As a British guy with an American fiancée From Mississippi, I got taken to a Basspro Shops And was told its really good for fishing, I said "do i look like i fish to you?" I now love that shop, and fish and. Its hard to get me out of there. I have plans to go fishing with her granddad at there beautiful lake house.
The biggest one Is in Tennessee it's a pyramid!!!!

I feel like this woman never left the house in the uk. Uk supermarkets have Delis, Pharmacies, Bakery’s, Clothing, homeware, hardware electronics plus more. Granted probably not as large in scale or selection but this woman acts like we’re still shopping off a market stall exchanging rations or something
I have workded for Walmart for almost 5 years at one of their MANY distribution centers. It is Walmart's aim to have something for EVERYONE and since they buy is masive bulk they pass the savings on their customers. Walmart pays well and has some pretty good benefits for their associates.

You only went to the front part of the store. There is a car service center, you can buy tires/tyres, clothes, get some tools for the garage, house paint and in some stores, guns and ammo.
I wish you and yours well living in the US, just don't fall ill.
It's so fancy to call a Walmart shopping cart a 'trolley' lol. I know that's what they're called in the UK but still. They are hard to push because filthy hairs and other garbage collects where the wheels spin and no one at Walmart EVER cleans them! You can tell which carts are older because the wheels don't turn at all.
Please also watch out for all the millions of E numbers in American food.🤮

A town near me has a Super Walmart right next to a newer Menard's. You can get 98% of what you need to live your life in those two stores.
Thats the worst part. They’ve decimated all independent mom and pop shops.

I noticed something about nearly every video I have seen where someone visits a Walmart for the first time. They always seem to go to the front section first (cold/frozen/bread/cakes). It made me realize there is kind of an unspoken rule to always go to the back of the store (or non food shopping) first then work your way forward. Also made me wonder how many people don't do that. I couldn't find anything in a lazy google search.

You're staying in a hotel that doesn't have a microwave--- but, it has a refrigerator? That's strange! You should've gotten an efficiency; there are hotels, that have those.

America is definitely a shopper's paradise. Everything else not so special.
You’re just so wrong. First of all, along with the endless amount of products at your fingertips, the service you receive from workers paid to provide it is miles above the service (or lack thereof) you receive in Europe. Secondly, the U.S. can’t be beat when it comes to outdoor landscapes due to the sheer enormous variety of said landscapes it has to offer. There are many more things I can enumerate about what makes the US special but I’ll just tie the “Walmart experience” and what I mentioned about the landscapes. Everything in this country is bigger, more spacious, and with more variety in comparison to pretty much any other country in the world.

Walmart is a mass merchandiser, not a supermarket. Publix would be a supermarket. The next level up from Walmart would be Sam's Club or Costco, member-only stores that sell wholesale quantities to the retail market. So, they will accommodate your needs if you have a large family or like to buy in bulk quantities.

I did notice that you two bought a lot of the cheaper "Store Brand" items. It's actually a good way to save money on things...
Tip on American fruit from grocery store. Buy several apples and after you get home place several apples in a bag with fruit that needs more ripening. You will find much of the fruit is not completely ripe. The apples emit a gas called ethylene that rippen other produce. Peaches are notorious. The plastic bags work best.
Girl eat organic if you can, here in the US disgusting ingredients are legal. When I was in London I loved the food in the UK because it was REAL food and many bad ingredients are banned in the uk which I loved.
I have tell you about American highly processed foods, even bakery produced items. Soybean oil, soyflour, and soy lecithin are in like 90% of all of our off-the-shelf foods. There are also a number of substances that are permitted in American food items that are outright banned by many countries in Europe.
Europeans often come to live in the United States and then they get fat - eating the same things that they did in Europe. Then they return to Europe and continue to eat the same things but rather quickly lose the extra fat.
So I would be careful about our off-the-shelf products.
A lot of people will disagree with me but American junk foods like "snack" cakes or any high sugar food are rather addictive. The German guy says he could that box in a day but before I went on the carnivore diet (which repaired my satiety hormones) I could go through one of those boxes of cookies in an hour.
At 5'9 weighing 284 lbs and dropping down to 213 in 8 months I can tell you that these baked goods are a major source of fat accumulation.
Hey Ella, I admire your resilience and not getting too overwhelmed in Walmart. Your shopping cart was filled with items you needed instead of what you wanted. This is why I let my girlfriend take the lead when we go to Walmart.

I moved from Dallas to Bangkok and I really miss WalMart. Dallas is a 'melting pot' city so they have foods from all over the world available.
Next time go to the Wal Mart supper center at 3:00 am in the morning
Then go to the self check out line
Walk around the place in pajamas and slippers
and get the real American experience
In an attempt to understand the female mind-set of Walmart. It MUST be how us men feel about Rural King when we're there. Tools, hunting gear, fishing gear, men's clothes that don't look feminized. Real stuff for decent prices.
You should have purchased the candy bar "Almond Joy". It is primarily coconut covered in chocolate with a couple of almonds on top.

I was surprised that you didn’t decide to just walk around the entire store before starting to purchase. I will go with a list of things that I need because it is so easy to become distracted by all of the rest.

I had a friend that worked in a Walmart for some years and i always heard crazy storys. like people returning old meat in there handbag and no wrapper, or someone randomly screaming at the top of there lungs in the bathroom, was some of the tame ones i was told. So because of that i was always interested about Walmart and its craziness that its always been associated with. when i went over there things were pretty normal and it was a good shop.

In America, we don't considered walmarts bakery goods are good to eat. You guys in Europe love Walmart, then you would pass out if you ever go to Vietnam. You don't know what fresh fruits and vegetables are until to go to Vietnam.

Yup, I enjoy shopping at Supercenter #1 (store 172), where the empire began. It may just look like another Supercenter, but it's a historic place at the same time.
No-one can tell you now they don't have kettles in the US. They actually sell them everywhere.
