The sounds DogDay makes when he chases the Player seems to imply that he's _not entirely dead yet,_ which is even worse than being eaten alive from the inside and puppeted around.
Imagine having most of your insides being ripped out and feel the grinding and forcefulness of what seems to be the little bit of your body dragging itself while you can feel yourself slipping away with your internal organs being ripped apart, that's *DogDay the last of the smiling critters.*

I think the reason as to why Dogday still was alive despite having half his body torn off is because the toys don't necessarily need to eat. When Dogday is talking about the small critters he says "In return they are fed. Trying to fill what feels empty inside them" so its possible the hunger they feel is due to the flawed nature of the experiments rather than actual hunger.
But poppy says at the end; the toys ate all the workers to “stay alive”
But poppy was locked in a glass container herself. How did she stay alive all that time without eating?
They likely have a strong urge to eat, but aren't required to.

@@Cozza69 we kind of know that there are some side effects to some of the people transformed into toys, it can be amnesia, aggression, mood swings, loss of motor function, etc.
Assuming they need to eat, idk how they survived that long in the isolated toy factory, even if they were eating humans, the meat would go bad and not last long, seeing as to how many toys there were.
They also could've been eating eachother, which could explain a lot of the missing big toys, they likely died from infighting of some sort.
But we arent really led to believe small toys operate differently than the large ones. I think hungry but no need for sustenance fits the best. It explains how they survived so long down thee, yet also explains why there's toy cannibalism.
I'm pretty sure most of the toys (besides from the prototype) do need to eat which is why a lot of them are so rabid and vicious, because they're running low on food
I just wish we could've taken Dog Day down and let him rest in peace, instead of his body getting controlled by mini creatures.
Or we could find his other half and sew it back together... Yes it would be a long shot but if the scientist can do it so can the protagonist.. Dogday didn't deserve this 😢
@@MoonshineLPS That's also true. There should've been two options given to us, either let Dog Day rest in peace or save him through using prosthetics that we could find in the factory. That would've been way better tbh.
My exact feelings, exactly as much as I want to save DogDay and bring him back to life or recruit him, and to help fight the prototype. You can tell when a video game character is ready to cash in their chips.

I assume that this poor mascot could have been chained to the wall for far more time than we know, sustaining such a severe damage to its body. Such an injury and blood loss visible around this creature should not be overlooked. And yet, maybe he will try stopping us in the next chapter. We may have escaped him, but this only temporary.
NGL that tourniquet fucked with me a little. I noticed it immediately and instantly realized what it was. What was done to Dogday was not the actions of a tortured soul, who only wanted the cruel experiments to end, or to escape the Hell that was this facility, something I had thought was always the goal of every creature down there. It meant to me that Catnap kept Dogday alive on purpose in order to make him suffer as long as possible. They were from the same toy line, meant to be good friends with each other. I've seen death before, a little cartoon gore is nothing to me. If anything disturbs me even a little, it's always the psychological shit.
and the way catnap waited until he finally made contact w another friendly being just to finish him off in one of the most excruciating ways possible was even more soul-crushing. most of these fnaf like games don’t get to me ever but damn this scene was hard to swallow.
The experience of even just seeing him being eaten inside out and controlled like a puppet is terrifying.
Remember Ollie being disgusted by the playhouse? If he's really a child then that should at least be one of his favorite places. I think this supports Ollie being the prototype because the playhouse is where the critters resided and they rebelled.
Id day it was his favourite placr but after what happened it disgusted him especially with dogday he probably lost all happy memories he associated with the playhouse
If Ollie can see the player then there's a good chance he saw what happened to Dogday.
I would be freaking traumatised by The Playhouse after seeing that.

i have a feeling that catnap kept all the smiling critters trapped like how dogday was trapped and he let them just stay there and be eaten by the little critters.
that would explain why all the other smiling critters lay dead on the floor except for dogday, who sits in a position similiar to how he hangs in chapter 3

picky piggy mentions grilled chicken, seared elephant, and flayed unicorn and how “delicious” they all are. She then says she’s still hungry and then asks an unknown individual if they can “be friends”, implying they were her next victim.

As for Hoppy, my personal view that's implied by her cardboard cutout that she ended up falling to her death while trying to escape the facility (as her cutout had one of those screams).
Bobby and PickyPiggy are interesting because their cutouts didn't end in screams, so there's a high chance they could be alive. Bobby was probably the only one left after her group went missing or died, as she mentioned how lonely she was at the end of her cutout; PickyPiggy's cutout ending seems to imply she was still at large and hostile, befriending others just to eat them.

