Might have to wait a year or 2 at your new school for coordinators to get abilities to make them cheaper for yourself. I could be wrong and i haven’t tested this, but I wanted to share what i saw.
You only have one architect perk active at a time. Just because you unlock tactician doesn’t mean you get XP for wins the rest of your career. It shows your active perk in the bottom left corner and will switch based on what category you have spent the most point in. I have not found a way to manually change what perk you have active.
I play Heisman with slowest coach progression. My favorite build is to start with recruiter. I put 100 points into recruiting and then save points. Then I go ceo as soon as I have 2 nc’s. I take instant commits and the skill that reduces ability costs when you have coordinators with those abilities. The really cool think about this ability is that it stacks. So if both coordinators have a 5 cost ability it will only cost you 3 to unlock them. It only takes 9 abilities to make your 18 point investment back. And instant commit is single handedly the best ability in the game. It saves you so many recruiting hours by locking in guys early. And sometimes nets you a high end recruit you wouldn’t have won in the long haul. Everyone you lock in early frees up points for someone else to scout more 4 star gems. I’ve actually hit 5 instant commits in a row before week 1 on 4 star gems. Once I’ve unlocked this base set of abilities I usually have already made sure I have 2 coordinators who both have at least tier 3 in motivator. So I can unlock better offseason training for all positions for only 9 a piece instead of 15.
@@drepops5988 I usually have some sort of fast MLB who can cover. Cover 3, cover 1, cover 4 I will defend the middle of the field with the zone. If I play cover 2 man the MLB is usually on the RB so what I do is just play zone/spy in the middle of the field until I see if the RB goes out on a route. If I am calling a blitz I will take whatever DB I think is responsible for covering what is most likely the shortest route. So usually it’s like a slot or TE that’s running a slant or drag or whatever and I just make sure the short route gets covered long enough for the pressure to hit. Also I do think you need to play more 3/4 or 4/3 in this game than you expect. Very easy to get run on in nickle or dime even with a good run stopping dline.
Appreciate the depth look and opinions on the builds. I usually went with Recruiter but I am good at recruiting. So this time around with a 2 star school I went with tactician and I really like the perks as I saw results in maybe game 4 or 5 when I was able to max out my DBs and have some on D line. I was going to try to challenge my self to stay away from Recruiter but man it's hard to not want some of them perks.
As someone who have done mostly dynasties with small schools. I stand by motivation is a good tree, because you aren’t going be getting the 4 and 5 star players right away. So being able to get a lot of training in for your 2 and 3 stars in the offseason pays off. Plus I’m someone who a runs the ball nine times out of ten so getting boost to stamina, toughness, and all for my OL and running backs is something I like. But honestly outside of CEO and Program burlier. I don’t think any tree is necessarily bad so feel like you benefit from any path after filling out recruiter.
Bro! Program builder - relationship builder category is sick. I’m in week 6 of season 4 with the ECU Purple Pirates and have 2 - 5 star commits and 12 - 4 star commits already. Thanks again for the solid content!
The best breakdown I have seen so far and I’ve been watching a lot of videos about the coaching skill tree. Good work. I know this video took a LONG time to make.
Yeah man! I have watched your video like 10 times now and keep referencing your point breakdown in the title section. Thanks so much for your hard work. This has helped me so much!
Most assistants seem to be motivator/tactician or motivator/recruiter, so they can easily help in those categories. I think that the best ability is the rising seniors one under CEO. While it only affects seniors, that cap raises their overall for the last season, boosting their max, their potential traits getting upgraded, etc. With redshirts especially, 4/5 stars will usually have their potential capped by the skill caps, not by investment in a training tree. What skill caps a player has probably matters more than their development trait.
Nothing wrong with the video or the info me personally tho I always start on tactician. I find it more helpful at a small school bc ppl really won’t come to u if your not winning then I go into some recruiting. But love all the ways ppl can play
Surprised you don’t like the motivator tree. It’s an absolute cheat code in the end game. I generate so much xp boost to players left behind on the roster after someone gets drafted that I don’t even need to bother persuading sophomores to stay another season.
