  • Perito Moreno is the first major stop on our Patagonian adventure in Argentina. We took the afternoon bus and spent four hours watching icebergs calve off of this massive Glacier!
Special shot out to Steve and Rory from Boston who love the Empenyaadas. And Mathieu, my French beer drinking buddy!

+8282metalman thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying it. Patagonia is now like a dream. And we still cannot believe we were there only a few weeks ago.

+Mon Boonprohm I would estimate it in the lower 50's. But the wind coming off of the glacier made things much colder. The windchill made it feel like it was in the 30's at times.

The melting glaciers, sign on the warming ..

The Perito Moreno Glacier is melting and renewing itself since it exists, and in its particular case, it is a glacier whose front wall advances on a peninsula interrupting the flow of water from the lake, which is the one that cyclically undermines it, producing falls of ice blocks and big breaks; over and over again through the centuries ... Global warming is sad, but the Perito Moreno cycle is a gift from Nature!
