Speaking for the minority of ppl that played NCAA 14 for 10+ years and will DEFINITELY get to a point where we will take EVERY SINGLE advantage we can. Outside of learning how to play and building a dynasty, perfecting your recruiting and coaching are the only things left. Won’t take long to do any of these really so imo it would be worth it to go ahead and provide an exhaustive video. Maybe when they announce the next game you make a series of videos with everything you learned. Showing everything. That way we will have the perfect video and if anything stays the same we won’t have to look for another resource.

@FendlerYT this would benefit a bunch of people. I've watched all the videos so far but the way my other coaches seem to upgrade doesn't give me many double discounts. A total of roughly 71 points spent out of the hundred needed to unlock CEO when I take a HC job
Massive respect for doing that grind. The most I have do was i started as a DC at San Jose State because there HC I can get Motivator and Tactician for free saving me 10 points. Then to my amazing luck after 4 or 5 seasons the Georgia DC spot open so was able to take advantage of that HC CEO ability for a couple seasons till leaving for a HC job myself to buy the discount bundle and save more points. Honestly the only reason why I went through the trouble because I’m a fan of doing slow sim dynasties and wanted as much as an advantage I could get.
This is like a reverse Nick Saban coaching rehab school, lol. Instead of bringing in guys and letting their talents shine for a year (while you benefit from them) and releasing them to go back on to better things you’re bringing guys in and drinking them dry and kicking them to the curb.

Haven't tried, but supposedly if you take a job as a coordinator, all the points you spent in CEO will get refunded. If true, you could take an OC or DC job for a year or two and either use the refunded points in one of the base groups, or save them for your next HC job and buy another skill in CEO since you won't need the discount skill anymore.
Good stuff! One suggestion for improvement I've seen you could use is if you take a coordinator job since you have all the discounts you want you get the points back from bundle discount and use them on senior superlative. In my experience senior superlative is better than limitless because its guaranteed and all skills vs a chance at 1 skill cap being removed.

One thing I have noticed is it’s easier to fill out the base tiers at 3 coaching points by hiring lower-level coaches who are going to gain XP quickly over 1-2 seasons. If I hire a Level 17 recruiter, he’s not going to give me an immediate boost, but he’s going to gain a lot of coaching points, and he will spend almost all of it in recruiting. Contrast that with a Level 30 coach who is already an elite recruiter - he might not be filled out in the lower recruiting tiers, and he’s also not gonna be spending his points there.

I followed the guide, once I left UG, I took a mid HC job. I cycled through OCs//DCs, once I got all the level ups,I went back to being a OC. Took my points back from the CEO perk and used them else where. Then I went to my final HC job (LSU) and I’ve begun the process of achieving that illustrious 99 overall roster 💪🏾
I’m working on something completely different. But I’ve learned a few things. Easiest way to find an architect is to go under stats tab, go to coach stats. Here you can see all the head coaches in the game and their archetype. From here you can focus on the ones you want. You still need to go look at them and check pipeline bc you can’t hire them if their pipeline isn’t helpful to your program. That why you had so much trouble getting one to pop up to hire.
Pipeline has nothing to do with coaches hitting the carousel. We found the best way to do it lol. We are bypassing pipeline completely so it actually doesn’t matter at all where they’re from

You didn’t understand what I said I’m trying to help your success rate for the coaches you want hitting your carousel when you to hire them. You can’t bypass the computer selection of the coaches based on their pipeline. I’m creating multiple coaches, to hire my assistant coaches. And the coaches pipeline has a lot of influence on whether you can hire them or not. Just trying to simplify the randomness for you.