I'm near the end of my first dyansty first season. I have extra boost of xp for everyone. I'm really hoping this pays off. I'm just going to hire elite recruiting coaches.
Coming back to this on another vid appreciate the content. I think the build all depends on your intention of the run. For example you put no value in motivator and a ton in recruiting maxing out that tree. But if i am playin multiple decades I will after a couple of nattys build a programs that gets a top 5 class every year without needing that elite tier. It is incredibly powerful to have in the beginning yes but the long run you may favor maxing out potentials cause now the goal could be the best -possible team. I only say this because you prove you can get a top 5 class twice without any elite recruiter ability used at all. Those points might be better elsewhere to make your team better. Unless you just plan to program hop when you stay the strategy changes since the point purchases are permanent t.
I max recruiter, tier 3 for motivator and max tactician. Then spend about 80 points on program builder for increasing the pipelines. Then you can go to any school and build them from the ground up Also, as a former D2 kicker, I fully support not spending the points on kickers/punters. I love getting it tho and having my 90 ovr kicker hitting 60 yard bombs on an absolute rope in 20 mph wind. Worth not spending the 30 points in recruiter and motivator tho, could def go elsewhere
More people need to be talking about how easy it is to snipe 4 stars with 0 scholarships after week 0. I took Navy from a 75 to 84 after like one year recruiting the #23 class and hiring tactician Assistant coaches.
I feel like we are a bit handicapped to get the "good" abilites because of the prices and being hidden under bad tiers. Also, shouldn't we be rewarded for unlocking Program Builder and CEO? I feel like its a bit underwhelming.
Totally agree and it’s by design. Like we called out here they “hide” a lot of value under nonsense. And feel the same on Program Builder but especially CEO. Way too much cost for not enough value, imo.
My coach is now essentially maxed out and I really wish I hadn’t spend any on CEO as I think it is essentially hot garbage. I’ve seen plenty get insta commits without the dream school trait, which I think is the key part of the tree. To make this tree actually worthwhile they should move the learn dev trait here and just get rid of the whole Strategist ability.
This was really helpful. It would be good to show the final product when u explain the final points so we can visualize what the fully realized points would look like, and I’m curious to see how this changes now that visits are patched. Again, really helpful video tho!!
Assuming you want to max out something like recruiter it cost 160 points, with bundle discount and two aligned coach’s your cost per item goes from 5 to 3 per skill becoming 96 max. The spending a 100 and two nattys is tough to get discounts though, seems great if you are able though.
@@TurboTimTravels considered the same but between the discount plus the CEO branch you’re already in 48 points, so you’d need to buy 25 abilities AFTER that for it to start being worth it. Not impossible to do but definitely will make things tougher early on
In my experience, Not really. I'm 6 years in a dynasty have been 88-90-91 overall the last 3 seasons and only have had 2 first round picks, one being a real life senior after year 1. For me, Not at all frequent enough unless you're playing super schools like Georgia, OSU, Mich, Oregon, Bama, etc
If teams like Oregon and Georgia are stealing recruits from you constantly Strategist isn’t bad. Not the greatest but I messed around with it one save and the extra points from other schools visits tier flipped multiple recruits in the save to me (USF) Pipeline discounts in CEO, and getting a coordinator with Recruiter tier 2 are my favorite tips I’ve found so far. CEO is a lot and takes forever to unlock so it’s tough to justify anything in it
The program builder perks are great if your primary pipeline is one of the Texas are floridas,California the amount of talent from those 3 states is crazy
I know I am late but would really like to see testing with the develop lower rating abilities. Especially with like 3* star gem athlete QBs that get the crazy speed and throw power. Might be a way to stash them and by junior year, they are insane for both sim and playing.
For relationship builder is that worth it for once you make it to a big program. Say you have 5 pipelines at level 5 does that mean none of them are boosted for your top 5 by a tier?
Tbh the game needs a harder game mode then heisman or to fix corners cause rn all you gotta do is recruit couple 3 star fast WRs then you win the natty and score 50-100 a game
@@FendlerYT enjoy ya content has helped a lot btw and yeah it’s just killing the game a bit for me. I see minimal difference between the good and bad teams except rarely when I play at there stadium. Then it’s slightly better but not much. They still let to much fly by them

