Excellent. FYI. Initially I drew a 45 degree line on a post it note. Practiced indoors with that. Gotta say I couldn’t believe how crap my backswing was. After getting the feel of the change went out and had 4 straight pars and shot 82. Your design is better than the original. 👏👏
I prefer your method of attachment, I used magnets in my design. I gave it to the pro at my club, he liked the concept and went a bought the real McCoy. Like you said, a bit over engineered. Like you I don't mind copying or modifying a design for my own use but it's important to respect people's intellectual property. I look forward to seeing your future builds.
Super interesting. May I ask what material did you use (it looks hard, so I assume ABS or PLA). Is there a risk on graphite shafts that it could damage the paint? I thought materials like PETG or TPU could alleviate that concern. Appreciate your take on this.
Hello, thank you for this! We 3d printed one for myself, however it doesn't fit on my sons clubs. Are you able to help change the drawing so we could print one for him? Thanks, RC
The prototype was made for adult clubs. If your son’s shafts are slightly thinner it might not work. I would suggest leaving it in the sun or using a hair dryer to heat it up and bend the gap to close it a little. I did that for my daughter. I don’t really want to finance the cost of creating a junior version as I paid a 3rd party to create the 3d files and print them for me. Hope that helps and that you understand.
Hello, thanks for your response. I will try heating it up a bit. I appreciate you spending the money to create the 3d file in the first place. Thank you very much. Great training aid.@@migmatisgolf
I’m living the straightaway! So simple yet very effective. The GEM is really good for pure beginners to get the feel of the club face closing and squaring up at impact but the straightaway is so versatile.
Send your email address to migmatisgolf@gmail.com and I’ll try to send the file to you. I just tried to download it again and it worked so I’m not sure what the issue is.
What kind of device are you using? A PC or mobile device? I just tried again on my phone and it works. You might need a third party app or program that reads .STL to open it but you should be able to download it. If not send me an email where I can forward the file.
I didn’t print them myself. I got a third party to do it but I believe it was ABS. The item is so small and isn’t put under any stress in use so not sure it would matter much. Sorry I can’t be more help.
I just tried again and it worked for me. The file is 1.53 MB in size. You need a program or app that will read STL files to open it. File is not locked.
😂😂extending your finger ain’t gonna do jack. If you understand the purpose of the device and the built in angles you will find that a round finger won’t work.
@@migmatisgolf First and foremost am a very good golfer so I don’t care! If you look at some youtube footage of Leadbetter he actually describes that the device is designed after right index drill of him. So now you can extend your right index into your butt and chew on it!
just downloaded your STL file....thank you so much!
Was about to try and design one in fusion, thank you for doing this, printing it as I type!

Thank you for this!!!
You should do a diy swing trainer. That hoop thing. I been thinking about a way to make it on the cheap
Love you man ❤❤❤
Thanks. Got 3 made for about $50 for me and friends.
Any plans near future to make anymore? Gladly cover cost for a few ? Fever wants more than that. Any help appreciated
yep they gave me a list but no luck to date thanks
Terrific work 👊… Ill have to field test it but based on your last video about it expect it to be underwhelming ;)
awesome having trouble finding someone to print the STL File any help with a company would be greatly appreciated thanks
Have you tried the site Fiverr? Just do a search on there for 3d printing and a bunch will pop up.
I can’t print the STL can’t even find the STL even with all your emails and instagrams links I come up empty
Like it G !

@@alainsimeon3196 I believe it is PLA. It’s pretty smooth on the inside so no real risk of damage to the paint.

For whatever reason I cannot print or even get the STL file so I can have somebody make one of these for me. Help anyone!?!?
Thank you for this video. Which training aid do you prefer the Leadbetter Straight Away or the GEM that you made? Thank you.

Google Drive is saying it doesn't support this file type, anyway you can help me out?

What type of plastic do you recommend for 3D printing? (ie. PP, PE, ABS, PC, etc.)

When I click to get the STL file I only get one picture, is the file locked?

is your file in inch or mm? Thx for all your great content
I believe it’s in mm. Thanks for the support.
How long would this typically take to print ?
Sorry I don’t really know as I had someone print them for me.
4.5 hours
A lot of work... The device copied is only $79.00.
Or you can simply extend your right index finger during backswing for free. What a lost of time😂
