I just thought i would tell ya how much i love watching ur alls videos....i like how u dont play music like some other people does and u keep talking about where u r and everything....and i love when u all go in them old buildings and explore them....if u ask me go in about every building u see.....REALLY GOOD CHANNEL AND GREAT VIDEOS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND MORE IMPORTANTLY KEEP RIDING!
Really enjoyed this video,This is an abondoned Native town, back in the day had boarding school. And the lodge was abondoned because of Natve land rights issus, back in the day!! up the road from there east is MacIntosh,CN had a station and a small community of cabins and resedents. Now pretty much everything CN is gone except the track and siding. And cottages around the lake, sill there, modernised.
Yes, what you did was very interesting (I work as a filmmaker so my brain is always stirring about this kind of stuff). It was a video tour, but not over-thought by any means. A simple POV experience to a place that few people could get to go to. There was also an eeriness to it that kept me interested around every corner (almost a fear of the places to a degree). It was really immersive! Footage looked great.
Thank you very much Mike. This video was taken back in 2011 before we had external mics. Hopefully we have come a ways since then but we are just learning as we go. Just checked out your site, impressive...you have some skills! Maybe we can pick up a few pointers. We might even go back and check out this spot tomorrow as it has been awhile. Thanks for watching and commenting, we appreciate it.
Haha, cool. Yes, if you have any questions perhaps I can be of help. I make a living as a cameraman so I might have some insight here and there. Looks like you guys are doing just fine though. Simple, reflective, relaxed. Let the audience enjoy the experience without being over-informed. This is what you guys are already doing with that last video. Keep it simple but interesting.
You are so lucky, down where im from in 30 min of ridding trails in the middle of no where you would be caught and finned a couple hundred bucks, and the closest decent atv park is 4 hrs and it has 10 miles of trails!
Id say u see some pretty nice places...u got the atvs to do it on specially that grizzly...and that kodiak may not go as fast and stuff but it is a great atv too...Keep the videos coming cant wait for more
We have nice countryside but the state wont let people cut down trees or make trails in ravines, so there's no trails because people dont want to mess with the state
***** Thanks very much, we appreciate it! Yes, not too creepy here..except for maybe the church. Yes, if only the walls could talk. Hope you enjoy the rest of our vids!
Hi cubeezx, happened to find your video of my stomping grounds, grew up on the Indian lake chain, and spent lots of time up at Mcintosh. Mcintosh was home to a residential school, which operated until 1965 I believe, when it burnt to the ground. The dam is there for the sole purpose of water level control for the lakes. As you can see, it was quite dry that year. The water can get flowing pretty good on the backside. Great video, cheers!
gd1 We took this one a few years ago...so much history! We stopped there briefly a couple of weeks ago while coming back from Kenora (the back way). Water was pretty low again. There is a monument there now on the school site. (We posted some pics on facebook). Thanks for checking out the video!
So cool, love exploring abandoned places.
Thanks for the tour
