Learn the Steps of Stucco with Us: An Overview of What It Took to Stucco A House

We go over when to start your stucco, the steps it takes to do the stucco (including smooth finish stucco), and the inspection required. As mentioned in the video, you need to pay attention to details during all phases of stucco. We have had wires buried, recessed light fixtures buried, and other details needing attention.

Cool video. I'd been hearing the sound of the stucco sprayer for years around my neighborhood before I finally figured out what it was, lol. Lord only knows why we put concrete on the outside of our houses in earthquake country. It's just what we've always done, huh?

Nice . Any tips for fixing stucco that is now falling off the corner pvc bead ? It’s just a few small areas. It look odd as th e plastic is white ..

I know it is possible to spot repair stucco. But if you want it too look like new, unfortunately you would have to redo that entire section to the closest break.

Hey man, I got a question and I don’t know if this dumb question but I’m doing research on the Chicago trade fair and I was doing research on this supposedly most buildings were made from Stocco. I was just curious if you could look at the pictures and tell me if that’s possible just cause the architecture, kind of blew me away and it looks very like Roman empiresh

We realized half way through this project that our 1 time experience with these vendors was not enough for us to recommend them. We faced many problems giving referrals and have stopped doing that. But this gives you perspective and starting point when negotiating. Remember that new construction stucco and redoing a home are two different projects!

Great video, How do you stucco over brick walls?

Stucco over brick is a pretty similar process. Only difference would be to make sure the brick has waterproofing on the opposite side to make sure moisture does not make your stucco peel and break from the inside. Same coats are done on brick with no need for the underlayment/black paper. Hope that helps. We did stucco on our bbq brick but I do not remember how much of it we recorded and in which video you can see it.

@@SEFSU awesome thank you so much. So no need for a lath wiring or any additional add on the bricks? Also any recommendations on waterproofing solutions you mentioned to throw on the bricks?

@@VP411Designs not an expert on this by any means, but that’s how we did it. We used Drylock or something similar. But that was because it was a planter and we didn’t want moister penetrating the cinderblock and making the stuck crack and peel.
