Hopefully the appropriate glue will be available absent the designer paper. That would be the game changer. If not, the machine would not be so useful to make "original" books.

Just got mine and made a quick book of my machine embroidery print out and it works PERFECTLY! VERY happy here and I see many books to come in the future! now to purchase more "supplies"

This does indeed have multiple bad reviews 😢 but they may be due to user error since this is a new product. (Some of them look as though the paper was not even and did not reach the glue layer.) I'm interested in seeing more demos.
How strong are the fumes from the melted glue and heating element? Do the books stay intact? I remember using notebooks with this binding instead of wire spirals and they would eventually start losing pages. Thanks.

can you buy the glue bond separately or it comes with the design? I prefer simple designs and no flowers or anything. Can see so many projects but I prefer solid color for binding.

Hi! Yes, spine width varies from 1/4 inch to 1 1/4 inches. Height is up to 12 inches.

Can acrylic go into these? I got my machine today and I saw some acrylic photo holders on amazon and i was curious if they would work?
Hi! Do you mean soft acetate or hard acrylic? Acetate as pages and covers yes, they work. Acetate spine, no because it would melt on the heating element. Hard acrylic-we haven’t tested that, but it seems too heavy to work as pages, but could work as covers.
Do you believe it would work on the craft leather from Dollar Tree, or is it limited to just cardstock?
Because it uses thermal binding glue you can create covers with real or craft leather, chipboard, acetate, fabric, wood veneer, and more!

Are you able to use the glue strips to make notepads. Without paper covering the spine?
Yes! Our team made a few by sticking a glue strip on the top edges of the pages and then wrapping them tightly with parchment paper while binding. Wish you could open flat.
Each book binding style is a bit different. This one is called “perfect” binding and is similar to a paperback book style binding. You can open plenty wide to see everything you need, but not entirely flat. Our other Cinch binding machines can do that.

I just received my new machine and kit. If you use your own paper to cut out binding strips, what adhesive is recommended for the front/back strips that are not heated at the bottom of the machine?
Any strong double sided craft tape will do. This one’s our personal favorite: americancrafts.com/products/sticky-thumb-double-sided-super-sticky-red-tape-5x5yd

yes- on the HSN airing they said up to 1.5" thick

Is it really hot ?
Hi! The outside of the machine only gets warm so it’s safe to touch The inside of the binding slot gets hot.
