Which is great casting, although the original character was supposedly a master of Savate. Still, it works well for this movie.

TWS was a pretty big deal when it released. first mcu film from the russos and it completely reset the cap character with audiences. some of the best mcu fight choreo to this day as well

37:50 - Depending on the writer, Steve's strength level has ranged from him being able to lift, over his head, anywhere from 800lbs to 11 tons. He's plenty strong enough to survive that fall unscathed.
Captain America's "Power Level" is probably the most dynamic of all the MCU heroes. He can struggle against a normal fighter but then go toe to toe with a god tier enemy. You'll have to suspend your disbelief a bit in that regard.
I let a lot of that go because to assemble this much power from varying world structures; there are too many built-in inconsistencies to try and make it all make comprehensive sense.
On that particular issue. It is enough for me to think that Steve probably has a life long journey of recognizing his own full potential in small strides...all while still feeling like just a normal dude deep down inside

As others have mentioned, Community cast will pop up from time to time. What wasn’t mentioned is why - the Russo brothers, who directed this flick, as well as a number of the upcoming Marvel projects you have yet to watch, were directors and collaborators on Community. They directed several of the paintball episodes (among others) and became known for doing creative action on a budget.

One thing I love about this film is the way fury set the tone without even knowing it at the time telling the story of his grandfather not trusting people and that was the table setter for the film

I was really hoping someone would pick up Stargate: Universe to keep going after the "3 year sleep." SG:U was phenomenal.

Found some folks who crunched the numbers: using only period-appropriate tape reels, around 13gigs.
If he got an upgrade at any point it could be as much as 2gig per square inch of tape.
I checked out a book on memory awhile back (I believe it was called The Forgetting Machine) and apparently our brains store way less information than we like to believe. According to the book if you were to digitize the memory of a 70 year old adult it would be less than 100 megabytes. Our brains pretty much just save the things we think are significant at the time. That's why memory can be so unreliable, because our brains tend to just make details up when we are trying to remember something. At any rate, it makes the memory requirement for Zola's mind seem a bit more believable at least

There’s easily Gigs of storage. Yeah there’s a lot of tape, but there’s also a USB drive indicating modern additions. There must be solid state storage there as well.
On behalf of flyover states, don't dump Jersey in with us. The smell goes away pretty quickly and you can stop at a gas station on your way through without getting assaulted by a homeless guy.

Stargate was my very first cons. I went from 2000-2004. (Stop doing cons in 2019). My very first one i met Amanda Tappings and Chris Judge. I've also been on set and have a photo by the Stargate (the iris is cardboard type of material).
From what i remember each of Captain Americas list changed from country to country. I could be wrong on that it was a while ago.
We may be in the minority but I agree Stargate > Star Trek

You might like the show "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D". Its pretty good an ties in a few things from the movies but is, as far as i know, not directly connected to the movies.
This in my opinion is one of the best marvel movies made...all the action scenes especially the fight with app and bucky are top tier in any action movie

First of all Black Widow hadn't been charged with anything so she could leave at anytime. Second, Bucky had been his friend since childhood, always having his back. Bucky had been brainwashed. Not wanting to kill him is NOT weakness, it's loyalty and strength. The last thing Cap is is weak minded.

The part with the old woman that you seemed to confuse with an Alzheimer's episode his reuniting with his girl friend Peggy Carter for the first time in (for her) many decades. She is now an old woman due to her lack of being frozen like Steve while he is still in his prime, and they are both trying to deal with the rush of emotions. Not sure how you missed that. 🤔🤔