I think that everything just goes downhill after what happens, crafty and others mentioned by picky murdered or starved to death then picky probably ate the bodies. Bobby wasn't mentioned or screamed so he probably is either living or murdered, hoppy jumped to high enough to die from the fall, and we know about dogday. His cutout does scream, but that isn't his death and you can hear his legs fall to the ground faintly. Cathap we know too.
THEORY: dog day was still alive in the process of being controlled if he wasn’t he would not make noises and it almost sounded like he was gagging which could mean the tiny smiling critters probably have the ability to spew smoke just like catnap causing him to get sick or his gagging could be from space being taken up under his skin.OMG THANK FOR 69 LIKES❤️ :edit2 thx for 96 likes❤️

With all the cutouts telling some kind of story, i think the Smiling critters’ indicate how they each die
-Kickin Chiken tried to get out but nobody followed him
-The bunny sounded like he/she wanted to choose death over getting controlled but like the chicken no one followed
-Craftycorn mentioned wanting more RED so she probably went crazy and started killing some of the toys
-The pig ate some of the critters
-the bear i don’t really know
-and the elephant might have died first for knowing too much “do you know how i remember you?”

Here's what I think of how the smiling critters died...
•Bubba dies from knowing too much information about 1006 & Catnap's plan so he was against it and obviously seen as a heretic so once Bubba explain the situation to Catnap and telling him how he remembered all the cruel things Catnap has done to him & the other critters this angered Catnap to the point he killed Bubba hence why we hear him screaming in his cutout... Catnap & the prototype seen Bubba as a heretic so they took care of it.
•Hoppy Hopscotch is so desperate to escape so she tries to get the other critters to jump as high as they can in order to escape that's why she says "Don't look down at your feet!" To prevent them from falling to their deaths but since the others were too scared to jump and probably can't jump as high as Hoppy can... They didn't go through with it leaving Hoppy to do it herself but as she tries to jump to the other side she realizes way too late that she underestimated the jump and falls to her death.
•Picky Piggy starts to get hungry and possibly ate the other critters or tried to and turns into a cannibal... Maybe even ate herself.
•Bobby Bearhug is scared to be alone so she ask Dog Day if he'll always be by her side and will never leave her during these traumatic events since it's just the 2 of them so far... However for Dog Day's part he tells Bobby to run as fast as she(Bobby) can in order to survive and to leave him where he was(Basically sacrificing himself for Bobby) and he tells her "You can't stay here" to try and keep her safe... But that soon fails as the tiny smiling critters start to eat Bobby and she soon dies due to that because she was scared to be alone without Dog Day by her side. We all know how Dog Daydies.... He was most likely attacked where the pool was with the big rubber ducks as we seen at the corner of the door where there is a pool of blood and a trail of it as if he crawled through the doors and/or Catnap dragged him and hanged him up in the cells to make him suffer and die slowly.
•Kickin Chicken says he never been outside and wants one of the critters to join him during the hour of joy in 1995 so when he said "I'll go first" he thinks it's safe to do so considering he didn't follow the protoype's orders on murdering anyone since he is still a kid (most likely from home sweet home and was also transformed into the smiling critters) and was innocent but as soon as he steps out he has met his fate from either the prototype or other entities which is why we hear him screaming as well in the cutout along with the others.
•Crafty Corn was most likely alone, drawing warning signs all around the facility while going slowly insane due to being alone for so long and so in the cutout when she ask for more red she gets hostile to herself thinking that she was talking to the other smiling critters and uses her own blood as "red paint" until she slowly dies from blood loss.

