My least favorite change has been the change to ADS time. We went from being able to react to a sudden engagement to now being forced to practically always be ADS'd
It was kinda overkill, that's true. But to be honest I prefer that over that shitty 1.5x meta. Yes they could've only removed the different scopes and mantain only the 1.0x and 2.5x like it is now, but hey at least it killed half of the TDM meta
I feel like they have to make up their mind though, because right now it feels like its in a limbo of just slow enough to not really be run and gun but too fast to be meticulous or necessary. They should either put it back to being fast, or slow it down even more to make it an actual decision. ADS'ing should be an advantage though with everything but shotguns, which could maybe be made to more reliably get hipfire kills.
Echo didn't need it tbh and practically makes echo drones useless. The gu mines being partially invisible was perfect and the instant damage nerf was very understandable but the nerfs after that was overkill

2:34 man, Sieges proplayers seem like such crybabies, they have a problem with clearer communication in casual/pubs, when they have teammates they know and are in VC with all the time, and on top of that, one team lost a match/round because they couldn't double tap a Zofia, then went "waah, waah, daddy ubi fix", and of course ubi listened.
Meanwhile Doc gets 3 "lol bad aim" redos (because 99% of Docs are aggressively spawnpeeking rather than being a medic) that give him a load of HP during the animation that usually takes a good few shots to get through. Then the Rook plate self res buff, which he kinda needed because they weren't that useful otherwise, went the other direction by allowing all 5 defenders to eat a shot that would kill them (99% sure you can use plates to tank claymores at any HP) and get up like nothing happened. Altogether, Ubisoft really has a long history of poor decisions regarding R6 (in regards to both gameplay and content). Though I wonder what they'll do regarding the BOSG
Pros didn't hate yellow pings because "it let noobs flourish without learning callouts" it's that it made any kind of camera WAY too strong when used correctly. There is no way to know when people are yellow pinging you. The only way to counter a valk cam when they're yellow pinging you is to have an IQ which made her way too strong which led to having to make Change 10 (no cameras outside). It also made drones that were hidden a free kill with 0 counterplay. When there wasn't a yellow ping available on cams, you had to make the choice to either red ping and give away that you have info on the other person, or have to be able to communicate with your team to tell them where the person is. The pros and high skill players wanted there to be a higher skill ceiling involved and for players to have a choice to make, not just to make the game more difficult.
It's like ubi is allergic to all fun, I understand balancing changes but some of them don't give that much of an advantage and are just fun to play around with.
Yeah they tend to nerf fun stuff instead of buffing the weak things in the game. There are examples where nerfs were necessary like azami on launch. But generally buffs are better imo
The shields are mainly busted because of how much melee priority they get. You cannot viably melee a shield user anymore if they know what they're doing. I've died so many times after watching my melee go out first, hit the shield with an audible clang, and it do absolutely nothing because the shield user melee'd in the same solar cycle that I did. Before the rework shields had to respect entering melee because they could get bullied if they weren't careful. Now they just run up to you and start dry humping you as soon as they can.
Map bans are the only reason i play ranked ever. If they removed i would only ever play standard. Sometimes i just get sick of outback, emerald plains, and theme park and rhey always seemed to be filling my standard games
Well the things you pointed out about sledge, are the reason why I have one of my two elite skins unused for many seasons now. For me it wasn't about the ACOG strategy and smg as secondary. It was about the viability of a shotgun in attack. It made him viable (to some extend) to play instead of buck, because he had nades and could shoot through the ground but in a less destructive way. But well, I now have an smg 11 skin from an elite skin for a character that doesn't even have the gun anymore....

I vaguely remember playing GWars in 2018 with my friend while using pre-reworked Tachanka. Why do people think the turret was so good? And why do people think his gadget is so bad? Not only can he still use his original gadget, just can’t mount it (which would be an interesting buff but also wouldn’t change anything), but he also gets the fire which is a LOT better than people think… Why do you think he has so many shumikas? They’re not like smoke or goyo, it’s not a one and done, you can cover an entire room with fire, killing them, and still have more for later, he serves a different purpose than Smoke and Goyo. He’s also insanely underrated for killing shields.
