How do you deal with having it in your backpack when any key press turns the machine on? I know without a display, the main battery drain was the display which is non-existent. Best solution I can imagine is some sort of hard shell case contraption that prevents the keys from being pressed. Curious to know if anyone has a workaround for this?

That's the future. When in a couple years VR/AR is so advanced that we don't need to wear giant headpieces to access them our world will slowy be filled by digital signs and interactibles that will automatically connect with our headsets...
If this can be done with a quest 3 or 2 i could see many people buying a headset instead of replacing a 500$ busted display. Loss of the display is also going to **DRASTICLY** increase battery life

This would work well with a Mac Mini even.
DONT DO THIS DONT DONT BUY EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS AND FUCK IT UP
How do you deal with having it in your backpack when any key press turns the machine on? I know without a display, the main battery drain was the display which is non-existent. Best solution I can imagine is some sort of hard shell case contraption that prevents the keys from being pressed. Curious to know if anyone has a workaround for this?
headless laptop is a GREAT IDEA.. i have a 15inc laptop and i didny use its screen almost never.. only if there is a electiric cutout i use it for 1 or 2 hours max..
so i always use my externalş monitor connected to the laptop.. it is 29 inc big ultrawide screen.. so i definitey support laptops withour screens
YOU CAN'T CRACK A SCREEN THAT ISN'T THERE 😂😂😂
That's the future.
Loss of the display is also going to **DRASTICLY** increase battery life
I think it's a great solution for MacBooks with broken displays. Or, if you wanted a cheap Mac and purchased one off eBay with a broken display to be used on your Vision Pro. But I wouldn't remove a display off a functioning MacBook, it just doesn't make sense.
Truth is, laptops are overrated (and just a fashion for a decade or three). I'm an '80s PC/Mac user who grew up with desktops and screens that were much bigger than a keyboard. Well done -- you're facing the reality, using VR.
