  • I have really enjoyed using my thermal cinch machine to make journals and notebooks. It's really easy to use but needs small adjustments to make the perfect project.

Your colors on your books are really nice. i enjoyed your video. I had a similar issue with the first book I made, as you did with the one you repaired. I took a piece of spine glue and cut it in a couple of small pieces and then cut those pieces in half the width and place them in the spine and put it back into the machine. reheated it. It worked out. I found that the pages were just a little too wide for the glue. I hope I explained that well.

Thank you for sharing your mistakes. I'm new to journal making and am frustrated because of spine work! I just got this machine in, waiting on my paper delivery to give it a go. Question, what would be the sizes if you didn't want such a wide spine like they come, I like thinner spines. Thank you.

Parchment paper may work to keep your page from sticking.

Thank you for the tips. One suggestion, back your camera up. You were partially off camera during the video.

Thank you for sharing. This is very helpful. Do you have a link for the 3m double- sided tape?

This is essentially what it is. I bought a scrap box off of marketplace years ago. So I'm just using what I have, but this stuff is strong!

Your journals are really pretty and thanks for sharing your tips. Are you cutting down 12x12 scrapbook paper for your journals? 12x12 sheets aren’t cheap anymore and I want to do these but keep my cost low. Also, what paper cutter are you using because it did a really good job. Thank you.

Hi! The paper so far has been digital papers from Etsy printed with an Epson 2800 eco tank. The sheets are 8.5"x11" and cut I half to make the front and back covers. And I make sure to print both sides. The cutter is a 12" Heavy Duty Guillotine Trimmer Paper Cutter found on Amazon. But I do have a smaller one from Tim Holtz I should try and see if that cuts through. I'm only using about 40 sheets of printer paper at 27lb.

Thank you so much for providing the requested info. I have so much digital paper designs and forgot that I could do the same. I need a guillotine paper cutter and I’m really trying to be patient for the release of the We R Makers coming in June. You did a really good job. Thank you.

I'm printing digital papers on Astro White card stock from Walmart it's a 65lb but it's a nice weight for a journal in my opinion.

Cutting 1/8” off the glue strip ends keeps it from oozing out (per the instructions). Your journal is pretty.