Who could forget attacker repick? The incredibly controversial at the time, people thought certain operators and certain strategies would be completely useless but I think we can all agree now it was a great change
The BIGGEST and most controversial change ever was the switch back to acog meta. People say the 1.5 made the game all about kills, but the acog is unfair against a 1.0 scope. Playing ops with a 1.0 is unplayable. Siege is at an all time low of how fun the game is.
ranked 2.0 is the reason my friends and i got away from playing siege. it was just confusing and we either stomped our opponents or got stomped + we could not see if we were really improving because we could not even check our mmr
I think the recoil nerfs from North Star should be included. The major nerfs to the R4C and M762 made both practically unusable overnight and led to the LMG meta. Ubisoft's constant recoil nerfing in general is a huge negative for the game but these two in particular are the worst examples.
Another controversial change that they quickly went back on was when they gave Ying 4! Gandelas back in steel wave (i think) which was already overkill even after they had just nerfed her before that... It was completely unnecessary and just made playing against her tedious af I believe they went back on it a month after they implemented it. i can't really remember since i stopped playing around that time
One change I despised was the laser sight rework. Laser sights getting reworked put shotguns in a worse position than they were prior to Heavy Mettle, since they relied on the hipfire buff the sight gave them.
Imo for Solis I would say alr, remove her impacts and this new scanning mechanic is good for balancing but her time usage, can't use while charging and range distance nerf are things they should change back cause it makes her (imo) kinda useless
I don't agree with people who spawnpeek, I just believe it is disrespectful, annoying, frustrating, and just gives the defense a big unfair advantage. On #17, I think removing cooking frags was a bad change because that was a whole gameplay feature they had intentionally coded in , and they just gave up and trying to fix the problem. All they had to do was nerf damage from through floors
@@mythic971 some spawnpeeks are predictable, but others that either give a near instant spawnkill, or weird angles that are very hard to counter are bad for the game. They should focus their attention on designing maps so that attackers can check one spawnpeek at a time.

ranked 2.0 is something i just despise. i hit diamond like 3 seasons ago and then didnt play for like 6 months, and now im just coming back to siege and im in lobbies with diamond and champs ONLY, so i cant re learn the game and have fun. so im just stuck in copper with a 0.5kd going against diamonds and champs, and then i get flamed for playing terrible despite it being the terrible matchmaking that i cant help.
Siege don’t even feel like siege no more, all SAS ops except smoke are 1 speeds for some reason, you have to have a laser on your gun to ads quick so you gotta hold new angles or the enemy sees it, no more 1.5, no more cooking nades they rly killed this game
Remember when if you said a naughty word, it would just outright kick you from the game and ban you for 30 minutes? Spanish speakers would be saying “con” but add an extra o and then get banned and lose rank points for this.
As a Diamond player the best changes was Making spawns peaks visible after 1 sec And the worst changes were: The sledge nerf The grande nerf that removed cooking And the Solis nerf, it’s okay they nerfed solis so she can’t take out the drones pre phase however the other nerfs absolutely killed her
I’m still of the opinion that spawnpeeking shouldn’t be allowed. What’s the point of playing when you spend 90% of the game dead because you can’t even walk three feet? Especially when you play quick match and get new players pitted against champions. The anti-runout in quick match is the biggest blessing I think we received, since I’ll never play ranked. I played it once and was bullied and told to off myself because I whiffed the last round. Never again.
I hate ranked 2.0 for some reason siege thinks I’m a champ and I’m constantly going up against champs, ex-champs or high diamonds when the highest rank I’ve been is plat 3 it’s one of the reasons I quit siege since playing from 2018 sad to see how a game I used to love so much now become something else
Like Ranked 2.0 & Casual rework is why I quit playing siege Completely killed both the competitive side of Siege as I’m placed in High Emrld > Champion level lobbies despite purposefully hanging around high Plat & the Casual aspect of siege, can’t do fun shit no more with all the pre-site setups and that I can’t spawn peak or runout
Gonna say right now at the start of the Video, my prediction is that it is primarely gun nerfs "that ruin the fun" or gadget buffs that make the problem even more oppressive.
Bro idk why but you running no grip on the ALDA seems so cursed from an aesthetic point of view but same goes for basically putting a grip on a LMG in the first place
I bought this game because I saw a man placing a turret down in preparation for enemies. Now I throw a useless gadget then shoot people with guns balanced by magnifications and looney toon crosshairs. They should have never removed Anything that was mentioned in this video.
6:39 “Zofia’s being blue to pick herself up from dbno is too op!! A pro was able to clutch a round because of it!! Remove it!!” “Oh the entire defending team can pick themselves up if they have a Rook? That’s cool” Most bs balancing
I genuinely think every single change has been positive here except for sledge being a 3 speed tachanka and recruit reworks. The game is very balanced now with no broken operators or metas
I think htis video really just highlights the fact that ubisoft needs to understand its ok to admit they fucked up and bring back old things or remove super unpopular changes. the games growth is hindered by a lot of these bad decisions and I feel like it would be best to remove some of the changes in this list like this for the betterment and health of the game and its future.