I found that I could force losses on cpu teams the other day. Oregon had stolen three 5-stars from me the previous season (2 of which were elite dev), and I'd had enough. Let's just say they've been through 2 coaches in 2 years there now, and they'll probably need a new one next year as well lol.
@FendlerYT With every team I've rebuilt lol. North Texas, Georgia Southern, even Temple, but UCLA was the final straw 🤣🤣🤣. They didn't even have pipeline advantage on the guys and I didn't mess up. The game just stole them. Oregon is a menace in that game.
Another way to look for Architect head coachs is the coaching stats page. Just a thought if anyone else was going to attempt this! Great video though! Hope this coach can get you the 99 overall squad!👍
The only way to make it better is when you max it out. You can literally change from head coach to coordinator again. And refund the 48 points you spent to unlock ceo and bundle discount. The game refunds the points when you switch back. Then if you don’t spend them, you can do program builder or back to the increased recruit chance. Or just max out something else just some food for thought
@@FendlerYT my thought process is you got to the end spending all the points and 0 out the board so for you. As the head coach the bundle is worthless unless the coordinators go down the same build paths. Just rebuy the the ceo after the year of a coordinator, buy the round 1 draft guys don’t leave and then just use remaining 18 points on something else in the ceo tree like the persuasion or something. Might not be worth it but may be an interesting thing to try
So after your first video, I tried this to further your words at the time due to the true savings projected. My god that grind was brutal but the coach is so OP. Only difference I would argue for a “99 build” would be sr superlative is better than delay Sunday. End up with a lot of RS Sr types than Caleb Williams

Hey all I have a quick question. When you check a player card in dynasty, down in the bottom left hand corner there’s 2 icons I’ve seen down there that I have no clue as to what they are. Sometimes there’s a black plus sign ➕, Sometimes there’s a white circle with 2 arrows facing opposite ways and a line through it 🚫. Or there’s just nothing down there and it’s blank. Any idea what these could be? I’ve searched online and found no answers yet
Found out that the plus sign is the captain badge for multiple years. After one year the white circle with an exclamation disappears from the top left and a black plus sign appears in the bottom left
Idk if tact is worth it you might be better only putting enough in it to get Arch open. Also I think motiv with arch and maybe talent dev might be the best mesh. Obviously recruiter will be on any build
W but you won't be able to take advantage until you get CEO unlocked. And keep in mind this is like 10 years in the future so everyone is different lol
There might be a slightly easier process for hiring the coordinators than what is shown in this video. I’ve been working on a process of changing job offers in the coach carousel, it’s a tedious process but it involves creating a new character in the members screen and playing as them. Most coaches get other job offers each year if something is available. The idea is to make it so that week 2 of the coaching carousel the job you want is available by having the current coach take a new job and selecting all possible candidates for the job and moving them to new jobs. I was able to successfully go from getting the same 4 offers both weeks to shifting the 2nd week to the school that I wanted to go to. Keep in mind the 2nd week is what is important, because the first week openings you have no control over. Essentially using this process you could likely get whatever coordinators you want as well by force losing, getting them fired, select them before the coaching carousel then just not allowing them to take a job week 1 and 2, then retiring without creating a new character which still leaves them on their position. Its also possible if the other coaches that show up in your hiring screen are from other teams you could select them before the hire staff screen is available preventing them from showing up on your list since 2 users can’t be at on school.
@@FendlerYT Im not sure it is overkill. What if you started at Ole Miss and got the two skill trees added for 0 points. Make a 2nd dynasty user as Georgia and maybe another on North Carolina as head coaches. Upgrade what you want on these other users. At the conclusion of year 2 at Ole Miss have the Georgia Coach fire one of the coordinators and then retire. Try and get the job with the main user and add skills you upgraded possibly for yourself?
I don’t wanna be “that guy” on the TH-cam comment section, this is a really awesome video. However, with my ECU rebuild squad where I didn’t put nearly as much effort as you did into the skill tree etc I peaked at a 97 ovr. I’m like 22 seasons in or something like that and I hit a 97 ovr sooooo idk if it’s even worth the effort to get a 99 or if it’s even possible lol. I was already man handling 99% of my opponents with a 15+ ovr advantage so I truly don’t see much of a difference between my build and yours. I’m sure you’re gonna get the 99 ovr team, but I don’t think it’s worth the hours and effort you put into this project. In my opinion of course 👍
I'm not sure where your save point is before a reload, but I think the game loads your choices before your season ends. Whenever I've done something like this, saving around week 10/11 has almost always gotten me 2 or 3 new choices, but maybe I'm just convincing myself lol
Gave up on getting double Architect and then that year, my DC decided he was going to buy that tree out at the end of the season. I'll take slightly below perfect at this point.

