As a fan of the MCU, I would highly recommend watching all the movies. If you decide to go that route, and rewatch from the beginning of the MCU, the best way to do it is in movie release order. Release order is the best way to understand what's going on because the plot of the MCU builds upon each movie that came before it and they all tie into one another as a connected universe.

It's definitely not the best way to watch it... In release order you have movies with characters that you already seen pass away, and which biggest plots you already know... That takes away any real reaction because you know how it ends.

Do the MCU in release order. It will make sense. Start at the beginning even though the iron man’s will be rewatched. iron Man 1, Incredible Hulk, iron man 2, (Thor would normally go here), Captain America 1, Avengers 1. At this point, you’ll see the advantages of watching in release order.
Whatever you do, DO NOT just decide to watch Thor 1, Thor 2, Thor 3 and then Thor 4, as that is skipping a bunch of other stuff and things from other movies would be spoiled. That’d be like skipping to episodes 3,7,14 and 19 in a 22 episode season of TV, then going back to watch the other MCU “episodes”

There are many elements of The Incredible Hulk that are connected to the rest of the MCU... and... at least up until the release of The Eternals it was also hands down the most underrated MCU movie. but... at least for starters... the film introduces the MCU version of Hulk (who, though played later by a different actor, is still a major character throughout the rest of the MCU), it introduces General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (who would have major roles in Captain America: Civil War and Black Widow, as well as cameos in numerous other films, and is set to be one of the primary protagonists of the Thunderbolts film currently scheduled for 2025), it introduces Emil Blonsky aka the Abomination (who shows up again in a prominent role in the She-Hulk Disney + series, in addition to having a cameo in Shang-Chi), and it introduces the character of Dr. Samuel Sterns (who will go on to become the Marvel villain The Leader, rumored to be the chief antagonist of the upcoming Captain America: New World Order). There is also, of course, a Stan Lee cameo, and a mid/post-credits scene that features Tony Stark which is referenced later in the series of Marvel One Shot shorts, and scenes from the film are also referenced in Marvel's What If...?
So... it's bizarre that people keep talking about this film as if it is somehow disconnected from the rest of MCU continuity. It's not. At all. Just because Universal still has distribution rights to the Hulk and it's not on Disney + in all territories doesn't mean anything. It's still very much an MCU film. Made by Marvel Studios. Produced by Kevin Feige. And a fine one, at that.

@@piotrswat169 the CGI for Marvel's 2008 offerings Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk was good enough for the time... and, though obviously not as sophisticated as what we see done these days, has held up pretty damn well IMO, given that these early films had significantly more modest budgets.

Loki and Thor are 1500 years old. Odin isn't a good guy he's a villain who does heroic things Odin's been a villain for millennia and got tired of it. Odin didn't have a heart that he fell into the Odin's sleep where he recharge his power he has to do this once a year and he was putting it off because of Thor's crowning to King status and possible war with the frost Giants. Thor with he's physical strength has the ability to lift the empire State building power level wise he could destroy the entire city of New York. Loki isn't as physically strong as Thor but equal in raw power. Physically Loki is at least twice Captain America strength but loki does have telekinesis which can lift a skyscraper. Loki half dozen of different powers including shape-shifting illusion projection matter manipulation and blinking Which if a form of teleportation but more limited.

It would be cool to see you watch - in order - up to the last Avengers movie: Avengers Endgame. The Incredible Hulk movie would be cool to see you react to as well. It didn't do too well in the box office if I'm remembering correctly, but I've always loved The Hulk as a hero in the Marvel universe and I think the version from 2008 was the best we got. There is one from 2003, I think the year was, that was fun and very comic booky but i didn't care for that ones story overall.

When it comes what order to watch them, release date order. When they came out. There are only a FEW movies that are take place in the past. But still, just do release date order. Especially since everything MCU is connected. Yes, every single movie, every tv show is important to watch and leads into the next movie/show. Also ALWAYS watch the end credits. There are usually a few scenes (sometimes during/after credits). Often giving you more story!
Think of the MCU as one SUPER long connected story, split off into many movies and tv shows. Thus never skip anything. Tough recently Marvel said some future TV shows will be "one offs" and not connected the MCU storyline. As in if you skip them, its ok. You won't see the people in them in other MCU stuff. I think they did this because there is SO much content that people were getting overwhelmed watching every single thing. Hundreds of hours of stuff.

I really enjoyed the reaction. I read Thor comics as a kid and I think they did a very good job bringing him to life. It could have gone very badly wrong (Thor speaks in cod-Shakespearean dialogue in the comics, has a cape, is a Norse God, flies around with a hammer called Mjiolner etc.) but they struck a good balance between drama and humour. BUT - I recommend watching the Marvel films in order, as they tie in together. Also - WATCH THE CREDITS TO THE END! -You missed a major plot point that ties in to The Avengers.