I hate and many others can agree is going back to 2.5 from 1.5 and 2.0 scope even though people called it the tdm meta this change still didn’t change the meta
And also not cooking nades is so stupid, cause like siege wants to make as realistic as possible so i think cooking the grenades when the pin is out is very realistic and them taking that out betrays their code of honour
Unfortunately it was extremely unfair. They could’ve done something else to nerf them but getting rid of the cook function was overall a positive to the game.
im still mad about the overkill solis nerf.... not using gadget in prepphase ok fair thats what we wanted... yea range gets reduced aswell... hmm that wasnt needed... oh and she lost the impact nade... really dude? why ? oh and the time she can use her gadget is shorter... oh and we changed how the scan works so u no longer see what youre looking at until u use your scan which then gets on cooldown... yea ubi all u had to do was block the gadget in prepphase and maybe reduce ther range a bit thats it.. cant be that hard... but ubi devs are so useless its insane
I always hate it when a change happens cause the pros whine. They are the minority of the game and should learn how to play the game when it gets changed for the rest of the players

The thing about cooking nades as an attacker is it took a tremendous amount of skill and communication before yellow ping.
I remember the shotgun rework controversy like it was yesterday... I think it deserved a place in the list haha
Another controversial change that they quickly went back on was when they gave Ying 4! Gandelas back in steel wave (i think) which was already overkill even after they had just nerfed her before that... It was completely unnecessary and just made playing against her tedious af
I believe they went back on it a month after they implemented it. i can't really remember since i stopped playing around that time
One change I despised was the laser sight rework.
Like the nade thing spawnpeeking was coded into the game as a mechanic. Just watch out for spawnpeeks aint that hard
@@mythic971 some spawnpeeks are predictable, but others that either give a near instant spawnkill, or weird angles that are very hard to counter are bad for the game. They should focus their attention on designing maps so that attackers can check one spawnpeek at a time.

@@bradydean8570 bro the hard ones are hard to hit shots with and just use pre places drones if you really want to counter them
what lol
What about the nerf to zofias gun and putting her a 1 speed with no withstand... Oh and making the reticles thicker than gridlock
And her concussions aren't as effective
ranked 2.0 is something i just despise. i hit diamond like 3 seasons ago and then didnt play for like 6 months, and now im just coming back to siege and im in lobbies with diamond and champs ONLY, so i cant re learn the game and have fun. so im just stuck in copper with a 0.5kd going against diamonds and champs, and then i get flamed for playing terrible despite it being the terrible matchmaking that i cant help.
Siege don’t even feel like siege no more, all SAS ops except smoke are 1 speeds for some reason, you have to have a laser on your gun to ads quick so you gotta hold new angles or the enemy sees it, no more 1.5, no more cooking nades they rly killed this game
Solis isn’t useless, you’re just bad at using Solis, and miss when everybody could use her easily
The worst change is how they massacred ranked, they ruined it horribly
Remember when if you said a naughty word, it would just outright kick you from the game and ban you for 30 minutes? Spanish speakers would be saying “con” but add an extra o and then get banned and lose rank points for this.
2 speed sledge with an smg 11 used to be the most perfectly balanced opperator he was really good if you were a beginner or a pro.
thermite and buck loosing nade was something the community was really mad about, also mozee loosing the shorty was something too.
This video stands out from your other videos and I’m not sure why but it’s for all the right reasons! Great vid
The amount of camera transitions in the video is crazy
zofia withstand and mozzie super shorty getting removed was really upsetting at the time
As a Diamond player the best changes was
Making spawns peaks visible after 1 sec
And the worst changes were:
The sledge nerf
The grande nerf that removed cooking
And the Solis nerf, it’s okay they nerfed solis so she can’t take out the drones pre phase however the other nerfs absolutely killed her
And btw the frost rework was ass and there is literally nobody in higher ranks who falls for her dog ass traps if playing while your brain is active
Like
Ranked 2.0 & Casual rework is why I quit playing siege
Completely killed both the competitive side of Siege as I’m placed in High Emrld > Champion level lobbies despite purposefully hanging around high Plat
& the Casual aspect of siege, can’t do fun shit no more with all the pre-site setups and that I can’t spawn peak or runout
Ubisoft everytime they see players are having fun with the game : "we gonna remove that"
I experienced every single change in this video, and some still make me salty seeing them 😂
not talking abt how they made the incredibly slow is crazy
6:45 crazy transition lmao
Number 1 is BeastMod not streaming anymore after the shield rework
😭
I bought this game because I saw a man placing a turret down in preparation for enemies. Now I throw a useless gadget then shoot people with guns balanced by magnifications and looney toon crosshairs. They should have never removed Anything that was mentioned in this video.
