    I've said it many times before and I'll say it again: People become SovCits to protect their WRONGS and not their rights.
    Let's pretend that DimWit the SovCit DID buy this car from the person who stole the car. He's still 100% liable for purchasing stolen property. There's an old saying: "Let the Buyer Beware". If you're going to buy a car, you had better be sure its not stolen.

    • @jmr5125
      @jmr5125 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      This is true, but... Even a reasonably paranoid purchaser of a car from a private seller can be caught like this. Even assuming you have a car inspected by your own mechanic I'm not sure if the mechanic would automatically check all the VINs to ensure that they match unless you specifically asked them to do so. And there is no guarantee that a private seller will allow an independent inspection prior to purchase in any case, although that is a red flag in and of itself.
      Regardless, it *is* correct that possession of stolen property is a crime. Otherwise the legal owner would have no way to recover possession of their property after a "clean hands" transaction.
      Buyer beware definitely applies here.

    • @nathangray5147
      @nathangray5147 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree. Criminals also become SovCits to avoid their criminal behavior.

    • @jmr5125
      @jmr5125 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @nathangray5147 First, I suspect that "This is something that I need to do" simply wouldn't occur to most people, especially if a (apparently) legal title was presented.
      Secondly, a VIN lookup will only identify a car as stolen of you provide the correct VIN. As this video shows, thieves are clever enough to replace the more well known / accessible VINs with legitimate VINs. Few people would realize that just because one VIN is OK, you still need to look to see if other VINs match.
      To be clear, I'm not arguing that possession of stolen goods should be decriminalized, just that this is one of the easiest laws for an otherwise law abiding citizen to fall afoul of.

      It varies by region and even by department sometimes Some use the NATO code, some still use the old APCO code. I already knew NATO but had to learn APCO when I went to work for a department that still used it.

    Using sovereign citizen logic, he was perfectly rational. When you're convinced that you've discoved the secret cheat codes for the legal system, it's understandable to be in a bit of a hurry to try them out in court.😅

    These sovcits are mental cases yet a lot of them are very dangerous. A deputy and a game warden were shot and killed by 2 of these sovcits last year in northern Minnesota

    4:55 I don’t necessarily think they do or do not believe the veracity of sovcit principles-such as being a “foreign national, etc.”-but I think they genuinely believe this is a loophole in the language of law, as if they’re performing semantic judo on language that is intentionally crafted to prevent exactly that sort of nuttiness and ambiguity. It’s straight-up narcissism.
    Regardless, this mass delusion is weak and lame AF.

    I'll bet that first cop doesn't let anyone else go into their trunk and go through a bag without him looking first if at all possible. He could have so easily been shot I broke out in a sweat when they found that gun. Also, what has happened with your background? Your head is changing shape frequently and it not a good look...just sayin....

    If a different VIN was found on a door...its possible the door itself came from a stolen car that was chopped. Not saying thats what happened but it is possible. Atleast an attorney could maybe argue that in court. As to not matching other locations...that would be hard to explain.

    Guess the guy bought a stolen car. Then either he or someone "chopped" the car and then they put the car together with different stolen parts giving it 5 different Vin numbers. Imo though it's enough to give him years in prison for something he may be oblivious to.
