That Harley Sundowner Seat is a good Touring Seat for the Money...I went with the TallBoy Harley Seat because of my 34in inseam...The Sundowner seat shoved me to close the tank...
I upgraded my seat with a factory option at delivery. This is a first for me as I usually fit pretty well in the factory seats (previously rode a Nomad (02-13) and then a Voyager (13-24), both Kawasakis and both rode more than 60,000). The upgrade seat included the cooled feature I find very helpful on a hot day. It starts off very subtle but after 20 or 30 minutes you can feel it definitely making a difference which continues to grow as you ride longer. Was it worth the $1500 upgrade? IDK. May be more of a novelty feature but it was one that influenced me to choose the Indian brand (how long before Harley offers their version?). It doesn't feel any different than the stock seat but I've only rode distances on the upgrade seat (test rides and showroom impressions previously). The Indian seat is much more firm than the Kawasaki seats but it offers good support. So far my longest day have been about 320miles. I look forward to your videos...you're good at this and make me think about things that wouldn't otherwise cross my mind. Also love the earned respect for multiple brands.
Do you feel a bounce in the seat when you hit a decent dip or bump? Mine does it and am not a fan. Feels like the seat pan flexes ans bottoms out then that force goes into my back, didnt have that issue with stock seat
Comfort before design? Amen brother! Thank you for the video, I got a 24 SG yesterday and have a Sundowner ordered, so this video was helpful.
I rode 466 yesterday on my new sundowner seat. It is much better than stock.
Friday I rode 466 mile on my new sundowner seat. I like it much better than the stock seat!

I’d keep the stock windscreen-apparently you can get major speed wobbles with a different windscreen other than the stock one.
what size windshield are you using?
Awesome review. I ride 2 up and my wife is not a fan of the stock opinion.

I do feel the bounce. I feel like the bounce gives an extra relief from a harsh bump.
I’ve bought several Harleys. The very first thing I do is remove the useless passenger strap and throw it away.
My children sometimes ride with me. They will hold on to the passenger strap.
8:40 your gas is low sir😅
Firm seat is better, windshield distortion is terrible. (Harley failed here)
That's not the stock windshield. That's an aftermarket that he chose to put on it offered by Harley.
@@williamtufts3600 It's an after market made by Harley shield
@williamtufts3600 it's not the stock windshield, but it is a harley branded aftermarket windshield.
Pretty ordinary, you pay all that money for a touring bike then have to spend more cash on a better seat.