Did u stay at Georgia until u spent 100 points and got all the double discounts for recruiting? My georgia coaches dont seem to be buying nothing for me towards discounts lol
You can get to the eighteen you need for another ceo ability by waiting longer at Georgia to get a new dc and not get the single discount or switching to another oc position with bundle discount. If you can't do that try going Georgia DC and see if you can get more initial double discounts
but the HC never develops so you'll never pop for any more double discounts. you can get single discount spend to 100 so that's not necessary to do, you still can't get 18
anyone had any issues having the 100 spent before leaving Georgia? the starting guys aren't picking up enough lower tier upgrades that I can piggyback on before they're hitting their lvl 50 cap. One attempt was 75 pts spent, and another was 98 spent.
Unlocking branches counts towards that 100 as well. Some skills you’ll need to take at a single discount before leaving, but not many. Think I got out at 101 specifically

Double checking I've bought everything possible that the starting CEO HC unlocks, all of the branch unlocks and it was 98 - looks like I'll be out at 102. First attempt I wasn't sharp enough of taking the starting DCs bonuses before he was replaced.
to gain more points you can start off as the Georgia hc and upgrade his faster progression to max which will make the archetypes cheaper if both coaches have the archetype its free for first tier and second tier will be 5 when you go to purchase once you do unlock you can go to retire create new coach and make a oc and continue the process as normal thanks for the content

If so, can you tell me what coaching boost you purchased and where you added them before starting this method? I got an OC coordinator with Georgia now. I've won the championship twice already and I purchased the recruiting coaching abilities at 4 per for all except the kicking position. So, I’m wondering if should start over to do this method in the video or am I good to continue with my current coach? Meaning, going to another school as a head coach and hiring the coaches that have the same architypes so i can get the double discounted points in the groups i want.

I just feel like putting anything towards tactician is a massive waste besides whatever is required to get architect. Also tier 1 from motivator is huge if you can get 1 guy drafted in the first 3 rounds it then stacks if you have 2 WRs get drafted in the top 3 rounds. Then that stacks with the offseason training boost you get from T3.
I started an OC recruiter/motivator at Liberty. After the first season, signed as the HC of UAB. I hired coordinators that were mainly motivators with recruiting. The idea behind it is the recruiting helps in positions I’m not upgraded in and in the offseason hoping it boosts progression to make players better. Haven’t reached the 2nd offseason yet so not sure how my decision has panned out yet
Hey dude. What are your thoughts on master motivator? I’ve seen a lot of people say that the regular motivator boost doesn’t work. I’m torn between using my coins on master motivator or architect.
I made a excel spreadsheet to calculate what is the total number of points possible with both 1 and 2 point discounts. I think with everything at 2 point discounts you can have ~25% extra
@@FendlerYT yes but its only a 25% discount for 8 pt abilities and a 16% discount for a 12 point. so you can have an overall higher theoretical point amount if you only choose 5 pt abilities if that makes sense.

