Just curious, what makes you choose SG over a RD I’m new to the HD community and iv been taking notes so I can decide witch one I can buy

Been living in the Tampa Bay area since 1972 and have seen snow on the ground once...in 1977. Can usually ride year round but the summers are awfully hot.

OK.. so the Street Glide Ultra is back in the lineup for 2025 as announced by Harley Davidson but what about the Road Glide Limited. That's the one I was waiting on with the new 117 engine design and new cooling system and with lower leg farings

Here in Iredell, Texas we were expecting snow like you got there, but all we got was ice as usual. I think the DFW area got some snow. Stay warm!

Harley has been pushing the road glide over the ultra by stating it's the #1 Touring bikes and how people put more miles on the RG. I believe the RG is easier to build than the batwing. They're sinking if they don't come out with a ultra limited.

I live in the Charlotte metro area and bought my last 2 bikes at Raging Bull. I ride down to 22 degrees without heated gear. Ride safe brother.

I’ve ridden in the 20’s but really wasn’t much fun. 30’s not too bad. Just gave to dress for it, 🥴!

I worry about ice and will never ride if there is a chance of ice on the roads/bridges.

I have ridden in the low teens and am not averse to riding in even cooler temps. All language aside, you have to be smart when it is truly cold. In the teens any exposed skin can frost bite so you have to make sure your neck and other areas that may catch wind are protected. Another key is proper attire and for me that includes heated gear. I am currently riding with Hotwire gear and it is OK. Previously I had a Tourmaster suit that heated better, especially the gloves. I bought it in 2007 or 2008 and it really was long in the tooth (only 3 adjustments and the jacket controlled the gloves so there was no independent adjustment). My Hotwire was certainly economical (gloves and jacket liner and adapter to plug directly into the bike was less than $400) but doesn't provide as much heat as the Tourmaster did. I highly recommend heater gear if you are going to ride in below freezing temps. Whereas I am not averse to riding in cold (with proper gear, a ride in the teens or 20's is more enjoyable than a ride in the mid 90's), I am averse to riding in the rain. Hail is serious and should be seriously avoided (thankful for modern weather apps that can alert us...not that many years ago we just had to guess and hope for the best). Rain lowers visibility for biker and cager alike and also traction. The risk of an accident rises so much when you add a hard rain. Yeah, I got the skill to pull it off but the risk just doesn't make sense if it can be avoided (and we all get caught in the rain...a big difference from intentionally riding in the rain). Rain also makes the bike so much harder to clean (funny how the bike seems to get lower to the ground every year after passing 50) and I do like to keep my bike clean. A long answer to a short question...I may not be a cold weather wuss but I'm sure some would call me a wet weather wuss...

I'm from Colorado and I'm a weather wussy. I usually don't like to ride when it's under 50°😂 The older I get the more I hate the cold

Great video thanks for the info on the Horn, it will be very useful to me as I had the same experience of not being able yo reach it when needed. In regards to the speakers I upgraded to the stage II and it's awesome, but before I upgraded I bought a taller windscreen and it made a huge difference, also if you go under settings, under sound there is an option that goes from 1 to 14 I thing that will make your speakers sound louder. Have fun!!

To buy a street glide or road glide and all the parts to make it a limited it's just way too much money

I am curious about that seat you have on your bike. Is that a Harley Seat? It looks very similar to the Ultra Limited seats, but the seat is the one thing that kept me from switching from the Ultra Limited to the new Street Glide last year. So far I haven't found a suitable seat that is comparable to the Ultra Limited, that will fit the '24 and up Street Glide

Your source isn't very good. They pulled it down already, but it was visible on the website yesterday that the ultra is an options package to add on to a street or road glide. There will be no ultra from factory

Leaks already indicate a FLHXU model for 2025. Definitely could be a SG Ultra

I think that it would be a bad decision to not continue producing the Limited version. The differences between the new generation and the old one, in my opinion, does not justify the price of the modular theme that HD is using. Those of us who ride Limiteds want a turn key touring model.

Even if they came out with ultra Limited, there would be some design issues like the headlights for one the headlights on that street glide this kind of square so how could you put spotlights matching that?

I just ordered a chopped tour pack with the wrap around back rest from Hogworkz. My street glide is blue burst so I won’t see it until mid February, I also have the sundowner seat which isn’t broken in yet but is better than stock.

Indian will reveal new bigger engines in next month with redesign fairing.

Do you have the embedded navigation? I don’t and can’t get the setup you have with the navigation in the center. I’m just using apple CarPlay with the Waz app.

I had sinister. Sounds do my bike during bike week. Big improvement.

I chose the Road Glide and after 7 months I traded it for the Street Glide and happy with my decision.

We watch many of the same tubers. I would add Itchy Boots, BoDean 52, 2 up and overloaded and Two Indians, although he hasn’t put many riding videos out this year. Thanks for the video!

A couple that I watch are BoDean52, Ride with two indians, Professional monkey and Shadetree Surgeon.

Traded in my 2012 Street Glide and got a 2024 Chieftain. I can't really compare them. The 12 year difference makes the chieftain better in every imaginable way. I'm sure the 2024 street glides ride great. Too bad about the stereo though
