That idea with those balloons is ingenious. Thinking outside the box is what would keep you alive. Awsome video

I use a British Army olive green poncho as shelter. It's about the same size as your American one and comes with brass eyelets and press studs. Pretty much bulletproof and has seen me through over twenty years of use and still looks like new!

Full of common sense as usual, and some great new ideas to try with my own pack. Particularly like the rear knife carry pocket. Its on my 'to buy' list when I save up a few pennies for sure! Wish id known you were selling on some of your other gear! lol! All the best and MTFBWY!

I have wanted one of those Thermite bags for a while. I think after watching your video that it would be small enough not to look odd or attract any type of negative attention yet can hold enough emergency gear along with wallet, money, pens, keys and so on. Nice video. Honestly I love the subject, love talking about survival, but I get tired of seeing people pull out gear and explaining what it is. You explain what and why and your ideas for the stuff and why you have it and you are interesting and engaging.

Nice kit bro, and it's GREAT to see you back. I hear you about DELL too. How well does that TCP really work as bug repellent? I always say this, but if you can get it, add in ORAJEL with 20% benzocaine. That stuff is some very quick pain relief from bee stings, cuts, blisters, or anything like that.

Anaa thing with fishing line, probably my primary use of it tbh,
    is perimeter security measures.
Shin high lines (above rabbit height) set to various 'alarm' setups can give you a vital headsup on farmers/wronguns coming up on you.
Edit* I use those same bikelights lol, the glow alone was worth the 4 quid, let aone the bulbs light 👍

Great video with lots of redundancy. 16:30 I would suggest adding a system to hold the water filter to the line. Can't trust pockets. Even something simple like tying the W.F together with cordage( both ends) ,and then using key ring with small cordage to tie around the main body of the filter. Then slip the key ring into the cordage that u shown....

I like this kit ,finally someone using potassium , it covers all basic things ,I would add some coffee mate for porridge in the morning and little marmalade pack a couple of Bovril cubes also as alternative to fishing a light bamboo catapult 99 p on e bay would do the trick ,as well as bamboo spoon ,condom, Kevlar tread, snare wire and candle.

Nice one ! Very hard for me to understand (german) but I like it. I have a pouch like this and even a woodland-poncho in it too. But not that much stuff ! Mine is already uncomfortable to wear, but this one must be hard. I use mine, when I´m out with backpack. That´s the biggest advantage with this leg pouches. But on the other leg I wear an LMF 2 with self made pouch on the sheath.
Good job with the video, good inspiration for me.

I'd like to appreciate your video since it has a lot of information about what BOB should have and how important self-protection is. I was searching the internet today to look for some emergency survival kits and came across this website www.emergencybugoutbags.net/ which offered a lot of cool emergency kits. I just saw your video after that and I loved it. I'm thinking of creating my own BOB soon.

    • @jr10
      @jr10 10 ปีที่แล้ว

Daniel Wescott These sites are everywhere. A more comprehensive site would be Emergency Essentials.
That is not what this video is about. You need to put every day assets together in a usable affordable mobile
kit. This individual did an excellent job of that. If you want to have a generic BOB thorwn together for you at an
exorbitant price, then there are plenty of sites out there to take your money.

i just bought some, online for 2.99$ for a 5 pack so i bought 3, ive seen a ton of "survival" tricks on you tube and other places and its all the same, just with little variations, but those balloons were the first time ive ever been completely blown away by something. its so simple so brilliant and just way out there. and you know what its probably the best signaling tip ive seen, a bunch of flashing multicolored balloons are sure to grab attention for miles at night

don't know if i missed it in the video but you have a cooking vessel and food to heat in it (porridge etc.) but no cooking utensil, i guess you can eat it by pouring it in your mouth or something. But you might want to consider a titanium spork or anything of the like. Overall a very good video keep it up..

Great idea on the striker! Very well thought out kit. You may want to consider a little more food and medical though. If you get injured that 3 day trip could be considerably longer. I know from experience walking on a broken ankle is slow and excruciating.

Everyone's needs vary. There is a difference between not dying and not being miserable. When three days walk out in any direction and warm weather a "survival kit" is not essential, but eating is always desirable.

  • @Quodge

Do you think it would be worth adding a small multi-tool with some folding pliers/wire cutters in case you come across some fence wire and need to make something or need to pry something open? It could also give you a backup knife in case you lose the Fallkniven. The only downside would be a bit more weight.

I want a military grade survival kit. One that has almost everything Just so if the world ends all me neighbors can be like "awww no fair fucker you got all kinds of cool shit that might save you! And then I will be like "ha ha ha you fuckers I showed you didn't I?" Afterwards the group will inevitably raid and probably behead me after I run out of ammo but it's the thought that counts. And that thought in your last moments and the rare end of the world bragging rights, is well worth the money in terms of your last couple minutes of life.

Craig McHugh Hi there thx for watching to be honest I would just wash in warm water. If it is really really bad a small amount of fairy liquid and then a really good rinse.

Hi there thanks again for the views and comments. It take just the normal gas/butane as other lighters. I think I’ve only filled mine two or three times since bought and it will not evaporate from the tank. I’m sure you will be more than happy with it.
