Hey David, yeah buddy that really was a fun afternoon ride. It’s always much different out there in the woods at night. Trying to find your way back. Thanks for checking out the video.
I drilled and tapped holes in my front rack for 2 car antennas just for spider webs. I keep them on during the summer, people always ask me what’s that for, when I tell them, they say, that’s a great idea!! 2 - $18 ss antennas, keeps the spiders out your face!!
Just finished watching this video, the spider web catching tree limb, reminds me of our trip to Hatfield and McCoy trails 2 weeks ago. My wife and I came upon to guys on atv's and they told us we needed these 3 long vertical rods attached to the front of our quads to catch the spider webs on the trails. My wife said we didn't need them since I was usually in the lead. My thought was, well if you guys were wearing proper full face helmets, and goggles, rather than bicycle helmets, and sunglasses, you wouldn't need these rods either.! My wife and I would trade off riding lead, and never had a problem with webs there. I couldn't see how you were doing on fuel at night, but I can imagine not knowing exactly where you were was exciting as well as nervous. Night rides can be exhilarating when you have some idea where you are, but you don't, it's a whole new feeling. It's a good thing when someone recognizes a trail that you've been on already. I know we went around the mountain twice on the Rock house trails, at Hatfield mccoy trails, trying to get back to cabin. My wife was like, no we haven't been here, and I was telling her, we most certainly have, I'm taking the lead now.! Lol
Yeah the spider tree limb worked well don’t really like spiders crawl all over me.LOL! Yup riding at night is a whole different experience the trail can be right there and you not even see it. Thanks for checking out the video!

78 miles is a pretty long day. We've ran several trail rides around 120-150 miles in a day. Most of the time we average 50-80 miles on a ride. People don't realize that because those are trail miles it gets to be a very long day at times and will really wear you out. Glad ya'll made it out, might not have been too fun sleeping all night long with those spiders, lol. I'd say our longest ride was when we took off at 7am and got back around midnight, 17 hours. For some reason that day we just couldn't call it quits. And that was from the house to the trails and back to the house all on the 4 wheelers and side by sides. We are fortunate that we live only 4 miles from the Spring Lake area which leads into the Magazine trails. We have a bunch of old trails on the south side of us back toward hot springs area too but the Tree Cops will write you a ticket if they catch you in those parts. We ride them anyway. Almost got caught twice in past few years but since I grew up on those trails I know them as good as the game wardens do and they ate my dust both times. Those trucks are no match for an ATV or sXs in that type of country side. I know several who have gotten big tickets for riding out there. But I've ridden there all my life, not gonna stop now. Besides, why the hell is the government trying to kick people off of the tax payers land anyway?
Oh man we could go on forever talking about the overreach of government! LOL. I can see why you still ride those trails you pay your taxes there in Arkansas and have been running them all your life and now they want you to stop. That’s some long rides you guys do. 50 miles is about average for us. We usually try to be back before dark to the campsite just makes it easier cooking dinner and such. Although the rides that end after dark are really fun! It’s so different on the trails at night. Thanks for checking out another video my friend!
@@kcatv9556 Yeah but its a little different for us. Once we get done on a long ride like that we come back to the comfort and convenience of our own home. Get showers, eat and go to sleep in our own beds. When you're camping like ya'll do, you have to get back a little earlier and take care of things. We also don't go back riding the next day either like ya'll do. So that makes some difference as too how long we ride too. As for the government over reach, they are just harassing people and trying to find ways to make money off of law abiding citizens. Its pitiful the way these politicians sit around and try to enforce all these socialist and communist rules on the American People, all the while ignoring our already existing laws that for the most part protect our constitutional rights, but they choose to ignore that part. They sure don't like us southern folks cause we tell them all to stick it where the sun don't shine! We refuse to comply with laws/rules that infringe upon our rights. If that means trouble, oh well, so be it.

