Glastonbury highlights 2023

Glastonbury 2023 the best ever … completely blown away by Elton John who has been part of the soundtrack of my life for 53 years, I have never cried so much through a gig. His performance, the set list, the band (and realising he didn’t need celebrity guests as he had his long term band members Ray Cooper and Davey Johnstone there), the production, the crowd - all just amazing. His enjoyment and gratitude, the poignancy of seeing him play his final proper gig - the true survivor who is not only still standing and still energised by new music but just did the greatest gig of my life.
My first time seeing Christine and the Queens and being transported to another dimension, also the first time and loved seeing Lil Nas X, the brilliant Benefits, The Lathums, The Last Dinner Party, Lana Del Rey, Sparks, Amadou and Mariam, The Chicks and Yusuf / Cat Stevens .
Loved seeing again my favourite current bands Young Fathers, Deadletter and Working Men’s Club. Also Leftfield, Arctic Monkeys, Prima Queen, Nova Twins and Grove were all great again and hard to tear myself away from the few that clashed.
Gutted to miss seeing Lizzo, Alison Goldfrapp, Chemical Brothers and Scalping again. And really gutted not to have been able to see The War on Drugs, Daniel Avery, Third World and Lewis Capaldi for what would have been the first time but hey that’s Glastonbury, my favourite place on earth xx

Thanks for this, enjoyed reliving some of the memories... you covered some serious ground! I think you must have seen more bands in one day than I managed to see all weekend! Great effort... Just want to be back there, fingers crossed for ticket day!