It could be interesting if you made a video on retake strats.
6:39 “Zofia’s being blue to pick herself up from dbno is too op!! A pro was able to clutch a round because of it!! Remove it!!”
“Oh the entire defending team can pick themselves up if they have a Rook? That’s cool”
Most bs balancing
I swear Ubisoft bases their changes off the pro scene instead of their main players
I genuinely think every single change has been positive here except for sledge being a 3 speed tachanka and recruit reworks. The game is very balanced now with no broken operators or metas
If you think so, i got news for you. You should visit a mental facility.
well this is depressing...ubisoft starting to become braindead every after updates wtf
So overall, the skill floor got raised, the skill ceiling got lowered. And camping playstyle got promoted. Its pretty obvious this game went to shit
9:50 Hostage and Secure Area was ruined.
No preplaced reinforced walls and less time to setup a room...
Shields must stay underpowered for a fun game. Because yes Ubi, people play games to have fun, incredible isn't it?
Imo, yellow ping should be visible to the opponent also if they have line of sight.
Ahhh the acog debates, when siege was at its finest
controversial opinion : Ubi does literally anything in R6 and it will be labelled as controversial one way or another
Seeing the p10roni with 20 bullets feels weird
pro players try not to cry when something gets added that they dont like
If you complain you get called a toxic "gamer". And people assume devs are some saints.
I hate and many others can agree is going back to 2.5 from 1.5 and 2.0 scope even though people called it the tdm meta this change still didn’t change the meta
rook self revive is the best ability in the game
Crazy statement
@@BMP true statement
yeah it saved my teammate in a 1v1 in ranked
I won 2 ranked games because of it 😂 but lost one because of it as well
Bandit is fine without the acog always has been cause hes a 3 speed jäger needs his acog back in my opinion
I dont care about balancing but please give us gameplay after death in standard/quickplay
@@bakes1324 could ve been positive but like its unrealistic when they want a realistic game
if siege was supposed to be realistic grenades would be alot more deadly and the person throwing them would probably die alot
@@potatopotahtotomatotomahto2550 I mean of thrown directly at them of course
im still mad about the overkill solis nerf.... not using gadget in prepphase ok fair thats what we wanted... yea range gets reduced aswell... hmm that wasnt needed... oh and she lost the impact nade... really dude? why ? oh and the time she can use her gadget is shorter... oh and we changed how the scan works so u no longer see what youre looking at until u use your scan which then gets on cooldown... yea ubi all u had to do was block the gadget in prepphase and maybe reduce ther range a bit thats it.. cant be that hard... but ubi devs are so useless its insane
14:03 I think the nail in the coffin was removing her impacts
thunt being removed broke my heart
shields are too op now, so they should nerf sledge and take away his hammer
why sens cant see through his own ability but warden can is tragic IMO
1000 hours later and I still use yellow pings with comms cause idk the room names still tf 😂
i wish u could queue for single maps in siege like u do in counter strike... or atleast give us a propper map ban system!!!!!
shield buff is so horrendous
People forgetting about the Blackbeard nerf :(
I played through all of these changes and after the smg 11 was taken away from sledge the game went to shit
Funfact:Most of change is after y4 when ubi swap dev team
Smoke Fmg9 should get acog since nokk has acog😂
That’s just gonna make people play smoke for the wrong reasons. Just like it did with thorn, alibi, oryx, etc.
I always hate it when a change happens cause the pros whine. They are the minority of the game and should learn how to play the game when it gets changed for the rest of the players
My least favorite change is the crosshair changes.
my controversial opinion is that they should've let zofia revive herself
not including dead body rework is diabolical🙏
they made warden a 1 speed because of 1.5 why didnt they change it back?
You didn't talk about zofia withstand being taken away and they gave it to finka and rook lol
no mention to ads- and movement speed changes?
IS THE 1.5 COMING BACK(PLEASE TELL ME YES)( and if no when or is it never ever coming back)
