turtlesinabox No. Although you can always get some salt from all the people in the comment section. And Whitney, of course. I died over four times trying to beat that Miltank from hell.
I made this in 2010 with my crappy Movie Maker editing skills. The transitioning is kinda bad sometimes, it's just an audio clip I glued together. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that in all those years.
@@elstonngunn4193 yeah when I obtained the GB sounds I think holy mother of Jesus this is Supreme and I use to used all the time, I think HG/SS it's the last remake they made with ❤

@@snailegacy Yes, you are right, the 8-bit music in HGSS sounds slightly more different than the Game Boy version. Some of the instruments sound different and they miss some notes in the HGSS version of Goldenrod City! But it’s still passable.

Am I the only one who really wants a 3DS virtual console Gold and Silver port? Despite the fact that we already got HGSS, there's just something great about the older graphics.
It works really well thematically because the chiptune is basically a melody extension of "beep-boop" you hear a train station when an announcement is broadcasted or a train pulls in.
Gen 2 had the best music hands down. No other Pokemon game has came close to arranging such beautiful music. Even the fucking cave songs are amazing, Dark Cave is metal as fuck. The only game that kind of comes close is Pokemon Black and White, but some of the music in those games is bad. Fucking love this amazing game.
pokemon silver and gold are probably my most fav pokemon games ever... especially considering they were my first ones... wouldn't've been able to play them if it werent for mr. iwata...... you will always be remembered. thank you for everything, iwata

@@SuperYtc1 Hmm…you are joking, right? Nintendo today is more of a laughing stock than when Iwata was running things! Hardly any interesting games come out, maybe just a couple a year and that’s it! And they all look the same with no distinctive characteristics hardly! 😆 Or are you just a Nintendo hater? Oh, and Nintendo games hold your hand too much these days! They think we can’t think and figure it out ourselves so they load everything with tutorials and “Easy Mode” options to dumb everything down! They should just call it “Gen Z” or “Gen Alpha” mode! 😆

Mitch Korson Miltank can beat up Machop regardless of it being a fighting type. I had to evolve my Crocanaw into Feraligator to even come close to winning. (I was age 6 at the time)
DAMN YES! The first time one played a Pokémon game. It was all confusing. Then you discovered you can hit trees and make pokemon appear. It was just awesome.
This song has been bugging me for months. I was idly whistling it when I realised it was literally just Pachelbel's Canon. I couldn't for the life of me find out which song it was though. Mimikyu helped me find my answer.
Anyone notice how for music from, say, BW all the comments say "Aw, this is so EPIC!" Then when you come over here you get teary eyes and nostalgia and everyone relives their childhood?
@Aunpaidintern I can entirely agree with that. I love this music, and i want to feel happy listening to it, but in the pit of my stomach is the stirring of nostalgia. This truly was the peak of childhood.
I remember when I got HG, I went here after I got my GB Sounds (Or whatever it was called. hell, I use it all the time.) and I cried. It was like a tidal wave of nostalgia. Man, I loved this game.
I remember wen i 1got my gameboy and i bought pokemon silver from a garage sale and wen ever i would hear this song it relaxes me... but wen i hear this now it makes me so happy :) 3

I encountered an ice cream truck playing this theme once. Instant respect.

No way, that’s awesome. I would have definitely bought some ice cream
I would like to know your coordinates now

iFabianRS IT'S PERFECT
iFabianRS still its the best version of this song uploaded till this day.
+iFabianRS and the re-mix in heart gold is quite cool..:)
+1 yeah me too that malody still makes me cry for my childhood
+Jordan Harris You can't really compare anything to nostalgia.
20 year old man now, and just wish there was a time machine to go back to the bus ride home with a fresh copy of Pokemon Silver and a dim GBC screen
they had a time machine in pokemon gold and silver
I got to Goldenrod City in the game when I was in the car on my way to visit New York City for the first time.
Gen 2 bike theme is just this sped up.
Dragalge True dat true dat
Basically...
+Dragalge im having a fucking aneurysm from not having noticed this in sixteen years thanks
wrong
it's because you get it in goldenrod
5 people got rolled on by Miltank

absolutely true, it's just the music feels good and the graphics feel calmer,
Nope heart gold had GBA sounds so u cud listen to the original music it’s better in pretty much every way

remembering the simple life.
and yes it made me cry.
i love pokemon so much.
To be fair, whoever was in charge of the city design must've been on crack, the buildings are so randomly placed!
DoubleDJDave That's what I like about it :^) EDIT: Of course the music too.
+DoubleDJDave I think the buildings are in the shape of a Pokemon.
+Breloom 007 Which Pokemon?
SuperYtc1 Looks to me like a Clefairy.
+Breloom 007 Yeah, it's because whiteny's gym is normal type. Her whole gym is shaped like a clefairy.
Omfg! This song is so heart warming. Just brings back so many happy memories...sometimes I wonder why the present isnt this happy...
Definitely has a more memorable tune in the G/S/S versions than heart gold/soul silver. Still love soul silver.
You're right :)
God, this brings back memories. Nothing will ever beat Gold and Silver. The ultimate Pokemon games

try Snowbelle City's theme
Nostalgia!!!!
Sucks the HeartGold/SoulSilver sounds NOTHING like this amazing theme...
Personally I like both themes, HeartGold has more of a Quaint little city feel too it while G/S/C has more of a Bustling Metropolis feel to it.
Vertigo Visions what about if we slow down hg/ss bike theme..?
danny vivaldo I've.... never thought about it...
Thankfully we have gameboy sounds as a key item so we can use them over the new stuff.