Found a better way to get your perfect staff. You do have to find the appropriate coach you are looking for. But then make a new member in your dynasty with the head coach of that team. Then fire the coach you are wanting to hire. Then switch back to your God coach. And you can increase your odds of getting the specific coach you want.
I’ve been messing around in the game and it seems like you can have multiple coaches at the same time but on different teams, might be worth looking into a little bit more
@@FendlerYTThey Do Not reset if you use an existing coach only created coaches reset. I have 25 coaches in my league. i farmed every trait and skill i needed.
I literally have been doing the same thing all week, only difference is i farmed multiple boost coachs and OC/DC coordinators at the same time. I had like 25 members in my league just to boost staff to get the traits I needed. When you are ready you can just fire them and rehire them on the team you need them. I ended up boosting a head coach to boost my coach I did not use GA team as the head coach has too many wasted points Actually farmed up the East Carolina head coach he has the fewest wasted points of all head coaches, I made a database of every staff member for every team and all of their skill point allocations so I didn't have alot of wasted points. The boosted coordinators save you the time of trying to get Lucky with finding them in the hiring pool, just make your own with Architect and Talent Dev. Also YOU CAN GET ALL TREE UNLOCKS FREE. you just need to make sure to use Friends and Family. it saves you like 65pts. With my 495 pts I unlocked 708 pts worth of skills and unlocked tree including elite recruiter and master motivator for free. It only took me 4 seasons to do, and every skill was double discounted including Architect and Talent Dev. Also as a side note you dont need to worry about the insta recruit perk, you can just take control of the teams ahead of you at the end of week 3 of transfer portal and just sabotage their entire draft class
Do you ever have the problem with skill points not appearing after you level your coach up? I'll get the animation that I've earned 10 points, but it's hit and miss if they actually show up for me to use...

Can you hard save at the midpoint or late in season to reload and reroll a new set of coaching candidates if the guys you’ve targeted don’t show up in that Bowl Week 3? Would it be beneficial to just play on varsity (heisman isnt fun) until you reach level 50 and get 495 pts never spend them your points unless you got the 2 coordinaters that match the skill trait your trying to upgrade
Dump the 16 extra in some of the better special teams buckets and I think that would be the perfect perfect coach, but I didn't do the math to see if there are any good special team boosts you could get to so ya might've just nailed it

@FendlerYT yeah just messing with you. I haven't been going as extreme with this method. I'll hang around for 2 titles then the 3rd year I force my desired jobs current coach to lose every game so I can take over year 4 at my college of choice at level 50. Then I bring in recruit and strategy based coaches for the discounts to spend the rest of my points.
This is the type of shenanigans that I would do but I want to end up with a certain team after X amount of seasons once my coach is maxed out. I guess I could do the scheduled loss trick for that too?

You can become a coordinator and go back to a HC and reset both the CEO AND program builder trees to get back the 18 for the discount skill.

I’m working on something completely different. But I’ve learned a few things. Easiest way to find an architect is to go under stats tab, go to coach stats. Here you can see all the head coaches in the game and their archetype. From here you can focus on the ones you want. You still need to go look at them and check pipeline bc you can’t hire them if their pipeline isn’t helpful to your program. That why you had so much trouble getting one to pop up to hire.
Pipeline has nothing to do with coaches hitting the carousel. We found the best way to do it lol. We are bypassing pipeline completely so it actually doesn’t matter at all where they’re from
@@FendlerYT not true. While yes you are bypassing the pipeline or trying to. You didn’t understand what I said I’m trying to help your success rate for the coaches you want hitting your carousel when you to hire them. You can’t bypass the computer selection of the coaches based on their pipeline.
I’m creating multiple coaches, to hire my assistant coaches. And the coaches pipeline has a lot of influence on whether you can hire them or not. Just trying to simplify the randomness for you.

I found that I could force losses on cpu teams the other day. Oregon had stolen three 5-stars from me the previous season (2 of which were elite dev), and I'd had enough. Let's just say they've been through 2 coaches in 2 years there now, and they'll probably need a new one next year as well lol.

@FendlerYT With every team I've rebuilt lol. North Texas, Georgia Southern, even Temple, but UCLA was the final straw 🤣🤣🤣. They didn't even have pipeline advantage on the guys and I didn't mess up. The game just stole them. Oregon is a menace in that game.
Another way to look for Architect head coachs is the coaching stats page. Just a thought if anyone else was going to attempt this! Great video though! Hope this coach can get you the 99 overall squad!👍

The only way to make it better is when you max it out. You can literally change from head coach to coordinator again. And refund the 48 points you spent to unlock ceo and bundle discount. The game refunds the points when you switch back. Then if you don’t spend them, you can do program builder or back to the increased recruit chance. Or just max out something else just some food for thought

