What are the advantages of using a High Speed filament?
1) Surface Quality at high speed:
When printing at high speed, the nozzle will actually experience a wide variety of speed going from 0mm/s to the max speed set on the slicer. The higher the max speed, the wider the range of different speeds. The issue is with the printing temperature being the same, the extrusion temperature will vary dramatically leaving difference surface finishes on the print (from glossy to matte because of a phenomenon called: Shark Skin), High Speed filament reduces these differences by displaying similar surface finish in a wide range of flow rates.
Additionally, high speed filament will extrude much more consistently within the speed range providing a smooth surface whereas regular filament will display holes, artifacts and layers with different thicknesses.
2) Mechanical Properties at high speed:
High Speed filament will display far greater overall mechanical properties when printed at higher speed than regular filament because of the more consistent extrusion and the optimized cooling/melting rate of the polymer.
3) Higher Throughput:

This is fantastic, but unfortunately I'd like to be able to buy large amounts than a single kg spool... Faster printing means you get more done, but Changing spools is annoying, IMO. I'd buy this over any other plastic if I could get it in a 5kg spool (or even 3kg, if that's more reasonable for the average use case).
I agree with you. I can’t believe at a minimum, they don’t even offer it in 2kg. Luckily, I have a Bambu X1C series printer too, with dual AMS units. This gives me 8 available 1kg slots. I usually duplicate the material from one AMS unit to another. Bambu Labs has a great feature where it will start using material from a different slot if another one is configured with the same exact material and color. Doesn’t help on my other printers though.

If someone dies and it was a good shoot then they should be proud of fostering self defense availability.
@@_Xantras_ Perhaps they support one's right to self defense. Being a Chinese company, that's very commendable. But unfortunately, they probably don't get the same rights those in the U.S. do. BTW, I guess it didn't occur to you that having the ability to defend one's self can SAVE a life.
