Better bass in the new one for sure, deeper and not so hollow sounding. Why they didn't go for the big battery in the 120 is beyond me, just another corporate greed decision. The most portable one gets the lowest battery life which makes no sense at all except if you're handling economics at JBL and want to milk the last penny out of customers. No convenience, not environmentally friendly and a hassle, thank you JBL for being annoying.
Agree. However there is one benefit to that. When 120`s battery degrades it will be 2x cheaper to replace in comparison to 320`s battery which is exactly 2x times bigger and 2x times more expensive.
Thanks for your comparison. On either of these, can you disable the strobe lights (white part) or are you stuck with those always on? Not a fan of the white strobes on either and curious. The rest of the lights I do like. Hoping the app allows some customization
@@srujanmishra2997 Great, so just the strobes can be disabled? Do you happen to know if the Partybox 110 app allows the same? I believe its the same app so I assume so but wasnt sure. Thx
You missed a hudge benefit of the 120s battery. When flying, you can't put lithium batteries in checked luggage. Now if you want to bring the 120 to a vacation house, or college, you can take the battery out and put it in your carryon, then check into baggage the speaker. It's not going to be a big thing for most people, but it's definitely a plus for anyone who wants to travel with this speaker.
I bought 110 for birthday gift to my bro without even seeing it irl. Then i was so impressed by this JBL speaker that i wanted one for myself honestly lol. What impressed me most is when we put it in the cottage with glasses in the woods during night and the lightshow with awesome sound really got me. So right on the spot ive decided to buy one and then i forgot about it and some months later i saw new one came out. Ill probably get the new one. I think it sounds a bit better, but i wouldnt say its big difference. 110 a complete beast is more than enough unless you do like club party or something. Also 110 was really impressive outdoor. Rare feat in speakers.
Does your 120 have the 3 strobe lights on the top? It has the option for it on the Light Control app. Mine doesn't turn on. I'm wondering if they just forgot or it's defective.
I prefer the way that the bass sounds on the 110. In my opinion, the bass is tighter on the newer models, a little too tight, in my opinion. The 110 puts out more of a medium sounding bass. It’s not too loose or too tight. It falls right in the middle. They should’ve left the sound signature alone. I’m not the only one who feels this way.
I finally was able to listen to the 120 and 320 today and I'm in love nothing beats them for price and sound quality and lights and overall. I just can't buy the 320 it's like 620 dollars here but I will sell my Samsung mxt-50 and my LG rp4 360 degrees sound just to buy the superior jbl 120. Because the 120 is a reasonable 350-375 dollars
I got each of my 110s for under $230 within the last year through BJs when they had sales. Personally the 110 is more suite for me. Love the side bumpers for horizontal, love the dual handle spaces, like the tweeter lights, don't use the strobe light, so more strobes on the 120 are pointless to me. I'm happy there's nothing I'm missing out by not upgrading. Besides I'd lose a few things that I really like in the 110.
Aside from the bass specs and lightings of both JBL, there is a disadvantage & advantages of both speakers, here in philippines we use speakers in an unlimited time, the disadvantage of partybox 110 has a built in battery, and if you can plug it to the main source while charging and playing the battery soon will be bloated, and you need to take it to the service centers to replace one, The Advantages of 120, If the battery is broken, you can replace it on your own, no need to take it to the service centers,
Hello. I never saw the orange light when charging. Only the battery bar. ..now today the orange light is on. Orange light at the power button..i never did it. How do i turn this off
When the speaker is plugged into an outlet, and the sound signal is not transmitted to it for more than 20 minutes, it falls asleep. In this case, the white color of the power button turns orange. This indicates that the speaker is ready to wake up when the signal appears again. However, in standby mode, the speaker consumes little power to maintain a bluetooth connection