@@FendlerYT my thought process is you got to the end spending all the points and 0 out the board so for you. As the head coach the bundle is worthless unless the coordinators go down the same build paths. Just rebuy the the ceo after the year of a coordinator, buy the round 1 draft guys don’t leave and then just use remaining 18 points on something else in the ceo tree like the persuasion or something. Might not be worth it but may be an interesting thing to try

When you check a player card in dynasty, down in the bottom left hand corner there’s 2 icons I’ve seen down there that I have no clue as to what they are.
Sometimes there’s a black plus sign ➕,
Sometimes there’s a white circle with 2 arrows facing opposite ways and a line through it 🚫. Or there’s just nothing down there and it’s blank.
Any idea what these could be? I’ve searched online and found no answers yet
Found out that the plus sign is the captain badge for multiple years. After one year the white circle with an exclamation disappears from the top left and a black plus sign appears in the bottom left
Idk if tact is worth it you might be better only putting enough in it to get Arch open. Also I think motiv with arch and maybe talent dev might be the best mesh. Obviously recruiter will be on any build

There might be a slightly easier process for hiring the coordinators than what is shown in this video. I’ve been working on a process of changing job offers in the coach carousel, it’s a tedious process but it involves creating a new character in the members screen and playing as them. Most coaches get other job offers each year if something is available. The idea is to make it so that week 2 of the coaching carousel the job you want is available by having the current coach take a new job and selecting all possible candidates for the job and moving them to new jobs. I was able to successfully go from getting the same 4 offers both weeks to shifting the 2nd week to the school that I wanted to go to. Keep in mind the 2nd week is what is important, because the first week openings you have no control over. Essentially using this process you could likely get whatever coordinators you want as well by force losing, getting them fired, select them before the coaching carousel then just not allowing them to take a job week 1 and 2, then retiring without creating a new character which still leaves them on their position. Its also possible if the other coaches that show up in your hiring screen are from other teams you could select them before the hire staff screen is available preventing them from showing up on your list since 2 users can’t be at on school.
Pretty much the same process we did but the adding members is totally overkill bro lol
@@FendlerYT Im not sure it is overkill. What if you started at Ole Miss and got the two skill trees added for 0 points. Make a 2nd dynasty user as Georgia and maybe another on North Carolina as head coaches. Upgrade what you want on these other users. At the conclusion of year 2 at Ole Miss have the Georgia Coach fire one of the coordinators and then retire. Try and get the job with the main user and add skills you upgraded possibly for yourself?

However, with my ECU rebuild squad where I didn’t put nearly as much effort as you did into the skill tree etc I peaked at a 97 ovr. I’m like 22 seasons in or something like that and I hit a 97 ovr sooooo idk if it’s even worth the effort to get a 99 or if it’s even possible lol. I was already man handling 99% of my opponents with a 15+ ovr advantage so I truly don’t see much of a difference between my build and yours. I’m sure you’re gonna get the 99 ovr team, but I don’t think it’s worth the hours and effort you put into this project. In my opinion of course 👍

I'm not sure where your save point is before a reload, but I think the game loads your choices before your season ends. Whenever I've done something like this, saving around week 10/11 has almost always gotten me 2 or 3 new choices, but maybe I'm just convincing myself lol

You can get to the eighteen you need for another ceo ability by waiting longer at Georgia to get a new dc and not get the single discount or switching to another oc position with bundle discount. If you can't do that try going Georgia DC and see if you can get more initial double discounts
but the HC never develops so you'll never pop for any more double discounts. you can get single discount spend to 100 so that's not necessary to do, you still can't get 18

anyone had any issues having the 100 spent before leaving Georgia? the starting guys aren't picking up enough lower tier upgrades that I can piggyback on before they're hitting their lvl 50 cap. One attempt was 75 pts spent, and another was 98 spent.
Unlocking branches counts towards that 100 as well. Some skills you’ll need to take at a single discount before leaving, but not many. Think I got out at 101 specifically

