- Four years ago, two families came together by chance through a baby boy named Kingston James Hall. CBS News' lead national correspondent David Begnaud traveled back to Lafayette, Louisiana, to find out what they've been up to.

I lost it when Jamie kissed little Kingston as soon as he was in her arms, as if he was her own blood grandson. What a wonderful story and a glorious name - Kingston James Hall - sounds like royalty.

Extra special report because of David’s mom’s connection. When he said, “That’s my mom” it was evident how affected he was. David always tells a great story.
I thought, what a blessing he was the interviewer. Talk about blessings all the way around.
I know everyone wants to talk about the mom, the kid and the lady who lost her dad. But I want to give a shout out to the reporter!! Great job on sharing this heart-warming story to everyone.

I'm crying too. What a beautiful story. And it proves that when people's hearts are in the right place, the color of a person's skin is so unimportant. These are two races who share a deep and loving bond. I wish everyone could learn this.

With cameras EVERYWHERE All over the World in cars to Streets, homes ect & the invention of equipment to tract or show the paranormal it has become clear that the World is full of strange things. Also " freedom of information Act" was passed & everything the government has kept quite about for centuries is now open. We know we are not alone in this universe. As a paranormal researcher/ investigator this once unscientific field has become very scientific. And as an animal advocate its also interesting that an animal will be the first to know the presence of something paranormal...they are the true gifts. 🤗

that a baby is born. What happened between the two ladies coming together to recognize the deceased and the living was just "wonderful". It would be so nice for a Organization to establish a program for a hospital to bring to together "the coming in and the going out of life" to be celebrated

my local hospital does it & the day my niece was born they had to play it 3 times within 3 hours (that’s just in the time i was there too)

I’m a bit worried about the lullaby playing at the same time a woman finds out her baby has no heartbeat, is coming in for a DNC because she’s miscarrying, or her baby just died (in utero or shortly after birth).

What a cute little guy. I remember when this was originally aired I thought it was so sweet. Then I saw the time they met and that was a beautiful tear jerker. To see this follow up 4 years later is wonderful. I love that they have the book about her dad so they can see that this isn’t just a name but they can know the person behind the mame! It’s adorable that he is proud to tell his whole name. It’s a name that speaks success. It sounds like the name of a doctor, a teacher or lawyer. Someone who will contribute greatly to ghis country! May he be successful no matter what!

I’m so happy I saw this story for several reasons. I’m from New Iberia & miss hearing those South Louisiana accents! My girls were born in Lafayette in the 80s. I love that new parents can press a button to announce their newborn with a sweet song. Most of all, this story shows the lovely people who live in Cajun country. There are many people from all over who live out their Christian values every day. This is a prime example. Miss y’all Cajuns!!

I wish all hospitals played a lullaby every time a baby was born. I was on an assignment at a hospital in New York that did this. It was really busy and chaotic then this sweet lullaby played and for a slight moment it was calm and peaceful❤. Beautiful Story.❤

This reminds me of a lovely scene from that TV show "Designing Women". Of the older lady passing then one of the Designing Women having her baby. Dolly Parton played the Angel.
