As I myself only collect from circulation (although I only managed to find Benjamin Bunny and Tiggy-WInkle last week when I was in the UK) I really like your coin hunts because they reflect everything in circulation on small scale. I am however absolutely fascinated every time you find foreign coins or do videos about coins that aren't in circulation any more. These round pounds only were taken out of circulation recently of course, but I've only got about half of them in my collection so it was really nice to see you find almost all of them. Thank you for all the great content!

This may have been a while back, but I do occasionally look back fondly at the old round pounds. They went out of circulation before I returned to collecting again. I do prefer th 50p and £2 as they are larger coins for the designs. Steve (buccscoin).

I had a nice Guy Fawkes £2 come through my till today with the "pemember pemember" minting error on the side ring that I was pretty chuffed about. I would love to see another A-Z 10p coin hunt, I have only seen V for village come through my till but fingers crossed.

Did the same thing with all the pound coins out of my fruit machine before taking them the bank, kept one of each didn't go as far as checking dates, just kept the ones in best condition.

In the '80s my dad used to give me a £1 coin on Friday night if I did well in my weekly class test. This meant two star wars figures from the local toy shop, because they were 50p each at the time. It was the end-line clearance of the Kenner-parker figurines and they were being sold off quite cheaply. It's strange how I value both the coins and the figures now.
I find it hard to believe that a bank will save £500 in round coins and wait for you to go and pick them up, once coins go out of circulation, banks recall them & send them back to the mint, they don't give them out again, they're trying to get them out of circulation.

They are the initials of the artist of the queens portrait. The only one it's worth looking for is the Battle of Britain 50p the IRB obverse was only on uncirculated coins JC was on the circulated ones.
1 of my friends has alot of rare £1 coins and was wondering how many different variations are there and can i print him off a check list similar to the 1 you had. Thanks
Have a look at the different designs and go with the one you like the most of. Or if budget is a major factor start with 50ps or even 10ps if your lucky
They are in the discord if you join that I haven't done them for all the denominations though. Have a look on change checker for their charts I use them a lot

I order in what I want and take it out of my account then I pay it back in to another bank (so I don't get the same coins) into a coin machine and transfer it back and start again

Christopher Collects lol I found one in an abandoned Asda trolley about a quarter of a mile away from the store. I returned it to get the coin out then went in to buy a bottle of coke and discovered that the self checkout terminal I used hadn’t been updated in a while as it accepted the old £1 coin, over a year after they were demonetised. Funnily enough the person who took the trolley didn’t need to put the pound in in the first place as my local Asda cut off all the chains on the trolleys when the new coins were introduced to avoid having to change the mechanisms on the trolleys to accept it.

I managed to get F - fish and chips and z- zebra crossing in my till and now I keep my eye out as my boss lets me put them aside and collect them 😁

I think that the common ones will become rarer then the rare ones as everyone will be saving the rare ones.
You could be right there it's difficult to tell and predict haha
But that means rare ones get harder to find
The rare ones will get rarers if people are saving them, that means that their price will go up

If you have a 50p that's worth just 50p, how does it harm the value? While legal tender its still worth 50p.
