As a Starset fan, the whole "music as a story" thing is really cool. Starset sets their music to the theme of Sci-Fi, and I love it. Genuinely amazing stuff.

Kotaku is in a death spiral because the entire internet has been dog piling them for so long that we've gotten bored of it and don't give them the time of day, anymore. So they're being intentionally inflammatory for clicks so they don't have to get a real job. The "x is Dark Souls of Y" thing is such a dead horse that it's now glue. But it pisses off anyone who actually treats this hobby with a modicum of sincerity. That's what I appreciate about channels like this. I can get the catharsis of demeaning a journalist without actually giving them a click and monetizing them. I also get some good color commentary out of it!

The band The Wise Man's Fear actually is releasing albums that are telling a running story in a fantasy land. It's much closer to dark souls than lowest common denominator pop songs about Swift's "tragic" relationships
