    I love the Crossfire! And yeah, that red is definitely amazing. I guess I would prioritize replacement parts over fixing cosmetic issues. You can get paint and bodywork done any time, or put it off indefinitely, but the longer you wait to get replacement parts, the harder they might be to get.

    • @Mocedes
      @Mocedes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. You’re correct. I’ve been trying to get the easiest cosmetic parts first like headlights and taillights but it’s so hard everyone that has spare parts are charging ridiculous amounts of money for them.

    Appreciate you sharing your Crossfire experience. Don't rush getting everything done. Take your time and save some money for oil changes and tires. You can do a lot of your own repairs and even body work. TH-cam is your friend. Background sounds reminds me of Texas summers. Locust and what a great sunset. Exhaust sound perfect. Make good decisions and you and your girl will be fine. Looking forward to your next video.

    I own a 2004. When it rains hard wipers do not keep rain off to see. 2nd it is not a snow car, even though it has the switch for weather. Also I drive mine like I had to be their 2 days ago. Main issues Tires, brakes, oil changes, and just spent $1400 in the shop to get it to start (plus other repairs). I do not think that is bad for owning it for over 10 years with 173,000 miles.

      Owning it for 10 years with those problems sounds like a good deal to me.

    • @Mocedes
      @Mocedes  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you. It’s aftermarket they used to be available years and years ago when the car was still somewhat new. Now they’re no longer available so I got lucky that I bought the car with them already on.

    I think you made a good investment it's a Beautiful Car, I have a limited edition been building on it for years and an Srt 6, I made a video on the starter issue with some of them were I soldered a part that fixes the starting issue however, I've been reading alot of reviews on people talking about it becoming either a classic or collectors car which will be worth alot do to its Rarity however congratulations on that Rare Beautiful piece of Art and ps. people sleep on this car however when build right, it's a sleeper look up Srt6 vs Hellcat you will see A crossfire Versing a BlackHellCat. 💯 Goals lol Thanks for the Video.

    • @Mocedes
      @Mocedes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Yes I can see these cars being a collectors car in the future. The SRT-6 is an amazing car that’s what I wanted but couldn’t find a good deal on one so I’ll build the N/A the best I can until I engine swap it with the m113 5.0 v8 that’s the goal.

    That colour is beautiful. I just picked up my Crossfire less than two weeks ago, and I love it! Mines an 04, and it's got 45k miles on the clock!
    Nothing looks like a Crossfire. I want to keep mine forever.

  • @popeyevalls
    @popeyevalls ปีที่แล้ว

    Youre doin fine. Just be yourself, be natural and give your audience a non-biased description of the Crossfire. Its a sweet ride that speaks for itself already. Im considering purchasing one that I just located today here in Houston TX. It has a little over 100,000 miles on it, in great condition and only $8000. Im not mechanically inclined beyond simple bolt-ons so I wanted your experience based opinion. Should I go for it or no? My fears are reliability, parts ordering, maintenance costs, and insurance coverage. Whatcha think?

    • @Mocedes
      @Mocedes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I’d say go for it 100% the drivetrain in these cars are debatable Mercedes Benz most reliable drivetrain every built so you shouldn’t have to worry about realizability unless the car wasn’t well maintained from the previous owner . Now parts can be hard to find cosmetic parts that is such as bumper, mirrors, windshield trim, interior pieces etc… but mechanical parts are a lot easier to find. Insurance should be on the cheap side, I pay around $140 for full coverage and I’m 23 years old. Now bolt on’s if you’re talking about modifications that will increase your performance the best things you can do for these cars if you’re getting the N/A like the one I have would be the 74MM throttle body that you can get off the SRT-6 or the M113 v8’s. Second would be exhaust get a free flowing exhaust and delete your secondary cats for the best performance gain. Third would be needswings single cold air intake is very good for the price but the dual is more expensive but you do gain a tad bit more power from it. Last but not least is a nice ECU Tune from the MSS I heard they’re the best when it comes to tuning N/A crossfires. I hope I answered your questions if not feel free to re-ask me anything if I didn’t explain something the right way.

    I got my car 2 months ago aswell 2004 crossfire. Any chance you can help me with the traction control? I wanna slide it but can’t tell how to turn it off, when the light is on that means the traction is off?

    • @Mocedes
      @Mocedes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes when the light is on that means the traction control is off. However the traction control still isn’t 100% off in even when you turn it off with the button in order to disable it fully you’ll have to pull the esp fuses. Look up fuse diagram for your car and find what fuse controls the traction control and take it out and you’ll be able to slide without any assist cutting power whatsoever.

    • @slyFoxx365
      @slyFoxx365 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, when the light is on traction control is off. Still kinda hard to slide.

    I have an 04 Crossfire. I was given the title to a different Crossfire and not mine. I’m stuck at home wondering how I can get the right title. Man I miss driving my Crossfire. 😢 if you find out how to lift these cars to get 26’s under it please give me a holler.

    • @Mocedes
      @Mocedes  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Man that sucks hopefully you get that figured out. 26’s one thing for sure you may have to cut the rear fenders a bit for it to actually fit and not rub.

    Lol I love that At the end of the day stuff theses cars were a collaborative with. Mercedes the 3.2 was a good Mercedes motor At the end of the day. The whole platform is s Mercedes SLK the Ole technology. The automatic was sluggish and the 6 speed manual was notchy and to long to change gears. So trying to use a bigger valve body for performance is not goin to benefit it as far as performance like you said I think. Ya said it's a ok car far as a touring car. Out on the highway that's were it s better suited and the look is unique. Kinda euro I almost bought one. But I like my BMW 3 series and little Z roadster when ever I can afford any cars I wind up with another BMW and selling off one right Then ofcource a pickup truck. Lol every man needs a pickup truck. Good luck with your Crossfire I never cared for that off set tire size thing with the rear bein larger then the front. I always wondered if that wasn't why the gears transferred like they were to tall and that's what made them. Sluggish At the end of the day as ya say. These cars are like ok as Long as ya keep the maintenance up like anything else right They look cool and makes a nice highway car from what I'm told F what we say guy The end of the day is if your happy with it and it definitely get looks. So that's cool right All that matters is u enjoy it and it gives you reasonable dependability 😎👌

    • @Mocedes
      @Mocedes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I knew the crossfire was a good car when it comes to having decent power, handling, and reliability only thing the car lacks is storage capacity which is not a problem because the car wasn’t designed to haul things lol. But I have a Mercedes C320 with the same drivetrain as the crossfire and that car has been solid still runs well at nearly 250K miles. So I’m sure the crossfire will be just as good especially since it’s lighter less wear and tear on certain things.
