    Amazing !! I’m recovering with the TMS approach. I listen to Dan every day, do Rebecca’s somatic work and also Jim Prusack . Dan is who brought TMS to my attention too and I went all in with 100% belief. I too use visualisation and affirmations in addition to TMS / safety work ❤ I’m not broken! I’m not sick ! I love this recovery story - it’s my journey!! I’m 80% currently. Once that mindset shifts - it’s upwards ( slowly but it happens ) x

      Hi! YES I had many set backs, it is hard to describe a multiple year journey in less than 30 minutes. I realize I talk very calmly because that is my nature. But it was very hard. It took me a long time to convince my brain that I was not broken and safe. There were many many days where I felt alone and awful and like I was crazy and many many doubts. You just have to trust and keep going! You are on the right track! You CAN heal. Show yourself a lot of compassion and love. Some do, some don't. The most important thing is: helps this to bring you into a relaxed state? If it does, go for it. If it adds to your stress, you can look for another approach. The point of any approach is to help your nervous system to calm down and help your system to feel safe and gain trust in the body again.

    • @instant_mint

      Tension myositis... something? Sorry I don't remember what it stands for but it's essentially synonymous with "mind body condition". So not the same "TMS" as the magnetic treatment thing.

    • @alishabraswell-x2v
      @alishabraswell-x2v 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Dr. Sarno coined the phrase TMS in the 90s which stands for Tension Myositis Syndrome, but I like to call it along with many others people, The Mind Solution!
      It essentially means that the brain creates sensations in the body though the nervous system because it is experiencing fear. So it is used as a Mind Body approach to healing chronic pain or chronic illness.

      @masha1414k
      The late Dr. John Sarno coined the term TMS, or Tension Myositis Syndrome. He describes certain chronic symptoms as coming from a mind-body process, essentially the way that emotional stress affects the brain and causes physical symptoms. He was a true pioneer! His work helped me recover from 13 years of ME/CFS. I recommend his book The Mind-Body Prescription!

      @@masha1414k Great question! Sadly, I didn't find mind-body healing for 13 years. I tried to treat my symptoms with things like supplements, diets and medications, which never helped. Once I found this particular branch of mind-body healing, I had a lightbulb moment and ran around the block! But then I needed to work with the practices to retrain my brain, feel my emotions and reconnect with my body in a safe way (over a period of months). Raelan interviewed me twice on this channel and I have a YT channel with my story, if you're interested!❤

    Really appreciate the recovery story ❤
    I would really like to know how to deal with the fear of reinfection 🙏 I've heard that the more times you get covid, the worse long covid can get... So I fear meeting people or going to the store etc, which with the fatigue I can not do much but if I'm going to get better and return to normal life those are things I will be faced with.
    I feel extremely isolated because it's like I must stay away from public spaces and people for like... forever? if I don't wanna get an even worse chronic thing? That's a very depressing prospect 😢 Can someone please advise?

    • @alishabraswell-x2v
      @alishabraswell-x2v 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I had this same fear for a while, I totally understand where you are coming from! However I am grateful that I do not fear this anymore because I feel that now that I know all of the information that I know and that I healed through mind body work I totally trust my body and I know this will not happen again. Which is pretty amazing to say after being sick for 3 years! I believe if I got sick with Covid again it would not become chronic. Knowing that many people get any virus and heal like "regular" is proof that the body is able to heal. I hope this helps! Please reach out if you would like more support.

      I believe I still have Lyme in me yes, but it does not affect me anymore. And yes likely there is still mold in my home and in me, where I live it is nearly impossible to not have some. And heavy metals etc I probably still have also! I think that is a part of living in our world today. So yes I did not get rid of everything that I was suppose to detox, and am still healed now.

    • @AlishaBraswell

      TMS stands for Tension Myositis Syndrome which was a term coined by Dr. Sarno. Some people refer to it today as The Mind Solution.
      It is a mind body approach that teaches your brain you are safe which helps to lesson symptoms.
