We all change and adapt as we get older, 71 years old. I’ve recently go on 3K runs at 6am and catch the sunrise, it’s the best time of the day, especially now when it’s so hot during the day. I eat mostly oatmeal with fruit and nuts for breakfast too. His book sounds interesting👍

Dorn is adapting well to his circumstances and probably living a better life. Sounds like you are as well.

Thanks for sharing your story as I found it very interesting . Koh Chang is one of my favorite places as a twice a year visitor from the USA. It does sound like a good fit for you and what you’re looking for. I wish you the best of luck and good health. Get the book finished and share the title and info with Tom so that he can pass it on.

Thank you for the good wishes. Unfortunately since this interview a myocardial infarction - a doctor's way of saying heart attack - has kicked my ass around the block and is yet another hurdle tossed at my Octolife by Mess'rs Murphy and Bftztplk trying to slow my writing process. Screw "em both.

Thank You so much. I have several friends that are hockey addicts so to speak. Of course they watch it all on tv but some even play in a senior hockey league in Bangkok. facebook.com/rinktiiha/

The sports I enjoy most are😢 baseball and snooker. Hockey and golf take the back seat. At my age the usage of time necessitates reassignments of priorities. When half my age I enjoyed hockey a great deal. Gordie Howe used to play baseball on my dad's team. My sister used to babysit for Johnny Bower. I have enjoyed time with Eddie Shack. In high school I used to sit in a car with a friend at 30 below zero glued to the radio listening to NHL games. I regularly attended games of the Saskatoon Blades junior and the Quakers senior teams. Yeh, I miss those.

I understand only too well. It hasn't been a choice of mine but of theirs, salted with the jaundiced views of their mothers'. My natural son turned down offers to visit Canada, and had no interest in retaining his lucky dual citizenship. My adopted son has ears more receptive to feminine voices.

It actually says "Good heart (jai dee) but psycho". Unfortunately psycho - especially in the intended connotation - is not translatable into Thai, so the inscription maker used the word "loki" which didn't do so hot either. The cap blew off when I was on the ferry to Koh Chang and was leaning on the rail having a toke. This time I got a cap saying "Blue Jays - Bo & Vladi". They promptly went into the tank and the Jaysies have been in the American League East toilet since.

When I drink, which is seldom, I much prefer a good (or excellent) whisky, Scotch or Irish, no interest in Rye. I'm a joker and lifelong toker having been turned on initially in 1963 at USC by my English professor Willard Marsh, an award winning author.

If you turn onto Soi Photisarn where it deadends off Naklua it will bend right after a couple hundred meters and after a couple more you'll see one of the ubiquitous 7-11's on your left. Mama's is almost directly across from it. At the front will be a half dozen huge pots of food. Her Massaman Curry, a fave of mine, is available only on Tuesdays as she varies her daily menu.

It's interesting to how certain people have enough guts to say I'm fat in public. It's the one thing that I have heard all my life. I imagine most overweight people hear this as well. I also wonder if these people find it their mission to call out all overweight people? I also wonder if it makes you feel good? or do you think you’re making someone else feel good? or, Do you think you're giving friendly advice? Thanks for your input Amigo.

I appreciate your input. I noticed the sound quality was low during editing. We did the interview in a hotel room which created an echo effect in the specific room. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of it until we got into editing. It sounds pretty good if the volume is low but when the volume is turned up it's noticeable. Thanks again.
