. Should have gone for their Nubia Z50 series then. Who the F wants to game under the sun? It's like a person wanting to play PS5 at the beach which makes absolutely no sense. Gaming phones are designed for gamers that play mostly indoors thus reducing the need to have bright screens. Not to mention that camera while it's nice to have a better one, shouldn't be a main concern to gamer which is why they have kept the same camera system for the past few years.
@@sxlrora I've likely been gaming since before you were born. If you're a true gamer, you as you imply, you wouldn't buy a phone to game on. You're trying to make the argument "Why buy a phone if you're a real gamer?" Precisely. So, if you're buying this, you're going after something that does more than gaming. You're failing but trying to make the case that a "real gamer" would buy a dedicated gaming device, rather than something that's trying to be everything to everyone (not just "gamers"). Plus, if you're a true gamer, you wouldn't bother paying such a high price to play on such a small thing to begin with (crappy sound, small screen, can't play real games - all mobile). Seeing as the competition managed to get a competitive gaming capable phone with better sound and cameras, I don't see your last point.

Rog 7 ult beats the rm 8s pro. I think rog 7 would be about same or better. Only thing is that rog phones are more bulky and heavier. You also need to buy a separate cooler if u want the full performance unlike rm. Rog is better than rm

@user-cz9it7xg3q rn redmagic 8s pro has a better processor cuz of the overclocked Samsung one. Asus rog has a better cooling system and better software with it.
So is it out yet or not? Is the release date today or August 3rd?🙄
August 3rd
sd card slot?
Please do a battery drain test of s23 base model
this or oneplus 11?
Hope this one is available in Australia
What high end games can play here? Tekken? SF?
Any game.
Looking forward for redmagic foldable
Price??
still got my p30 pro and won't get any other phone but one of the redmagic since they are the only ones with anything interesting at the moment...plus affordable!
Looks aside, is there any benefit of this vs 8pro? Most games locked at 60 or 90 fps.
No benefits really, but if you do not have the 8Pro then this is a subtle update, but if you can get the older version with a nice discount that may be the best choice.
Why i can't order it?
They need to release this unlocked at Best buy I wanna play with this lol
Please, reviewers of phones, hdmi output resolution and fps, third party software access level (like resolution, fps etc) to the camera (as Tellus NDI etc)
Noone seems to bother about these numbers but hey are highly relevant for ppl that uses the phone to capture sports events etc.
Would I be able to buy a unlocked model and take it to Verizon Wireless (in the U.S) and activate it there ? May sound like a dumb question I get it but hey maybe I'm dumb you do t know me ,LOL 😅😅😂😂 . But seriously I have the Samsung Galaxy S22Ultra but am looking g for perhaps a different phone experience and thus phone looks intriguing. I do like the SPen on the S22 whixh is why i have been with Samsung as long as i have been. I started with the Note 4 because of the SPen and never looked back even after the explosive(lol) controversy of the Note 7 a still stuck with them . But like I stated earlier in this unnecessary long comment(lol) this phone looks intriguing. And I like that is geared for the gaming and all the options it has for gaming . The rest of the phone seems like more common features and same level as other flagship devices but ... I digress I just want to know if I buy this phone unlocked can I activate it at Verizon Wireless (U.S) thanks folks
Nubia Z50S Pro next?
which is better with the rog 7?
Rog 7 ult beats the rm 8s pro. I think rog 7 would be about same or better. Only thing is that rog phones are more bulky and heavier. You also need to buy a separate cooler if u want the full performance unlike rm. Rog is better than rm
@@evilbuttface9550the components in rm 8s pro is more powerful than in rog 7. But the rog have a better system (maybe, because I don't know if rm fixed the problems in system from 8 pro)
@user-cz9it7xg3q rn redmagic 8s pro has a better processor cuz of the overclocked Samsung one. Asus rog has a better cooling system and better software with it. Rm is just throwing powerful hardware on the phone while rog is planning all the extra things. Both are powerhouses but tbh id take the better cooling over a cpu thats a bit better cuz i doubt any game is really gonna use all of that cpu. Even if it does the cooling would help way more imo for duration
@@evilbuttface9550i receive my asus rog phone 7 in 2 days. Will see if it is good
K60 Ultra has a better price . Witch one would you get ?
Hey running genshin impact on phone and running cod on external screen that's wild we can see the power of this beast there
Ok, but android update only 1 year?
i have the normal 8 8s model is for new comer i will wait for sd8gen3 on redmagic 9
Gorgeous phone from top to bottom but I wish the corners were rounded instead of the sharp square corners while still maintaining the flat sides
I like that it's sharp square. I like it's a rectangle. I like that I can stand it up.
You're in the extreme minority Michael 👌🏻
All gaming phones should have "sharp" corners
The squared design makes it look so much better and more futuristic what. Why would you instead want the corners of your display cut off when uve gone through so much trouble to make sure a tiny punch hole isn't in the fitst place??? 😂 Also yes rounded corners literally cut off the actual display panel
Waiting for moto edge 40 pro review