Good vid with lots of info. I think you're underselling motivator. Pro potential can be a really good way to get the best recruits. The motivator tree gives players xp which they upgrade themselves. The tactician tree only give a fake bonus for in-game play only and doesn't help kids get drafted. You need kids in that 87+ range to be drafted and 94+ for 1st rounders. My lsu dynasty my 1st year i had 7 kids get drafted 3 1st and 4 late. My pro potential dropped to a C+ and i was at risk of transfers and was locked of some players. My 2 star SDSU dynasty we started the season with a 80s,I points into motivator, we had 3 kids drafted and kids with pro potential aren't locking us out now because we're A+. If not their deal breaker it helps with a lot of different pitches
But with the additional interest from elite recruiting tree it directly effects getting the recruits rather than going after the 10% of recruits that are wanting pro potential. I do have a question though (from a dummy).. does the xp make the players play better as that may be useful in my online dynasty league where I have to play other more experienced players?
@@PTracer921 it depends what you mean XP help the player upgrade their ratings which helps them play better in the game but the XP itself doesn't help. Also as a 2star SDSU I was locked out of all 5stars and a lot 4s. I like more influence but if I'm locked out at the start it doesn't help. Because of that I had no shot of getting 2 top5 recruiting classes but having 3 kids drafted last year I can push for 2 my 2nd year.
I am considering the relationship builder perk in program builder but curious: Does your pipeline naturally get stronger over time? Or does it stay the same no matter how good your team plays? If your pipeline gets better as your team gets better than I guess it wouldn’t be as needed
I might have missed it but can you explain how abilities stack? Like do they only stack if two coaches have the same tier or can two coaches add up to a tier 4 ( coach 1 has tier 2 + coach 2 has tier 2 = tier 4 ability)
I’m in an online dynasty with some friends and my coach is level 21 at the end of the 2nd regular season but I’m doing a solo offline dynasty where my coach is level 26 in the middle of year 4. Both are set to normal progression speed and I did have more success in year 1 of the online dynasty but I was surprised when it finally hit me they were that close with almost 2 extra seasons difference.
Only reason i disagree with the recruiter route especially if you're playing big games at least in your dynasty is because by year 4 you should already be able to get good players on your team without much input in it.
I think dream school might be worth it I know “kirby” has it and I just wanted to see how big of a difference it makes. A brand new coach got 1 commit at the beginning of the year while the one with dream school got 7
@@FendlerYTdefinitely have had issues with the visits being glitched but comparing the first dynasty i made to this one It’s definitely helped. Love the videos man and i played DL in college I see your OL bias 😂😂😂😂
You might as well unlock CEO and buy the bundle discount. It changes the price of each ability 30 + 18 = 48 But every upgrade goes from 5 to 3 and from 8 to 6. W/O bundle the cost is: 5 x 4 + 5 x 4 = 40 upgrade credits after you win your second championship. In order to unlock, you have to spend 100 points in recruiter. So, 140 + 40 = 180. Now, let's continue with the elite recruiter badge. Assuming you max upgrade this tree except for kicking that is going to cost you 7 (4 x 8) which comes out to 224. Great, you have maxed out recruiter! Here is how many points you've spent: 148 (base recruiter upgrades @ 5c/per) + elite recruiter (7 categories at 8 credits an upgrade is 224 ) so you're at 372 spent, (plus 15 for elite recruiter) so, 387. You still have 113 points to spend. Now, let's analyze what the bundle the cost is: Game makes you spend 100 credits in recruiter before CEO is unlocked. So, +100 upgrade credits. Now, you must win two national championships and you can purchase bundle upgrade. And once you win 2 natties, it costs 30 for the CEO and then 18 for the bundle discount. So, we're at 148. You have 8 upgrades left to finish the base abilities. So, 8 x 3 = 24. Additionally, assuming that you upgrade the 7 categories at max discount for the elite recruiter section 7(4x6) 168. Putting it all together: 148 + 168 is 316. Add the 15 for elite recruiter assuming you don't get the upgrade for free from the program builder ability. This is now 331. You still have 169 points to spend. This is clearly the better route to go if you want to maximize your potential. After you've made it here, you can re-evaluate if you want to buy program builder and go for the friends and family discount which make accessing trees free if you have 2 coaches that already unlocked it. This way, you could purchase elite recruiter....... for 0c instead of 15c. The next branch you go after will also be free. But I'm not there yet to know if it's worth it.
costs too much to make bundle discount worth it to me. you'd need to buy 24 skills AFTER you got that unlocked for it to even pay for itself, much less make a huge difference on the back end. Too much for me to read here otherwise but lots of this is stuff I did in this video lol. you should do one