We know he's cut in half but I'm not sure if anyone else noticed the pool of blood next to the door where the cells would be and the trail that looks like he had been dragged but it seems like a dead give away
5:01 Catnap was alredy dead, killed by 1006. Kissy Missy didnt die by him (apart that even if she got attacked we cant say she died cuz we dont know). My theory is that she was attacked by any other random and not 1006, because 1006 takes monsters that are dead (Mommy long legs, Catnap was almost dying and maybe he got Huggy Wuggy too). In answers, I got some theories of who killed/attacked Kissy Missy, and also some valuable info about the smiling critters.
Huggy didnt die on chalter 2 if you have the brightness all the way up when you go uo the stairs you cam barely see his arms climbing on the bottom of the stair walls

prototype seems to be rather weak physically, which fits how he collects dead or weakended toys instead of going after them when they're very alive

my main big theory is that the pig ate the chicken elephant and unicorn with orders of catnap seems that the chicken tried to escape and the elephant figured out who the porotype was and the unicorn went insane and leaving notes of the truth in the vents we see in chapter 1 as huggy is chasing the player Eliot ludwig is the prototype poppy is his daughter or family member not sure just yet but huggy is a security guard and mommy long legs is Mary a child Ollie I believe is baby long legs there's no way a child or staff has survived this long in the lab with out being a toy or monster dog day was infact the last smiling criter I know I can't spell but anywho the rest was eaten and used as an alter also possible for parts for the prototype but chapter four is going to be us chasing the prototype not fighting him no thats chapter 5 at the theme park where we ll see his the prototypes true form also in chapter 3 dog day chasing the player his vocal box was chewed on and damaged by the plusses he's telling us to run and when he jumps the player as it sounds static and all that you can make out him saying noooo before we are killed kissy Missy is a child we also see kissy looking at her former self

Something i noticed about the video with the smiling critters is that dog day and catnap are the only two elevated off the ground (on the chair) while all the others are on the ground as if dead and then they show catnap and dogday as the last two smiling critters left alive

Everyone just assumes the worst for Dogday, but something about him just feels different than the rest of the giants, he didn't have any eyes but could see the player and the plushies taking over him, he could be a trapped spirit forced to stay in his body forever, for all we know one of the twists that is assumed to happen in Chapter 4 might involve him
I think there's an argument to be made, based on the talking signs, that CatNap didn't kill them all.
KickinChicken "goes outside" aka attempts to leave where he is for somewhere he's never been He goes first. And then he screams, clearly being killed by whoever is behind or in front of him.
Picky Pig then has lines about eating 1) beef (could be human, could just be the beginning of the string), then Chicken (see above), then Elephant (aka Bubba Bubbaphant), then Unicorn (aka Crafty Corn). So Picky Pig either polished off three of the other critters, or at least contributed by eating their corpses. And it gives us a death order for them. And then Picky must die next because she doesn't eat anyone else.
Crafty Corn also seems to have gone insane before her death, seeking the red paint inside of everyone. So i'm not exactly going to blame anyone for that death.
Hoppy Hoppscotch attempts to "jump to the moon." In Japanese lore, I know there's supposed to be a rabbit in the moon, which makes me wonder if the kid in Hoppy was Asian. Anyway, Hoppy jumps a lot and fails a lot until taking one final leap, leading me to think it was a kind of sui-cide while escaping due to leaping somewhere.
Bobby Bearhug actually seems to be lost and may actually be alive. There's nothing indicating a death, just lonliness. Also seems reasonably sane. I'm not sure if the voice exactly matches, but he's a potential candidate for a survivor (like Ollie) that others thought was dead. If not than he's probably the last bear standing other than Dog Day and Cat Nap due to the lonliness comments.
Dog Day and Cat Nap we then see expire.
Bobby was probably the last to die before chapter 3 and died from starvation
@@Maximus-ed6ij I'm not sure they can starve to death. Remember what Mommy Longlegs said about Bunzo not having eaten in a really long time? And Ms. Delight killed and ate her sisters, yes, but there were eight sisters plus what little food they had on hand (probably only a few months worth if that split between the nine of them originally. And that was 10 years ago. And that's all she's had to eat while locked in the school, at least to my understanding.
Heck, there's Poppy who has been locked in a glass case for 10 years asleep with no food.
I don't think they can starve. They can feel hungry (and I don't know whether that's real or an illusion) but they can't starve.
What I don't get it why DogDay and CatNap both have middle aged voices when they're both children at the time they became what they were.
Poppy's still got relatively the same voice she had when she was a human, and so did Mommy Long Legs too. Sooooo... did I miss something here???
They have a toy voice box to speak and talk. You know, like how actually toy that can talk or make a sound have a voice box. That why all the bigger toys have adult voice even though the person who got turn into toy are like below 10 years old. i say below 10 becuase if Theo got turn into Catnap when he was 7, who know how young other toys are when they still a human. This guy even make a theory that the smaller toys are might be made from babies
Catnap immobilized Dogday, pinned him down while the small critters ate away at his lower torso. All while Catnap uses his tail to choke him. I bet that's what happened.

he may have been chained for a while, having body parts taken little by little to feed the smaller critters with it only recently getting as far as it did.

