I am about to buy a 2004 Crossfire in silver with black leather interior.
That cup holder does appear to be something people consistently complain about. What can be done about it? Can it be locked shut?

Graham Forster you can buy a side cup holder that fits between the counsel and passenger seat.
Just got one and it works nicely. Will help me preserve the life of the OEM
No delay. A friend runs SRT on drag strip in the 11's. Says the auto shift is much better than stick.

These are fantastic cars. They got a bad rap because of the moron Jeremy Clarskson. I bought mine new in 04 and its currently got 50k on it. Not my daily but I have the StarTech package with the Brabus bits and bobs and it still draws lots of looks. Unfortunately people who shouldn't have these cars now have them and they destroy more and more of them daily with their bad maintenance, questionable aesthetic choices and just overall wrecking the small pool of cars that are out there.

I was shocked by the recent physical appearance of that proselytizing buffoon Jeremy Clarkson. He's morphed into everything he's critical of Americans of. Seems as though he's been relegated to the dustbin of irrelevance since he slugged his boss for not providing him with a late night dinner. I never could stand the creep.

I’ve had mine for 7 years now, still only about 24,000 miles on the odometer. Sadly I hardly ever have time to take it out but I love going out for a rip when I have a free day on the weekend or something hnng. Beautiful car ❤

What is your favorite thing about it
I've owned my Crossfire for 4 years and absolutely love it... I've experienced all the normal Crossfire issues... cam sensor, ignition switch, lights! But I love it
Are those problems a model year issue or is it all of them? How tall are you ? I'm worried I may be too tall.
@@tchrisou812 I used to have one, I'm 6ft1 and it was fine and I didn't have any issues, but my friend who is 6ft7 said it was too small.
@@madmikeone2136 thanks for the reply - I live in Ohio and am trying to decide if I should have one delivered from Illinois from a dealer. I live about half an hour from the capital city and have thought I should just go drive one. I am lazy so I haven't. Your input gives me more confidence, I appreciate it.

I am getting one. I love the look and its ME vehicle. Which was difficult to find ME car. So when I saw one for the 1st time in my life I was like " that is it" . It has the oldschool look I love plus a booshie ( ritzy) look.
Good luck expensive to maintain plenty of gremlins check bottom of doors for rust 91 octane fuel or higher. Almost $5 gallon around here. Assembled by Karman corp if you remember rust buckets Karman Ghias were. I've had one 10 years and they do have issues. Nice look fun to drive.

I love my crossfire I've been considering either attempting to turbo it or just swap it with a LS or hemi.
I am going to put the supercharged SRT 6 engine in or find an engine from the slk 32 AMG I want to keep it Mercedes

My sister loved her Crossfire until it recently stopped running. Something in the computer, maybe the software. The Chrysler dealer cannot fix it and the Mercedes dealer cannot fix it. It is an orphan.

Chrysler Crossfire Tech parts and rescue.
They have been very helpful to me and any issues that I had. I’m sure someone has had the same issue and might know what to do.

@@larryfromwisconsin9970 no problem. my xfire has 96k miles on it. replaced the ECM, head liner, dash lights dont work, power mirrors dont work ,central locking system, windshield trim blew off. rear camber non adjustable, key fob doesnt work, cant lock or unlock with the key or at all. newest item on the list is cant turn the key in the ignition. so now i use a fork to start the car. hope yours doesn't fall apart like mine.
Solder RCM ? Cam sensor, crank sensor. Make sure fuse boxes are tightly secured. Solder RCM firstly, 3 leads top rear of relay control. Mine completely died a little soldering and it came to life.
THE CROSSFIRE IS A CUTE CAR, LOVE THE LOOK INSIDE AND OUT, I JUST NEED A SOFT SUSPENSION. 🫖
I have a srt6 convertible. White with black top.28 thousand miles 2005.had it 16 years like new. Never seen rain nor snow.
Berry I also own a SRT6 aero blue black top. mine also never see's rain or snow or ever a cloudy day. i love it to death and won't ever be selling it. its scary fast enough for me at 330 bhp