The best advice I have is go be a OC or DC at Georgia or UNC and stay there for 5 years and build your tree at a discount. Then leave and look at it like a 25 year run.
To get maxed you could also go to a school with a good head coach with the ability that makes it cost less on stuff another coach has then you can leave and become your own head coach

Thanks man. I do believe it will show in your my school tab for the school's pipeline and that one does not change. Your coach's pipeline is based off the one you picked
Bundle discount is a MUST HAVE! Double discount when both coordinators have the same ability, so save your points to buy this and plan which ability tree you want first and hire your coordinators based on that. You'll maximize your 495 points and be able to buy more with the points we're given

My first coach has every top half recruiting perk (except K/P) but honestly, you can stop after level 2 on each one. I rarely go over 50 hours per recruit. The increased starting interest is nice but I usually go after guys I'm not even in their top 10 so it's kinda pointless 😂
@@FendlerYT I normally wrap back around with the extra hours if all my starters already have 50. You're definitely right. I just need a lot players and 450 hours is tough.
Solid video but a few incorrect points. You include talent developer and architect in your best build, but you would have to spend 25 in motivator to unlock those trees. I also disagree with your assessment of motivator. While the first two tiers aren’t great (although I think getting an XP boost for drafted players isn’t bad at all), that tier 3 ability might be the best one in the game, and for that reason, I think it’s worth the 15 points at every position except K/P, especially when considering you get other boosts along the way. IMO the best way to do this is to cut tactician, which is a pretty weak skill tree imo. I also don’t hate cutting out architect in addition as the offseason boost from motivator (where 90% of progression is done) is far more valuable than the in season boost
There are some other tricks to getting off-season boost... I moved a wr to RB at change of position and got an automatic 4 pt boost then after off-season he was at 9 point increase.. I'm considering experimenting with the crosstrain to only recruit wrs as db's to get those tall 97 speed players on the defensive side of the ball
Ima go to teir 2 under architect for the limitless; on upgrade chance of a random skill cap upgrade. Im sick of having my favorite players cap out at 82 ovr lol
Also the 3 star Gem ATH players are really cool to have aswell. I like to swag out their equitment and popping them all over the field with depth chart and boosted auto subs rate. So upping skill cap would be nice
Your going to have to dumb the description down better me and my friend are having trouble understanding I wanna see recruiter o line 4/4 descriptions like that

It shows your active perk in the bottom left corner and will switch based on what category you have spent the most point in. I have not found a way to manually change what perk you have active.
I feel like this needs to be pinned it's so important
I didn’t even notice that 😮
I play Heisman with slowest coach progression.
So I can unlock better offseason training for all positions for only 9 a piece instead of 15.
how are you playing defense of Heisman? I'm not bad but my defense could definitely be better.
@@drepops5988 only time I use a dline or edge is in a prevent situation (I never use prevent I use cover 2 man out out of dime).

I'll try it out!

