Hey ETA nice video! Can i suggest something? You do all these great tests with all these devices and show us the Geekbench scores which is all great. It would be even better if you somehow make a list or graph showing the performance of each new device compared to your previous devices to see where it stacks up. Idk if you ever saw Top Gear but they had a chart showing lap times on each new car they reviewed and it’s a great way to see where these new handhelds stack up

    Awesome stuff!
It’s stuff like this that makes me wonder why we aren’t getting more native “console level” games on our phones at this point (that are also high profile). We have all this power in our phones, that otherwise really goes to waste.

Because piracy in mobile games is way way worse.
Most mobile gamers are kids and college students, they don't have money to purchase games.
Making console level games for mobile is a waste of time because developers can make simple games or port famous PC games and add shit ton of micro-transactions and earn money easily.
If they can earn very easily just by putting efforts on skins then why do they need to focus on game graphics? Because it is a headache to optimise games for mobile phones, if graphics were good.

it's always been the touchscreen as the biggest negative for games, not the lack of developers. Android is still a platform to port good games to, not the best when it comes to original games; and even then, the "original" games are basically just "popular game", but portable and with horrible touchscreen controls.
Having to make your game suitable for a touchscreen means your game will probably play better literally anywhere else, unless you are making a mobile-tailored game. That's just the facts of it.
Developers are not going to be releasing big name stuff for Android that requires more hardware than the phone itself. Not gonna work.
Windows lite or something needs to be brought to the mobile space because our phones are now powerful enough to run full-fledged desktop games. A high end phone today is more powerful than the Switch, a platform they continue to port huge games to. It's about what people play, and what they play it on. The switch is a gaming device that barely uses the touchscreen, even in handheld mode.
Android gaming as a primary to me is more like "if I have to, I guess" currently, and a hard "no" to touchscreen controls for game that need real hardware to not be janky af.

I have been watching a while and it would be really nice if you include other phones to compare to when you benchmark such as geekbench score for this phone and the new iphone is... or a midrange phone is... so we can get some context. I am really into phones and PC but I dont memorize whats a good score at a given time. :)

I would love to see some Red Dead Redemption emulated on this phone.. Not sure if there an 360 android emulator or a ps3 one, but if such an emulator exist, it would be pretty cool watching RDR on a phone.. Another emulator you could try is EGGNS, or some switch emulator.. I'm pretty sure this phone can handle switch emulation at 4k resolutions

@@xPandamon 95% of the ppl dont even use camera that often nor do they use it properly...they just call message and use social media...ive been using camera on redmagic like any other person and its decent enough for its purpose...23 ultra is overkill for any regular person just like redmagic...but then again mobile gamers are the ones buying redmagic which actually makes sense due to the phone serving its purpose imo

If it doesn't have front facing speakers or direct accessories allowing front facing audio, it's not a gaming phone. In fact, the under-display selfie cam was a perfect opportunity to add speakers without significant bezels. The lack of LTPO is also a shame because there's no adaptive VRR.

You get a 1440p 120hz display at 16:9, and incredible speakers. Set up moonlight and use it as a cloud gaming device. It's a better experience than the G cloud, and you can do it for less than $200

What’s your take so far for this game on android vs iPhone and iPads? It seems the apple devices run rogue sqaudron 2 better and even at higher resolutions. There’s a old video of iPhone 13 emulation and it’s running rogue squadron 2 at 1080p res and no dips. I believe he’s running this at native 480p on the redmagic and s23 ultra.

Qualcomm never really made an announcement that this is the Snapdragon 8th+ gen 2.
This is simply a over clocked version of 8th gen 2.
Although that's how it is in reality.
But this was never officially called the + version of 8th gen.
