Saiful Muluk (Urdu: جھیل سیف الملوک) is a mountainous lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley, near the town of Naran in the Saiful Muluk National Park. The lake is a source of the Kunhar river. At an elevation of 3,224 m (10,578 feet) above sea level, the lake is located above the tree line, and is one of the highest lakes in Pakistan

I was in class 5th(1975) when I had read about it in my urdu book. I used to read, enjoy n dream about this lake again n again. See the irony of fate that my son has been there with his class fellows but I couldn't, so for. Sounds as if I was born with heavy chain tied to my feet. I'm still very much optimistic but when I see so many people, vehicles n gathering, my heart whispers that Heaven of 1975 has become hell, over-loaded n gradually turning into a crowded city.

I remember when I was 8 years old so my family and I went to saif ul malook first time and the environment was too good and the place was clean. But last year when I went to this place so it was to dirty don't know why people throw their garbage at that's type of places. We need to keep clean our northern areas.

in my childhood, we went there back in 2002 the first time & there were no hotels, so we stayed in a rented tent but a thief came inside and my dad had to kick him out, it was sureal and scary but rest of experience was good, btw cute kid MAshaAllah and I hope u also visited a place called LAlaZaar, it's like a meadow ..I can't wait to go back to Pak to experience all these places and many more that I saw through ur lens:)....love from US
Now there is a big hotel on lake but now managment focusing on cleeanliness as wel.
