Swimming is not allowed in the lake because there have many incidents of people drowning in the lake. The cold water can cause hypothermia resulting in drowning.
Hey brother thanks for your concern but Im a good swimmer and I have ice baths everyday so I'm good with cold. I LOVE THE COLD BROTHER. gives me an amazing burst of energy everyday. Mind over matter! If you can control your breath and mind you can expose your body to crazy cold conditions. Trust me I've done alot worst then this brother. Lots of ❤️

There is a beautiful tale about this lake and that's how it got its name.its said that a Prince from Egypt named sail ul malook travelled all the way to this lake because it was said that fairies come and and fly above the lake at night.the fairy badri something idk the full name was seen by him and he fell in love.she then was taken by monster or something lol.many people camp here to get the glimpse of the fairies 😆

If you have visited Sweden. There are amazing and wonderful lakes everywhere. So fascinating. You are right in Pakistan people don't know about that. 😁😀.
You should have hiked further up the valley (2 hours hike from this lake) to see another beautiful lake very high up in the mountains called Ansoo lake (tear lake) you were at Saif ul Malook which is 3224 meters above sea level while Tear Lake is 4245 metres
I know unfortunately time was against us as we had to drive back down :(

Naran wasn't so nice from our impression but we really enjoyed the rest of the trip!

The locals of the mountain said that the mountain was 4 highest in the world but is the highest in khagan valley

Lake Saugus Malook is interesting and beautiful but I agree thst if you have seen lake com and lake chiasso in Italy they are much more beeautiful ..however the dramatic mountains are quite unique in this lake for sure

hey i saw that tunnel 8 years ago it was melting at that time also i guess it get it's lost snow back in winter snow falls but it has become much thiner now it will not be around much longer because of all that human activity i wounder how it would have looked like when there was no human activity
18:00 these people don't have permanent residents as they usually move to warm side in winter and during summer they go there to do some business offering Horse Riding and Boats

Unfortunately not on this trip
when i was over there, i and a friend decided to walk to that mountan they called 4th highest (Malka Parbad) i want to hike at the base of that mountain and see it in person and we did it and we totally ignore the food, biryani etc. well my point was that what is point to travel that long and spend time eating Biryani or Pakora and don't enjoy the nature there but that cold water bath is something i would love to do but i think that's not for a Pakistani guy anyways enjoy
