Pb 1000 is better
the jb1000 with the down facing sub hits nicer! the ultimate has paper tweeter and the 1000 does not! the 1000 is a real beast of a speaker and sounds so crisp at high volumes! i just wish they had a damn eq app to lower the bass at times lol

Awesome video! Woulda loved to see more shots of the subwoofer's magnet structure but this still gives a good idea of the engineering that goes into this impressive speaker!

after over 4 years from its release we finally have a full teardown of this speaker. Thank you a lot mate.
Btw i'm shocked to see how many componets make this speaker, this must have been a true engineering nightmare. I'm also shocked to see a 2414H compression driver, that's literally a driver used in Professional speakers like the EON and VRX series... I'm so sad to see that's totally gone from the ultimate.
Btw it would have been amazing to show the actual horn of the tweeter, to see the shape of it, idk if it was possible though, as there was the metal grille.

I bought a JBL Partybox 1000 about 2 years ago (my second unit) and now it's showing this problem: sometimes when I turn it on, all light work perfectly (it looks like the speaker is working properly) but no sound comes (nor even the turning on/off sounds) - no matter what connection I'm using (USB, Bluetooth...), no sound comes and the lights keep on working as the speaker was perfectly paired to my computer/phone.
Do you have ny idea. on what could be causing it?
I've read on the net someone talking about the ribbon cable on the top but since there was no images of this fix, I haven't been very sad to open it and try it.

First I would start with making sure there is no lose connection. If you follow the video it would show you how to get to those ribbon cable on the motherboard.

Love the videos bro! I have a suggestion at the end of the video you could assemble them again on camara and just fast forward that process and then turn them on. This will also give the impression of your knowledge and also it will look good for viewers

Whenever i turn on my jbl 1000 the lights on the front of my speaker turn on but none of the lights on the dj pad turn on not even the power button and it starts playing the demo song. I cannot take it out of demo mode or hard reset it because the buttons arent working for some reason what should i do?
I would check the ribbon connection of the pad
