This song came out the summer that my Mom passed away, and the lyrics "there is no end to love" made me think of her. Still does. I love this song dearly.
Rebecca George I’m so sorry for your loss I hope ur mom is in a better place god bless love this song I lost my two best friends in a matter of a month and I found this song and it really made me feel better
Rebecca George, I am extremely sorry for your loss, hope your mother is in a happier place above the children of god, I am glad this song cures your sadness
this was the only album my dad had on his phone because one day it was downloaded on every iPhone for free We still listen to it sometimes and it feels very nostalgic for some reason
Was I the only one that had this song in their iPhone randomly like literally this was in my phone when I got it and I’m not mad they’re pretty good songs
same XD I thought it belonged to my dad I think it’s a glitch on a popular app but idk I was legit playing minecraft and I showed my sis and we told my dad and he was just like whaaat
I'm going getting married to a girl in California just waiting for the borders to open. We know each other years back and fourth between Ireland and the u.s. . broke up with my ex 3 months ago but think I've always loved this girl. I'm going to fly to Serbia 14 day quarantine then straight to Cali. Craziest thing of my life never heard this song until recently. Wish me fucking luck
Native Central Californian who's lived in Monterey and San Francisco and climbed many mountains, walls, romped through wilderness, beaches, lifelong, and my boys (since 1983) now giving me a brisk glorious slap in the face about my state and love and something I can't describe but it hits home and heart….there is no end to love ❤️
I just played it because I'm coming out to see my husband for the first time in weeks after he went to rehab for 4 weeks and we got separated by an ocean in that time, but I can't wait. I'll see you soon babe x
So I used to have a tablet connected to my brothers iCloud he downloaded this song and I instantly liked the song and would listen to it on my way to my uncle's who lived in Fresno while I lived in the san Fernando valley. It gives me nostalgia knowing I would listen to this while I look out to the country side and all the green grass. Rest in peace Tio
It’s the fact I unintentionally got into U2 when I was little cause it was downloaded onto every iPhone for free. You best believe that’s why I have a rock obsession now LETS GO CALIFORNIA
It's songs like this we need in these dark times. Because over all other things, what we Humans have is love. Love for self, love for those around us, love for our countries, love for this world
Damn this takes me back. The only songs I had on my iPhone one season in the Bearing Sea. Reminds me of being in my bunk at 5 am trying to catch a couple hours of sleep, thinking about my son and think about all the things I could and should have done differently with his mother. All the feels.
I love this song. It's so uplifting. I'm going through some hard times. Things seem... uncertain, but hearing that "there is no end to love" provides some relief. It really feels like that's all I need to know right now.
This song breaks me into tears almost every single time I listen to it since the lauch of Songs Of Innocence. There is no end to grief and no end to love...indeed!
New Yorker 30 winters. I flew to SF Bay Area first time for pleasure. I was supposed to be there 3 months tops and end up staying 2 years. I’m moving back there permanently in December. When I fly over there I listen to U2 California all the time. Amazing song.
Heard this album for the first time during vacations in Toronto, 2015, driving the rental car, my Iphone connected to the car audio system, all of a sudden, this album started playing, I couldn't believe I had one of their best albums on my phone for free. Every time I listen to either of their wonderful songs of this album on my phone, brings back memories of Toronto HE! And I"m fro Cali, love my state.
In the seventh grade my dad played a bunch of music driving me to school. A lot of U2, Radiohead, and The National. That mostly stopped in the eighth grade because I got a carpool, but I met some cool dudes that way so I won’t complain.
Was a 4 year old.Had the iPad 3. Playing a football game. Randomly discovered music. Found a U2 album. Listened to each song thoroughly. California. Raised by wolves. Volcano. Etc.. these were memories. I love u2. I'm 14 now. 10 years passed and I'm still listening to this🫡
I first heard this song on the first day of the California camp fires, during this whole ordeal which is still only 4th contained. I have been meditating on it, believing all these fires will just stop. Please never stop singing for California we need you all right now so many missing and way to many deaths & fires this year. I live in Lodi right next to Sacramento which is so,close a hour away from the devastating fires. Love you guys thanks for this beautiful hopeful song. Your the best band in the world XO 8
I was at Griffith Observatory in LA on a cold December night i plugged in my headphones i looked at the view of the city from 0:10-0:37 that gave me chills just mesmerizing.
