I've been following your various adventures for some time, fantastic trips and entertaining viewing! This video, in particular, is superb and confirms that the Welsh mountains really are world class. Some people dismiss the Welsh ranges, thinking they have to travel great distances for proper mountain thrills - not so, Snowdon (and the surrounding area, Crib Goch et al.) is up there in my book! I spend a lot of time in this region whenever I can, it has all the drama and majesty of the great European ranges. It might not be as chocolate box beautiful as the Alps, as foreboding and brutal as the Himalaya, but Snowdonia really does have a rugged and majestic beauty all its own, it's a very special place. Keep up the great work guys!!

Like the message below, I have watched loads of CG vids, and have to say this is one of the best. I haven't been to fussed with drone footage. Until this video. Really gives the sense of scale. So glad I found your video! We will be in Wales the last week of June and now I know which trail I'll be taking (thanks Lucy and Marley!). If you ever want some scrambles in the US, come visit us in Maine (Katahdin Knife Edge) and New Hampshire (the ravines of the northern Presidentials). I'm surprised you are allowed to use your drone. Not allowed in our National Forests (I am a volunteer trailhead and backcountry steward) or National Parks, as they are considered unmanned aircraft.
Hi Ruth . You’ll absolutely love Wales and this route in particular but bring your waterproofs! Don’t think we’ll be far behind you with the drone laws but for now as long as you don’t fly over people and roads and keep the craft in view it’s ok in this area 👍. Luvly film. I once did crib Goch with a small jack Russel dog stuffed inside my jacket the owner tania viol was getting nervous going across. That must of been 25 years ago. Btw Nice wedding anniversary to remember for ever.

Easily the best drone filming of Crib Goch I've seen, how inspiring, like others have said it just makes me want to go back up there and tiptoe along the ridge top again :o) Brilliant, you make some excellent footage. Just incredible .. the way you fearlessly and rather casually navigate the treacherous path and handling the drone my god just beyond me. Very motivating and yes i am motivated than ever to do the Crib Goch some day. Lucy is fantastic i might try the path she took and practice first :)... what a couple !
Thank you very much 👍. To be honest most of the time the drone was in auto mode and the last couple of times I’d done the ridge it was in really bad conditions. It seemed a lot grippier on this trip. I would recommend doing Y Lliwedd first . It’s a really good route and very quite and a great warm up for Crib Goch. Happy hiking. Atb . A+L.

Hey man I just subbed your channel, best one by far for these activities. I'm in Snowdonia a good few times a year with my wife walking, rock climbing, wild camps etc. We loved the area so much we relocated from London to Snowdonia but my work pulled me back gradually, Gutted but needs must... Although I have done Crib Goch many times my wife will not but hey ho. You are 100% bang on the money that sharing your outdoor activities with an equally keen partner, wife, husband whatever... can't be beaten. Look forward to your future vids

I think Lucy had the hardest walk; that descent is soul destroying; knowing you will have to make up all that height again, done it been there and hated every foot lost. Crib Goch is a great scramble and you got some great shots of your accent; most times I've been up it I was in the clouds with just short glimpses of the drops to either sides, Big problem is if your on a busy day you get queues. It can get very serious in high winds. It has some very good grade III scrambles up the side of it which I would recommend.
Yes I agree . It is definitely a bummer losing the height again and she still beat me up there lol. Unfortunately Crib Goch is just a bit too hard for Marley now he’s knocking on 11. This was the first time I’ve seen the views on a clear day from the ridge so with the drone it was brilliant. I’ve always fancied one of the scrambles up the side , they featured one in Trail magazine not so long ago so I might have a go at that in the summer.cheers .Atb.Austin.
That was indeed an EPIC day out. And I would even go as far to say that this is definitely one of the best TH-cam videos I have ever seen. Enjoyed every second of it....BRILLIANT!
No over-use of drone footage either. It made the footage dramatic and showed the wide open and rugged terrain better than anything hand-held...loved it.
Brilliant weather too...I just want to go there now.

I agree Eddie . I edited the whole video around the Woodkid track and it makes this one look a bit out of time but that damn copyright curse! it's amazing how many people only watch on mobiles or tablets nowadays , this one has more views than the original already .

Absolutely fantastic. This just shows the vastness of the area you are in.Thank you for taking the time to make this. You are lucky your partner is interested in this. I was concerned when you was climbing one handed while using your drone controller.You could have dropped it. lol. Would it not be an improvement to have it somehow connected hands free on a bracket. Or at least on a lanyard. Keep the videos coming and i cannot get enough of the drone footage.
Thank you Brian , it was a pleasure to make and great meeting Lucy at the summit. How right you are about the controller! I hadn't given it a thought until i was up there. I'm making a stick- on bracket in work to fix the controller to a carabiner that will clip on the strap of my pack where the gps hangs.Hopefully it will stay close enough and not bang on the rocks . A 24 inch strip of Velcro that sticks to itself would probably help. Velcro around your chest clip on your back pack. Or your waist belt if you are not close to the rock face.
What a great video. I'm originally from North Wales and although I have only done Crib Goch the once, to see it like this incredible. The fantastic footage along with the haunting music adds an other-worldly element to it - I couldn't stop watching..! Great to see that all three of you enjoy doing these things together. How much difference is there in the weather between May and July/August in the Snowdonia mountains? Is it much colder in May?
Thank you. It is a mixed bag in May but there is usually one week that is stunning like this but it is a bit colder . July /August is the best time but be prepared for anything as when it rains , it really rains in the summer. We always go in May and usually get lucky. Cheers . ATb. Austin and Lucy.