I'll bet that's a cool spot when there's water in that creek. There's some good sized rocks in that hill man. Those old foundations are cool to check out. We owned a piece of property up in star lake, WI that had foundations on it from back in the late 1800s-early 1900s when the railroad was going strong. It's amazing how a place once had quite a few homes now has virtually no one living in the area. Interesting to imagine. Haha, that tree being stuck on the machine made me think of some Elmer Fudd level camouflage strats! This ride just keeps getting wilder! Hahaha, Ms. K is going to make you walk up that hill. You could patent yourself a webcatcher for the front of machines. Hurry, do it quick! So do you save your GPS tracks? If so, do you load them on your PC and edit them? Name them? Add notes for difficulty and that stuff? You would have yourself such a great library of info because I have to imagine there's not alot out there about these trails. The difference between your lights and Ms. K's is huge! HID life baby. I'm pretty amazed there's no one else out there riding. I guess if it's Sunday. Glad you survived, haha. Good luck with your Arkansas spiders, lol. Always a pleasure buddy!
Hey Buddy! Yeah same here when we come across old foundations and ruins like that I imagine what it was like living there back then. Yeah the web catcher made it much more comfortable not having spiders crawling all over me. LOL Although I did have poison ivy on my stomach and my titties that’s why I was itching. LOL Lately I have been saving my GPS tracks on my phone but I haven’t transferred them to my PC yet. Would like to at some point would be interesting. The H ID lights are nice if we done more night rides I would probably get some for Ms K machine. Thanks for checking out the video my friend appreciate the awesome comment!
Good lord...my anxiety went through the roof watching this one. Haha Not knowing exactly where your going...at night, with some of those sketchy parts...I would have been yelling at you!(jokingly of course) Great video my man. 70+ miles! Dang!
Hey Buddy!, Haha it was an adventurous afternoon.. It’s more difficult than you would think trying to find a trail at night you just can’t see where they’re at. 70 +miles The gas gauge was down to the last bar on fuel, we had extra fuel with us of course. Hopefully one of these days you guys can join us on an adventure like that. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@kcatv9556 when u guys get back to camp...do u leave ur machines out? Do u secure them somehow so they don't get stolen? Or do u tuck em away in the trailer?
@@IIIIHOLYSMOKESIIII We leave the machines out at night but we do secure them with a cable lock. We have never had an issue with anything being stolen but you never know. ATV and UTV theft in Arkansas is pretty high.
Was wondering what type of GPS unit you are using the larger one, I also noticed you have a garmin mounted on your quad as well what is the purpose of having 2 gps units. Any help would be greatly appreciated trying to find a good GPS unit from my Honda rancher
Hi Thomas The larger unit I’m using is my phone with the Avenza maps app on it. Using that for a GPS unit. The smaller unit is a eTrex 20 Garmin unit. The small unit just makes a track of where you ride that’s why I run it. lately I have been using my phone with the Avenza App and making tracks with it. So there’s really no reason to run the smaller unit, it’s just going along for the ride now. Before I started using my phone all we were using was the small unit making tracks. It really done a good job helping us find our way back to camp. Hope that helps you out thanks for watching!
Haha yeah, that’s what we were thinking to. The trails were a lot more difficult to find at night than you would think. Thanks for checking out the video!

LOL
Although I did have poison ivy on my stomach and my titties that’s why I was itching. LOL
Lately I have been saving my GPS tracks on my phone but I haven’t transferred them to my PC yet.
70 +miles
The gas gauge was down to the last bar on fuel, we had extra fuel with us of course.
Great video .what type of gps are you using .?
I’m using the Avenza app on my phone for our gps.
Hope that helps you out, thanks for checking out the video!
New trail memes your lost??

Hello big freedom, we use the Avenza app. Have fun on your trip to Mulberry. Thanks for checking out the video!
With all the gps's how did you get lost? Great ride!!
Haha yeah, that’s what we were thinking to.
The trails were a lot more difficult to find at night than you would think.
Thanks for checking out the video!
the white one looks like the suzuki 700cc kingquad
There was no Suzuki riding with us. Thanks for checking out the video. Much appreciated!
It's no fun until to get lost.. 🤣🤣🤣

Just came across your videos. Where are you guys from?
We live in Kansas and do most of our riding in Arkansas.
We do travel to different states from time to time and ride as well.
Thanks for checking out our videos much appreciated!!
What do you guys use for your com in your helmets?
Hi David, we are using the Sena 30K units from sena.com.
Thanks for checking out the video!
its a good thing ya'll didn't run out of gas, the footage was starting to give me vibes from The Blair Witch Project :)
Hahahahaha! Yeah it’s always spooky out there in the woods at night. Lol
Thanks for checking out the video much appreciated!
i know one of your things is gps but whats that in middle with the numbers moving like a speedomoter
That is a tachometer, A/F sensor gauge, and engine temperature gauge.
Hope that helps you out thanks for checking out the video!
Please tell me what GPS system you are using? I have a hand held Garmin and the screen is so small it is unusable. thanks
I am using the Avenza Maps app on my phone for the GPS.
Hope that helps you out thanks for watching!
if you guys are going to keep doing these night rides you might think about better lighting :)
We typically don’t do a lot of night riding, or I would think about a light bar for Ms K
Thanks for checking out the video thanks for checking out the video
My cfmoto 600 would of ran out of gas on that run
We carry extra gas just for situations like that. They make for great adventures. Thanks for checking out the video!