It’s a great album . I have it since 2014 maybe or more … I never delete it from my I phone 6 Till now I hear it, in my iPhone 11, iPad Air 2, and in my MacBook pro
That song was my alarm melody & motto for nearly one year. It all started back in 2016, during the times when I was resting in Vietnam preparing for a technical interview with a Google project. Even before that. It was still there after my relocation to SF Bay Area. Just to be replaced by Blink-182 - California :)
crazy..just read your reply. We had this video be our inspiration to get to the SF Bay area. We are relocating there in 11 days and working as well in tech. Just thought you story was just as amazing!
Wow. I can't believe they're still making such beautiful music. I see the bridge and remember the times I swam across that span (organized open-water swim races). Everyone was head-down, churning, pumping, slamming as hard as they could. I decided to flip over and backstroke. I thought "I may never be here again." I let out a huge howl: "Awhooooo!!!!!" and people followed me and did the same. A bunch of us in the front third of the swim backstroked under the bridge, howling and loving life. When I wait in line to pay for my tortillas and beans in Mexico, I was sad looking at the carts full of steak and hamburgers in front of me. I remember when I was hungry as a little kid. Everything goes full circle. Hungry then, hungry now. I remember I had my day in the sun. I do wish I had the money for cat treats. My little cat buddies are a blessing. Stay real, folks.
This song was in the app called “Music” in my iPad Pro and it randomly started. Somehow this song sounded good, so I searched this song on TH-cam today and found this video. This is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard of. Sounded like Christmas song to me :)
Went on vacation to Europe in 2019.. all I listened to was this song on the long fights and train rides. Re-visiting it a few years later feels so nostalgic
Man I remember bringing my iPad whenever I go to the resort where my Grandma’s working. My grandpa would drive us there and I would always come along. I’d always sit in the back of the Van and listening to U2 album in my iPad because it was for free and it was the only album I had on my iPad. But I din’t mind because I would always keep repeating the songs like 10000 times a day. Rest In Peace Grandpa, I miss you and ily 😢😭❤️.
Everytime my dad would connect his phone to the car radio this would be the first thing to pop up, just like a default song or something. Made and created a lot of memories for sure.
I'm into cinematography and I really want to do a video with this song. I love how this video starts off. Heard this song for the first time on a co-workers phone. I love U2.
I grew up slightly south of Santa Barbara, and while coastal California is beautiful by nature, it has been made into somewhere that is difficult to stay. Everyone flocks here with big dreams and desire for endless sunny days without realizing that it's an exhausting, and quite dirty, cramped place to be. I find the most peaceful areas are always more inland, off in the mountains. I love it here, but I often wonder if it's because I've been here all my life. There is no peace.
Omg, omg. Busque esta canción por añooooos!! No puedo creer que haya pasado tantos años y en mi memoria recordaba tan solo la melodía ❤❤❤. Omg lo encontré al fin :D
The year is 2014 and you just got the iPhone 6 last month. You just overpaid for a new Bluetooth Speaker with 3.5 hours of battery life. Through some miracle, you finally got it to pair with your phone. As you look for that custom fire playlist, this song autoplays.
Back then when my dad used to turn on the car and his phone connected to it, it would play this song and it would show the album cover. He would always make a mad dash to take it off because he didn’t want me to see the picture. I only knew the first part due to that so it’s great to finally hear it in its full glory.
I always wear earbuds when listening to this band, my guilty pleasure of music. I am always listening to heavy metal amd hard rock, but this band has some great songs. Can't be seen listening to something soft.
Same I would feel like I had to explain myself to my friends like this came with my phone..... because getting in the car it would switch to Bluetooth and start playing and they would look at me like “U2 huh.... that’s cool.... I mean you know I’m not gonna judge.”

I know this song is about California, but believe me, it’s actually quite motivational. The rhythm of this song is amazing.
Agreed
Yup my friend...
I moved from Cali and this song was one of the only things that made me not want to leave 😭
I love the beginning how it starts. It's moving. I first heard it on a co-workers phone and asked her what it was. I'm a photographer.