+Kofi What a handsome pic from DAGASI ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I always wanted to live here
omg this is gonna make me cry. the good days. xc
😢
Hated miltank in the gym
didn't everyone hate it?
Next to the Champion/Red battle theme, this is my favorite song in the game ^^

it all started 15 years ago, it's been a long road :'(
One of the best songs Nintendo made
6 people didn't trade for the Machop ;)
same can be said with heracross.
More like "8 people couldn't beat Miltank".
Arxoan Nixtram That's the idea.
Mitch Korson Miltank can beat up Machop regardless of it being a fighting type. I had to evolve my Crocanaw into Feraligator to even come close to winning. (I was age 6 at the time)
1 person had an level 18 steelix
Goldenrod city at night time was the best feeling ever!
Damn. I feel nostalgic.
back in the good ol' days, WHEN THE SPECIAL PUNCHES WERE TMs!!!!
“Hey mom can I have some of that money I was saving”
“Sorry dearie I spent the last of it in repels”
“Fuck, I was saving that money for college”
DAMN YES!
The first time one played a Pokémon game. It was all confusing. Then you discovered you can hit trees and make pokemon appear.
It was just awesome.
GB Sounds was the best thing ever. I NEVER turned it off.
The best item in HG/SS..... GB sounds for here and the victory road alone.
Ecruteak City too!
Add to the list those were just my two favorites I spent a lot of time in goldenrod.
To be honest the gb sound doesn't give me the nostalgic feeling like when I get my game boy color and play it off of crystal
GB Sounds is the best item ever created in the Pokémon series. The guy who had the idea deserves one wish granted by Jirachi.
This song has been bugging me for months. I was idly whistling it when I realised it was literally just Pachelbel's Canon. I couldn't for the life of me find out which song it was though. Mimikyu helped me find my answer.
this song. made me happy
finally someone who noticed it too. i wondered about that for years
oh the amount of times i spent walking up and down this town to hatch my eevee eggs ^_^
I never even owned a Pokémon game when I was small, and yet here I am, somehow feeling nostalgic...
Gold was the first game I ever played and this song is a gamers dream just hearing the word gold brings memories to me
I never had the chance to play the older games, but for some reason this song makes me emotional.
That was probably me. You should be able to go into all the houses in this wonderful city!

Son of a blee blob my mind has so much nostalgia :,) good times and hopefully one day i relive this
Aaahhh... so nostalgic. This was the first legit game I owned. I really want to go out and get it again.
im like for real crying, the pokemon games made my childhood awesome! :')
I wish I grew up with Gen 2. It had this. But then again I did LOOOOOVE gen 5 more than any other gen I've played yet.
Waking up with this song. Pure awesomeness.
It will come out in the 3DS store this fall ! I'm so happy !
This is my favorite place and theme in all pokémon games I've played
I remember when I got HG, I went here after I got my GB Sounds (Or whatever it was called. hell, I use it all the time.) and I cried.
It was like a tidal wave of nostalgia.
Man, I loved this game.
I remember wen i 1got my gameboy and i bought pokemon silver from a garage sale and wen ever i would hear this song it relaxes me... but wen i hear this now it makes me so happy :) 3
I always thought about that back in my younger days!
Long ago, the 5 generations lived in harmony. Then. Everything changed when the 6th and 7th generation attacked.
I'm pretty sure they NEVER lived in harmony. Are you high?
Smooth Mcgroove please
I don't care if I started in Gen IV with the remakes… this is the best, simply put.
this makes me happy for many reasons. thanks!
FRICKING
MIMIKYUS
RAP
I knew it, I wasn't the the only one that catches that up.
The cries of Turkey are forever burned in my ears and shall echo through my mind for the rest of my days as long as this song exists
Never even played the old versions, but somehow I'm feeling nostalgic...
I really need to replay this game again...
This Theme Almost Made Me Cry. IT SOUNDS SO SAD!!!!!!!
This is nostalgia given form for me. Thank you.
I started playing Pokemon games when HG/SS came out and even then I prefer this version.
My favorite city in the whole game.
holy crap, it's actually bigger than i thought,
Freaking loved this city only for its music :3
chills and tears...
panda panda panda prrrrrraaaa
Set to 240p, then sit back and take a trip down memory lane.

Mimikyu's Song.
Damn, was this song heavily redone in HG/SS. Personally, I think the newer theme is more fitting, but this one's mellowness brings back memories.
the national anthem of my childhood :')
Set to 1.25 for the bicycle theme. Can't believe i didn't notice that for decades.
Also known as the slow version of the bicycle theme
Other way around.
i just love this theam i really have no words it makes me cry :')
Aghhhhhh I miss the s/g days
"LISTEN TO THIS" they said
"IT WILL BE AWESOME" they said....
now i cried.... of happiness :`)
0.0 omg...
HOW THE FUCK DID I MISS THAT ALL MY CHILDHOOD!?!?!?
i cried
What has been seen..cannot be unseen! >_o
Ah this makes me wish i was a kid again.
MY CHILDHOOD OH MY GOD
This makes me tear up :')
so peaceful
when i think of pokemon g/s/c i think of this city
Now put it on 1.5 or 2x speed and it becomes the bike theme
damn......i love this song takes me back to when i was young ='(
Miltank used rollout!
*TO BE CONTINUED*
JUST CANT STOP THE CRYING
This tune brings back nightmares of Miltank's Rollout murdering all of my Pokémon...
Gotta love the memories from childhood 💣💥 💣💥 💣
He said seeing! ..He said it twice for everyone to understand
left, down, right, down, left, down, right, down, left, down, right, down, left, down, right, down...

beautiful music for home :)
Idk why but whenever I hear 8 bit music I automatically get a hanker for ice cream.