@@maxkronyak5385how did it work?
Do you benefit season 1 or later?
Motivator is a solid tree! That’s why I make sure to hire coordinators that are maxed out in it. I spent my points on recruiter and program builder.
Great information, I was on the fence about using CEO.. but after watching your video. I realized I really don't need it.. thanks bro
@@sinchyld712 thanks for watching bro
I max recruiter, tier 3 for motivator and max tactician. Then spend about 80 points on program builder for increasing the pipelines. Then you can go to any school and build them from the ground up
Also, as a former D2 kicker, I fully support not spending the points on kickers/punters. I love getting it tho and having my 90 ovr kicker hitting 60 yard bombs on an absolute rope in 20 mph wind. Worth not spending the 30 points in recruiter and motivator tho, could def go elsewhere

Great advice on creating the best coach. I'll go similar but I'm going to test out CEO in order to unlock the instant commits.
I keep hearing good things about that one in particular
Assuming you want to max out something like recruiter it cost 160 points, with bundle discount and two aligned coach’s your cost per item goes from 5 to 3 per skill becoming 96 max.
The spending a 100 and two nattys is tough to get discounts though, seems great if you are able though.
@@TurboTimTravels considered the same but between the discount plus the CEO branch you’re already in 48 points, so you’d need to buy 25 abilities AFTER that for it to start being worth it. Not impossible to do but definitely will make things tougher early on
For your personal info making vids like this, you can "Force Win" from the team schedule screen. Gives you info and can get the prerecs done quick
Another tip is to set coachbxp progression to 300 percent and level up to max in notime

Keeping 1st round talent is elite
CEO is a lot and takes forever to unlock so it’s tough to justify anything in it
This is of course after the patch so visits aren’t broken, this video was pre patch so understandable why it was pointless at the time
I got the recruiter maxed out except for K/P, Motivator at lvl 3 and program developer, i maxed out 3, and is now on architect

Which helps get the drafted for tier 1 💪🏾
I do have a question though (from a dummy).. does the xp make the players play better as that may be useful in my online dynasty league where I have to play other more experienced players?
yes

Does not stack that way. However the boosts stack if you both have a certain level, such as doubling up on recruiting hours available for a position
the CEO bundle discount is one that does stack but generally correct
I’m in an online dynasty with some friends and my coach is level 21 at the end of the 2nd regular season but I’m doing a solo offline dynasty where my coach is level 26 in the middle of year 4. Both are set to normal progression speed and I did have more success in year 1 of the online dynasty but I was surprised when it finally hit me they were that close with almost 2 extra seasons difference.
Likely big xp goals being hit, and also the higher your level the harder it is to level up up believe
I have qb and wr tier 4 taken developer and it honestly just doesn’t feel like a game changer. Idk.
Only reason i disagree with the recruiter route especially if you're playing big games at least in your dynasty is because by year 4 you should already be able to get good players on your team without much input in it.

You might as well unlock CEO and buy the bundle discount. It changes the price of each ability
30 + 18 = 48
But every upgrade goes from 5 to 3 and from 8 to 6.

While the first two tiers aren’t great (although I think getting an XP boost for drafted players isn’t bad at all), that tier 3 ability might be the best one in the game, and for that reason, I think it’s worth the 15 points at every position except K/P, especially when considering you get other boosts along the way. as a former OL myself that's how I like to play, love to hear it. sounds like a solid mix for your coach build too
Did you account for the 25 points you have to spend in motivator to unlock architect?
@@cjshea23 yes I did but missed on 15 points to unlock an elite branch. I pinned that comment
@FendlerYT cool thank you. Love the videos. They help a lot!
@@cjshea23 glad to hear that man thanks for saying so!
i think in program builder and ceo you get to choose the tiers in any order
they don't have tiers at all
Anything involving Xp might be more valuable than recruiting so that your players can upgrade their stats and abilities
but once you get to 50, all those points are a waste bc xp doesnt matter anymore. don't think you should spend there if you plan on getting to 50 quick
@@FendlerYT once you are level 50 you should have turned your team into a 4 or star team so getting recruits will be easy and getting these elite and star dev players more XP is more important than the extra recruiting. You don’t need that many players at each position that are high dev trait cuz they will not all reach their potential
@@vSniper_OG recruiting never stops being valuable my man