First attempt I wasn't sharp enough of taking the starting DCs bonuses before he was replaced.
to gain more points you can start off as the Georgia hc and upgrade his faster progression to max which will make the archetypes cheaper if both coaches have the archetype its free for first tier and second tier will be 5 when you go to purchase once you do unlock you can go to retire create new coach and make a oc and continue the process as normal thanks for the content

If so, can you tell me what coaching boost you purchased and where you added them before starting this method? I got an OC coordinator with Georgia now. I've won the championship twice already and I purchased the recruiting coaching abilities at 4 per for all except the kicking position. So, I’m wondering if should start over to do this method in the video or am I good to continue with my current coach? Meaning, going to another school as a head coach and hiring the coaches that have the same architypes so i can get the double discounted points in the groups i want.

I just feel like putting anything towards tactician is a massive waste besides whatever is required to get architect. Also tier 1 from motivator is huge if you can get 1 guy drafted in the first 3 rounds it then stacks if you have 2 WRs get drafted in the top 3 rounds. Then that stacks with the offseason training boost you get from T3.

I started an OC recruiter/motivator at Liberty. After the first season, signed as the HC of UAB. I hired coordinators that were mainly motivators with recruiting. The idea behind it is the recruiting helps in positions I’m not upgraded in and in the offseason hoping it boosts progression to make players better. Haven’t reached the 2nd offseason yet so not sure how my decision has panned out yet
Man I am killing myself trying to get elite recruiters. I get 4 or 5 fired every year but they either go to NFL or I never get access to hire them
Check other archetypes, you might see like I did that some might have some of the elite recruiter skills even if that’s not their archetype

@@fatdave124 you already know 2 off of 5 cost abilities is 40% not 25%. Minimal of double discount is 25% off when it’s an 8 cost guy.
@@FendlerYT yes but its only a 25% discount for 8 pt abilities and a 16% discount for a 12 point. so you can have an overall higher theoretical point amount if you only choose 5 pt abilities if that makes sense.

Found a better way to get your perfect staff. You do have to find the appropriate coach you are looking for. But then make a new member in your dynasty with the head coach of that team. Then fire the coach you are wanting to hire. Then switch back to your God coach. And you can increase your odds of getting the specific coach you want.

@@FendlerYTThey Do Not reset if you use an existing coach only created coaches reset. I have 25 coaches in my league. i farmed every trait and skill i needed.
I literally have been doing the same thing all week, only difference is i farmed multiple boost coachs and OC/DC coordinators at the same time. I had like 25 members in my league just to boost staff to get the traits I needed. When you are ready you can just fire them and rehire them on the team you need them. I ended up boosting a head coach to boost my coach I did not use GA team as the head coach has too many wasted points Actually farmed up the East Carolina head coach he has the fewest wasted points of all head coaches, I made a database of every staff member for every team and all of their skill point allocations so I didn't have alot of wasted points. The boosted coordinators save you the time of trying to get Lucky with finding them in the hiring pool, just make your own with Architect and Talent Dev. Also YOU CAN GET ALL TREE UNLOCKS FREE. you just need to make sure to use Friends and Family. it saves you like 65pts. With my 495 pts I unlocked 708 pts worth of skills and unlocked tree including elite recruiter and master motivator for free. It only took me 4 seasons to do, and every skill was double discounted including Architect and Talent Dev.
Also as a side note you dont need to worry about the insta recruit perk, you can just take control of the teams ahead of you at the end of week 3 of transfer portal and just sabotage their entire draft class

I'll hang around for 2 titles then the 3rd year I force my desired jobs current coach to lose every game so I can take over year 4 at my college of choice at level 50. Then I bring in recruit and strategy based coaches for the discounts to spend the rest of my points.
This is the type of shenanigans that I would do but I want to end up with a certain team after X amount of seasons once my coach is maxed out. I guess I could do the scheduled loss trick for that too?

The first elite recruiter coach is from UF. He had to be fired and was hired by that new team
UF has all elite recruiter coaches I believe in default
