    Andy vast knowledge & experiences are exactly the things I love to talk about. Andy has traveled all over the world, estimating 50 countries. How many countries have you visited?

    • @stanleykyle
      @stanleykyle ปีที่แล้ว +3

      50 is a decent amount. I have only hit 26 so far.. but 2 of those nobody wants to visit.. Iraq and Afghanistan.

      I count. Some I did visit more than 30 times, also for professional reason. I count 34 but must say that as a european, it is more likely that I travel around my country a lot than for people oversea. So 70% is about Europe, the rest Northern Africa, the Middle East, Asia and America. My favorite spots are: Greek islands, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and France (countryside). My question is: do people also know their own country? Also much depends how strong your passport is. Traveling visa-free helps a lot. Thankfully my wife did get our citizinship what made all travel much much easier. In the US, I liked New York a lot.

    When you RENT.....you will never lose your house.

    • @MargaritasinParadise

      You are absolutely right. With the rental prices being so cheap in the Pattaya area it seems that renting is a no-brainer.

      @Joker-2357 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But if u marry in my country & wife divorces u after 5 years , u have to pay her money for her rental if court got no house to give it to her
      Only way to not loose house is 1. Don’t do a live in 2. Don’t marry 3. No promise of marriage in future

    • @MargaritasinParadise
      @MargaritasinParadise  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s funny how marriage seems to harden, the heart for some. I have been on the road twice before myself. Fortunately, in Thailand, especially this area has many options to avoid that road in the future.

      When you rent you do not gain equity. I bought a run down detached property in North Wales at auction for £144,000 seven years ago. I renovated it with 30 grand and sold last year for £335,000. If I had rented during that 6 years I would not had made a penny.

    • @MargaritasinParadise
      @MargaritasinParadise  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great point. There's deal here as well for the right person. Rental prices are so attractive right now & most people don't have the drive to renovate.

    Good interview but Andy could live anywhere where there is Asian food that he could eat and make. Based on his routine and life style, I am not clear why he chose Pattaya. Probably has to do with the lady he found. She seems like a keeper. Doesn't go to bars and is happy to eat local, so low maintenance. Since Andy loves to cook, I wonder if she cooks at all. Another reason he chose Pattaya is that the cost of living is very affordable compared to England.
    Andy spent a year in the Philippines and found it boring and all the same. Hmmmm. Beg to disagree. Cebu is definitely different from Davao and Borocai, which is different from Ilo Ilo and Palawan.
    Andy probably left the Philippines because he did not like the food but is a gentleman and does not want to offend.

      I don’t believe any of this. Personally, I think there’s a lot of you tubers that are promoting sensationalism and making people get hyped up about nothing. This is exert from the original text,
      In short, it provides that any income from a foreign source derived by a Thai individual tax resident is subject to Thai personal income tax upon bringing it into Thailand. The interpretation change will apply to taxable income brought into Thailand from 1 January 2024 onwards.
      I think, it’s talking about Thai citizens (Thai individuals). Additionally, it’s talking about income not money from an investment account. And so on. Personally, I think people are reading into it.
