Thank you for the video, I'm about to pull the trigger on the same RC 3inch kit for my 2016 f150 sport, I was undecided on the RC 2inch, but thanks to your video, I'm sure I want the 3in. Thank you ✊
That 3 inch made it look perfect height thats about the height I want because you don't have to tint your windows on that truck because nobody can see inside with 3 inch lift
That’s the way they were in the truck that’s the way they went back in 🤷🏼♂️ after 20k miles it’s had no bad effects, I will say though the bilstiens in my tacoma ride better though 🤪
Thats weird my dad has same truck as well as me and there the other way lol maybe i put them on wrong but I just ordered this same lift for mine running 17x10 -24 offset 33in tires
What’s the height of the bed from the sides, from the ground up, I’m always taking tools out my truck bed from the sides. Can you also let me know what engine you have and the mpg you get?
I think it will look just fine! That’s pretty close to a true 33! You certainly won’t have to do any trimming! You’ll have full turn lock to lock even off-road!
Did you stack the blocks in the rear? Kit only comes with a 2" block. I ordered the same thing and mine is an 1" taller in the front than rear. Not to happy with it right now because of that.
I did stack in the rear, this sits about 1 inch higher in the rear than the front. It did make the U-Bolts seem a bit short though, would recommend going and buying longer ones and cutting to size once on and tightened.
Spindles are stock, ball joint angle is not the worst I’ve seen, I have since put other control arms on though. Would recommend doing that right of the bat if you will be putting a higher offset wheel on it
Well I suppose we all learn along the way, thanks for the view and the interaction! Still available to help with the actual install if the instructions are a bit hard!
@@johnramsayskier any update as to if you ever had any CV axle issues 2 years later? I live in Colorado and to do easy to moderate trails on the weekends. Moderate being 12" - 18" rocks at times
@@NeonTuner524 I owned the truck for a year after this video and I had no issues the next owner has not had issues either. I did not have any issues with it off-road and it saw plenty of ungraded dirt roads and some "moderate" colorado and arizona trails
Ok I’m just seeing this video if your 3 inch rough country lift for Tyler f150. You posted this 9 months ago, can I ask you if you are still happy with the lift and how does it ride?
While they don’t have the exact kit I bought any more, this one is pretty close and adds a new upper control arm for better ball joinT angles! shop.redline360.com/products/rough-country-lift-kit-ford-f150-4wd-09-13-3-suspension-lift-kits-w-struts-shocks?variant=39772525854800¤cy=USD&msclkid=90541e1f564e1bc903677d53df10945d
Ride quality was consistent throughout the 30k miles I put on the truck before I sold it. I would consider going to a bilstien 5100 for a better damping going over washboards and such
Nope! Steady to exactly 75mph *I would never go faster because that’s against the law 😉, I suspect it’s a wheel weight or tire wear if you are experiencing a shake. Have you tried rotating the tires to see if it helps?
These I believe were 17x10 we did this lift about three years ago now and I had the wheels about 6 months before that, they may not make them any more in that size, I could also be wrong!
@@johnramsayskier i appreciate the response. I ended up getting some 17x9s and went with the 6inch lift. Because of your video, i was able to decide on what we wanted. Much appreciated!
Adriel Gutierrez yes it did! There is about 5 more inches of ground clearance with the lift and tires! Also without the lift the truck would have needed a lot of trimming for 35s!
J Ramsay awesome I’m getting ready to do almost the same setup on my 2019 but trying to decide how big of tire I can go. Do you know what your offset on your rims was? Your truck looks super nice considering it’s only a 3” suspension lift.

I'm prolly the only one that noticed this but you installed rear shocks backwards 😏

Awesome channel J. I’m a new subscriber. 👊🏼🍻
That lift still looks good but to me it just doeent seem tall enough or does it not have long springs because longer springs increase the height
Thank you, was looking at this RC kit. How did it ride after?
It rides better than stock to be honest! I think that’s mostly the 35s helping though!
What’s the height of the bed from the sides, from the ground up, I’m always taking tools out my truck bed from the sides. Can you also let me know what engine you have and the mpg you get?
This truck has the coyote 5.0 and gets 17mpg, too tall for getting tools out of the bed for sure
I hope 285 70 17 looks big enough with the 3 inch lift i just bought. Anyone know? Still have time to trade tires

Does this same lift kit fit for the 2015-2020 trucks?
Nope I believe they are sprung and valved differently.
Very nice, could you measure the highest part of truck height? I want to know if a setup like this will fit inside my garage.thanks!
I will measure it tonight! I think it will fit in most garages!
@@johnramsayskier so what was the measurment cause im gonna lift my 07 f150 stx by 3 inches to
Overall height is 7’1” in the middle and slightly lower on the other cab corners unloaded with no one in the cab.

Did you get any rubbing on the control arm with metal on frame of the truck?
No I did not

Nice truck! I'm looking at this kit for my new 2020. Have you had any problems with cv axles or ball joints? Hows the ride compared to stock?
Bob ride is a bit stiffer compared to stock but even with some light off-roading everything has held up great!

Rides a little rough empty but still very happy with it over 10,000 miles of driving no issues.
What are the wheels called? I’ve been looking for some I liked and I really like those
“Fuel off Road Assault” Black w/milled accents

Do the control arms come in contact with the shocks at full droop?
No these did not, it was fully functional even at full stuff and full droop crossed up in a sharp ditch.

@@ethanspruill7539 of course! let me know if you have any other questions, I sold the truck so I am running off memory now!
Is there still any rake? I want to buy this kit but I’d like to have it level
Not much rake especially if you keep anything in the bed, would not recommend if you tow much weight.
Did the lift really make a difference in the truck it looks about the same size as before the kit was on?
Adriel Gutierrez yes it did! There is about 5 more inches of ground clearance with the lift and tires! Also without the lift the truck would have needed a lot of trimming for 35s!
Did you get any tire rub or have to trim at all?
Yes I had to trim the fender liners just a hair, they only rubbed at full lock backing up though, or off road.
