I did the van life for a while, had a 1985 Champion Transvan which is a lil class C motor-home, ran it all over Montana and Wyoming taking lots of photographs in Yellowstone and the Pryor Mountain wild horse refuge, then drove it down to Texas where my adventure abruptly ended when I blew the engine.
I wound up going back to Trucking for a few years until I bought a sailboat.
As fun as the van life was I much prefer sailing, I have a 42' sailboat now which has much more room than the van ever could, and it has a full kitchen, and 6'8" of headroom throughout!
That and the added perk of I can ride the wind to get where I am going! I really like that bit!

I live in Texas and we go to the next get stuck a lot . You dig the sand out behind the tires put that sucker in neutral and push .. the only thing that sucks is we have a second person inside to hit the breaks

I got my 95 G20 with 063,000 miles and a wheelchair lift also!! metallic green paint, no hightop tho. I have a kx125 2 stroke on the back of mine haha. We are so much alike
I installed a Hightop roof from pick n pull (100$) and painted it to match. Fyi oreillys sells color matching paint for chevy gmc vans :)
I also sold the dirtbike and bought a street bike for mine so I'm legal now on streets
What is cool about having an older van is that you are not worried about modifying and of it, so very easy to make it your place. Enjoying your channel.

Haha thats cool! l like your qwerky style of video. If you ever decide to fix the "cancer hole" use foam to fill it then fiber glass over the foam. You can premake the glass patch or use monofilm tape ( clear packing tape) if you decide to glass it in place. The tape gos over the glass and will make the surface glossy smooth after you remove the tape.
Next time the rust pokes through you could use a brush on rust inhibitor then you can paint over that. I’ve used it in the past and the rust hasn’t come back

just a heads up - your panels will continue to rust under the bedliner. Next time be sure to spray it with phosphoric acid (OSPHO) before you paint over it to stop the rusting process

A+ on everything but WTF with the duct tape repairs??? Buy a mig welder at Harbor Freight and patch the huge holes once and for all! May come in handy if something snaps off while on the road too.Excellent build Dude!
So i just bought a 95 G20 van paid a1,000 for it but it has well over 200 thousand miles on it needs work i can stand in it has 6 ft high roof . Hope your having a great time on the sail boat.

I've been in vanlife for a year and just found this video. Great personality! Our vans are very similar: I have a '92 GMC with the same windows, same sized roof cap (mine has skylights :) ), and same color tone (grey-brown). Subscribed! Keep it flowing :)

i thought i was the only one that drilled into my van! haha, i had the same g20. same color. different high top. drilled the awning straight into the fiber glass haha. just sold it sadly. glad yours is going strong!

I can understand people who are scared of drilling into their brand new sprinter vans but an old van like that I would drill to Swiss cheese