So this movie came out after Iron Man 2 (2010). The next Thor story told happens before the events that make up Thor 2 (2013). The next movie with Thor to be released was The Avengers (2012); a story involving among others Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and Captain America. Most people think the best way to appreciate these stories is in order of release. Equate it to chapters of a book to this really long story that takes a little over a decades worth of movies to tell. The last story is the movie End Game (2019). However I've always felt that the movie Black Widow (2021) is sort of a post scriptum. It depicts events that occurred before Infinity War (2018), however it was done almost as an afterthought. In truth it was used as a springboard platform for other franchise spinoffs, but regardless the story itself, the acting, the whole presentation is awesome and completes the set very nicely. If you choose to watch them all, the next one is Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). As per usual, I very much enjoy your work. Don't forget to check all Marvel movies for post credit scenes. They are generally quick teasers for characters and stories to come. Some films have more than one post credit scene so you always have to check so not to miss anything. Till the next one...

If you like his directing style, why not try his version of 'Murder On the Orient Express' from 2017? In my opinion it's not quite as good as the 1974 version but I still think it's a great film - especially if you don't know the story. Branagh brings a modern sensibility to a period piece - opinions vary on the wisdom of doing that.

Same with Ironman, Spiderman, Captain America and so on.. I would watch the marvel movies in order to not miss any of the stories then to watch all the Ironman in order then all the spiderman Movies in order. If you look up Marvel movies in order on the Internet there should be a list on how to watch them all. Its kinda lkke Starwars except you dont have to watch the 4th one first and crazy stuff like that. As long as you watch them in regular order as they were released then you should be fine.

You need to watch in the order they were released, starting with Iron Man from 2008, otherwise things won’t make sense later down the line.

That four days thing is why thor changing to become a better person makes no sense.
Also loki is basically Odin's son in the way of nurture. Odin is a plotting schemer, thor isn't he's more the bold part of odin. Both sons together equal odins personality

If you don't watch through until the end of the loki series... ima be sad. 😔😶😅 --- Seriously tho, it's a long road, but it's worth the trip.... hell, watch all 20 years' worth of marvel. It's got some 'eh' moments, but overall, it's worth the time. - plus, you get paid to do it. 😊

If you're only going to watch Thor, the second and fourth movies are a but weak but the third one is brilliant. Actually it'd be pretty fun if you only watched Thor and didn't try to be an mcu completion.

So i thought id make it a little easier for you if you are actually going to watch all the Marvel movies. ( id recommend watching the series aswell. there is alot of information lost if you just watch the movies and not the series as well)
Here is the list of how to watch them in order ( Series included )
    Phase One:
    Iron Man (2008)
    The Incredible Hulk (2008)
    Iron Man 2 (2010)
    Thor (2011)
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
    The Avengers (2012)
    Phase Two:
    Iron Man 3 (2013)
    Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
    Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

    Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
    Black Panther (2018)
    Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
    Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018)
    Captain Marvel (2019)
    Avengers: Endgame (2019)
    Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
    Disney+ Series:
WandaVision (2021) - best watched after "Avengers: Endgame"
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (2021) - best watched after "Avengers: Endgame"
Loki (2021) - best watched after "Avengers: Endgame"
Hawkeye (2021) - best watched after "Avengers: Endgame"
    Phase Four:
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
    Eternals (2021)
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) - best watched after "Loki"
Well buckle up because this is going to be a wild ride. I know looking at all of this can be a little overwhelming but trust me its worth it. i watched most of these movies more then once... And I wasn't even the biggest Marvel guy to begin with.. But iv grown to love most of these movies. So sit back relax. Get some snacks and enjoy the ride. Enjoy!

In mythology, the gods got a giant to build the walls but at a steep price. Right before the giant finished loki turned into a horse and dustracted the giants horse and they went iff to fuck.
In other words loki fucked a horse to let the asgardians get out of a contract on a technicality.
Yet no mcu movie has referenced that myth.
    Sigh.

Echoing the rest, if you're going to do the MCU, and I hope that you are, do them all, and do them in order of cinematic release, including Ironman and Black Panther as rewatches.
Also, google says the van is a modified Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer, a European military vehicle. It's a great looking thing isn't it, bags of character.

Question...do you think Loki was sincere at the end when he says "I could have done it...for all of us."? I don't think he was. His need to be "worthy" was more important than doing things for the good of the realm.

What? Odin changed Loki to look Asgardian. Loki wasn't born a shapeshifter and mindreader. He picked up the ability to look into other peoples minds later. Loki has spent over 1400 years learning magic from Frigga and others. If Loki absorbed Odin's memories he'd know everything Odin did and have all his powers.
