Very thorough walkthrough. It’s helpful to have the socket sizes said multiple times throughout the video. EDIT: After installing this lift kit on my 2018 F150, this walkthrough is MUCH better than the written instructions that come with the kit. Also, the vacuum pump isn’t absolutely necessary for the IWE actuators. You can remove the axle without pulling vacuum on the IWE as well as re-install the axle. Just go slow and ensure you seat the axle gears fully into the hub/IWE. Good lift kit for the money, awesome look with 33”s.
Installed this kit on my 2018 super crew F150 and love the stance ! I had it installed by a shop and they aligned it at the same time. I threw some 33’s Toyo AT3 on them and wow
I honestly had a similar concern but I’m at 48,000 miles now with this kit and no issues. I checked my CV joints the other day and they still look just fine. I don’t have any issue recommending this kit. Looks awesome and is jut the right about of lift, imo.
Having ran a spacer for years...and then finally smartening up and getting a proper length coilover shock. It is NIGHT & DAY better with a proper strut. I will never again run a spacer.
You definitely can't beat the performance of proper coilovers like Bilstein or Fox! Spacers are great for the budget though, both options have their own pros and cons! -Zach
Nice. I've been looking to get my truck lifted, nothing too crazy. I got a 2016 f150 5.L v8 and im also looking for to get bigger tires soon. As of right now, I'm running 265/70/R17 10ply.
Anyone running a tire middle of the road between a 33 and 35 inch. I was looking at installing this lift with the 3 inch Rough Country Coilovers on a 2018 F150 XLT using the stock rims, spacers and LT295/70R18 tires which run 34.3 inches. Any rubbing or do you absolutely need to stay in a 33 inch class tire to ensure no rubbing.
Well hell. I’ve searched everywhere for this same setup BUT for my 2018 F150 RWD. I have a Motofab leveling kit on the whole truck currently but want to redo and go higher and want the front and rear spacers, and upper control arms and rear shocks. Basically this exact setup but in 2WD. HELP!!!!!!!
Rough Country splits the fitment between 09-13 and 14-20. We do have this for the 2009-2013 that you can check out here! --> www.americantrucks.com/rough-country-f150-3-inch-bolt-on-arm-suspension-lift-kit-premium-n3-shocks-51013.html

What’s the wheel and tire set-up on this truck? Looks like Pro-Comps!

They’re doing mine today for $1400 with labor I’m stoked I feel it’s a great deal and has the heavy duty struts
@jward044 any issues so far, I would like to get this kit
Long term how does this affect the cv joints since this changes their angles? It would seem it could shorten their life.

@@Pilot545 Thanks Mike that makes me feel much better.
The control arms included fix the issue with wear and tear

Looking at these but im wondering if i can just use a proper coil over shock instead of the blocks.?

Yes I run a 295x60-20 which is 34x12 with aftermarket Hostile wheels that have about a inch extra offset and I don't rub at all.

Great kit,i am interested adding 3" block at the back or maybe add the old block..
Can i install this kit without disassembling the front shocks and only bolting on the top spacers
It can be placed 3 inches in front. or recommends 2.5 in front. spencer
@AmericanTrucks what’s the wheel and tire set-up on the truck? Those look like Pro Comps!
When this item is available? “Rough Country Forged Upper Control Arms for 2.50 to 3.50-Inch Lift”
This should be back in stock within 5-6 weeks. Sorry about that!
Would run 33 inch tires on a 3 inch lift. Could do that with a level kit… but maybe just me
Is it made for 4WD only
so what would you use for a 2014 f150 4x4 reg cab?
Can i fit 285/75r18 size tires on my 2020 f150?
What’s the wheel and tire setup?
That STX in the video is a 2WD truck 🤔
Everything looked good except how he tightened the u bolts... Don't do that! Tighten them evenly!
I like torquing down suspension parts at ride height. I don’t tighten anything down at full droop.
Dont know why this wouldnt work for a regular cab 4x4
No 21 or 22?? 😞
Why can you put it on a 2013? It’s the same exact thing

That truck is not leveled lol
Why did you unplug the steering?
Can I run this with my 2.5 leveling kit?
That’s what I was thinking 😎💪
Don’t install the rear the block it will still look the same but taller
The music. Irritating
should fit 09 and up. because 14 is same as it
Mostly the same but the 14 has the 15+ lower shock mounts on the control arms