It must suck for the toys that went insane, though having to resort to cannibalistic methods to survive, and if all those other critters were life-size, like dog days, you could imagine how much food the small critters had to eat and dear Lord, they must’ve ration the shit out of it
I noticed no one said this what if catnap was possessed or under control because when dogday got possessed his eyes got the bright white color and catnap has the same eyes

Maybe catnap caught all 7 smiling critters and ripped them up bit by bit to feed the mini smiling critter dolls to control them in a way with food and thats why when we see dogday his lower bottom is gone since catnap had been ripping it away to feed.
We only know him for a few minutes but he called us Angel and warned us about Catnap. Really shows that not all of the Toys are bad. So far, I assumed DogDay and Kissy Missy are the nicest. Poppy, not so much, she's still sketchy and shady and I know she also wants to stop The Prototype but I think she's gonna backstab us soon.
Also, her name is the title of the game, remember? Usually if a horror game has their own mascot in the title, they're always evil like Freddy and Bendy (although both of them get redeem in their newest games).
Also, when Kissy held us outside Home Sweet Home, you noticed that she didn't attack us like Huggy did in Chapter One when he held us and bite us in one second. You can see Kissy is stopping, not attacking us, but she checks us if we are still under the influence of The Red Smoke.

DOG DAYS LEGS WHERE DID THEY GO? THEROY :
In chapter 1 (maybe chapter two but probably 1) We go into a office to watch a tape and there is a vent, this vent had little yellowish circles that almost looked like feet. The vent is locked and we cannot go through it. Maybe dog day was running and went through a vent when it got shut in him. This would be why he lost his legs
😰🤢If you were listening to the voice boxes of each of the smiling Critters you'll easily put two-two together. Catnap first killed Bubba probably because he was the smartest one of the Critters and then kickin chicken next became he must've seen what he shouldn't have. Either ways one clear and confirmed detail is that Catnap would frequently used his sleeping gas on the Critters mostly Picky Piggy so that she would start to hallucinate and start feeding her dead companions to her. The proof is that if you pressed a voice box which has her appearance, she say; "Seared Elephant Yum!... Grilled chicken? Down the hatch!. Flayed unicorn Mmmm...".

In his voice lines for the carbonara duct out you can hear first his legs being served then almost cut then cut off and instantly fell off with a thump. That’s why h8s screaming is so long because he didn’t die there.
I more think Dogday was one of the kid like Theodore...
He befriended Theodore when he was a kid and protected him which other scientists didn't pay attention too.
When they become DogDay and Catnap.
Catnap began to worship prototype but DogDay denied to worship.
Theodore and Prototype rip his leg off but Theodore begged Prototype to let him live.
Prototype knew that Dogday was the only one who emotionally cared about Theodore so he agreed.

When dogday was first revealed, I didn't really care for him, but after THAT scene.... HE IS NOW MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER IN THE ENTIRE GAME. I plan to get the dogday plush, but I'm still hesitant. No matter what though, I am a dogday fan to the END!!!
When you hear him screaming (dogday) it lasted so long maybe because his legs were served the time you can also hear his legs getting served and falling to the ground

Fun Fact: Dogday actually isn't dead and is still in (some) control during the chase, hence his sudden change in speed when getting closer to the player (he gets slower)
My theory is that the Prototype put Ludwig (The owner of the factory), in dogdays as revenge for mutilating him when he was a human, remember that the prototype is hinted to be the little boy found in the duffle bag who was missing an arm. Also if I'm correct the prerecording of ludwig explains he thinks everyone needs to "smile" pushing that he was put into a "smiling friend" DogDay

i kinda didn’t like that we didn’t get to meet or see the actual smiling critters in their form just in the small form and in the cutouts like they were a HUGE part of the chapter too bc where dogday was chained up the smiling critters were also chained up like that too i just really wished we saw more of them and how they actually died yea maybe catnap got to them but is that entirely true like the cutouts dont soujd like they do just bc those dialogues have to mean something yk
Given we don't know what happened to him I think it's a safe bet that maybe Dogday may have been the one to attack Kissy Missy in the end
