Yay lighter safety! This feels like a video that should of happened WAYY earlier in your channels career a lot of these are points you've mentioned in videos previous but its nice to have them all in one place! I love your channel keep up the good work 🔥
Absolutely love the channel. When I was a kid in school I had a total fascination with zippos. Have never been a smoker at all but just always love the feeling you get when using them, theres literally nothing like it. Was recently trying to simplify my EDC items and looking around youtube for ideas. Saw a few guys using zippos for EDC and had an insane urge to go pick one up again haha. Been really enjoying looking through your channel to get educated on all things zippo. Appreciate what you're doing 🤘
@@TomMcCormickGuitar thanks Tom ! I appreciate that. Yeah I have a video , reasons to carry a zippo for a non smoker. They are a great tool. It’s fun to do the maintenance, they are classy and timeless. And more reliable in the winter months
Do you recommend removing the flint from lighters that will not be used for a long time? What should be done with the spring of these? Should the spring be put back into the lighter or is it stored outside? Thank you so much.
I was waiting till the end of the video to write an addition but you got them all (at least what I can think of). I'll never forget my third Zippo fill ever. Left the container open AND overfilled which led to my hand bursting into flames, singed hair and a burning Zippo being tossed in the sink which was luckily nearby. Wont be making that mistake again. XD
I've gotta know where and how did you get that 8 ball candle zippo lighter I can't find it anywhere the only one I can find is the same design but it's like blue yellow and gold I can't find a black one
@@awesomebrad1112 the only one u can find is the one in the video lol. It’s not black. It’s teal. Green blue gold mixture yes that’s correct. I have a short on it too and unboxing video go check em out
ZF77: You are doing the lighter community a strong favor by taking the time to review these important details! I’ve used liquid fuel devices since the 1960s. So some things that I don’t even think about-are entirely alien to our new generations. I appreciate your reviewing these points! I will add: your point about zippo liquid fuel causing a chemical burn-I have only had a Ronsonal burn one time. That’s all it took for me to make sure it never happened again! (That was in the 1970’s…)
I would add: Be aware of your surroundings when using the lighter. If you drop it while it is lit, don't try to catch it. Try to put the lighter upright in your pocket to minimize the risk of fuel leakage. Never use it while driving.
Another bonus must follow zippo safety rule.... Never tell your wife you bought an expensive zippo... That'll get you in more trouble than chemical burns from the fluid
Ok my question is i have seen zorro on alexi. For around 15.00 for the 912. Pk how do you know if this is genuine zorro. Or fake. And im assuming chinese wont make fake chinese brands or am i wrong. I did find a zorro company weblink i think but prices are not cheap couldnt reply to your reply to me so sending another comment. Cant even delete the original comment.
@@Trooper0910 well bro I since it’s a zorro I wouldn’t honestly care if it was original or not. As long as it was the cheapest possible price. And here’s why. Those 912’s are machined. The specs are widely available online. So anybody in the world with a cnc machine would be making the identical product.
I know these rules before i started using zippo i read the rules many times on the internet the worst thing was scratch my skin on my finger with striking wheal wery sharp wheal for striking flint
This video is to ensure all new comers are operating their zippo at maximum safety levels

hey thanks for doing this. people tend to treat them like playthings. but like any flame it can burn your house down. be safe people
Yeah it’s never to late to learn. Hopefully this video prevents a lot of injuries

Yes I always remove the flint from lighters I’m storing for long of periods of time. No the spring is Fine as long as the flint is out

Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅Also, don't run with scissors or sharp pointed objects except during Charge Bayonets! 😉😅
Black Single Torch Butane Zippo Lighter Insert is release.
Yeah that’s cool. I want the gold though. I think the black would look sharp in a black matte or crackle but I don’t carry those. I’m a brass head now
Is the butane lighter a Zorro? I was recently looking for a brass butane insert
Yup that’s the zorro single torch with sight glass window to see butane level
