Recently bought myself the Sig p226 Legion SAO, have about 800 rounds so far no malfunction and very accurate, I love everything about it, the weight, ergo, looks, trigger all of it are really good, its also my most expensive handgun that i have

I got the Dwx compact loved that 2011 trigger went 400 rounds np. Today three failures to eject so it's got to go. The 226 L I think gonna be best replacement just not sure if I want the SOA or the double action
Sorry to hear about the DWX, ☹️ regarding the P226 though… you want the SAO! Trigger is way better! & if you compete you don’t have to worry about the DA/SA. I have an OG P226 Legion. Didn’t like the curved trigger when I got it but at the time the SAO Legion didn’t exist. I eventually swapped out my trigger system for a GreyGuns and SRT. It’s legit now! 👊🏽 another option is the *New P320 xFive SXG. It has my attention! 👀

G'day from Aussie! Nice review/ content...I'm just waiting on the paperwork for my Staccato XC, and was thinking of getting a Springfield Prodigy....but my LGS also has the Legion SAO OR for the same price...so thinking the Legion will be coming home with me...and know the P226 always goes bang...I don't really want to fork out a large sum on a pistol and then find I may have to spend more to get it running right, like so many of the Prodigy's I've been reading feedback on...

@@robbarmstrong8702 hey let me tell you of a little known thing I found. Mecgar 18 round 226 mag with the base plate from the SIG 20 round mag gives you 22 round capacity. Get wolf +10% mag spring. You'll have 22 round 226 mags. I stumbled across that one day. Been running mine for 2 years no issues.

If you’re a “shooter”, the P226 Legion SAO will CRUSH the MK25! Now if you want a nostalgic piece, the MK25 is the tool of choice.

@@robbarmstrong8702 lol I’m a veteran I rather da/SA as I was trained in plus I hate thumb safety. I know the legion has a optic and the m25 doesn’t but the mk25 has Hard Coat Anodized so that’s for if you were in salt water and you were shooting at someone it protects your firearm from corrosion.
When are you ever gonna be in a situation to be shooting an MK25 in Salt Water? Plus the MK25 doesn’t come stock with the SRT Trigger and that’s a game changer. It comes down to what you wanna do with this Sig. Sounds like you want the MK25, 🤷🏽♂️

Bro I got the 226 legion been wanting it for years . And idk I shoot very low with it . I can’t figure out the sights . I got the rxp like you
I don't have the 226RX... I have an OG Legion before they starting making the RX. When I got my Gun Milled, the Factory *Legion finished could not bee matched, so I went another direction with it.
Regarding the accuracy with the 226, Sig makes different sights for different heights. If you look on the sights, there are numbers, which correlate with them. Maybe try a different sight *number. I had to switch mine on the P320 TACOPs.

I personally wouldn’t. For an EDC, I’m really stuck on the 365 MACRO. IMO, it’s really hard to beat: Features, Size, Round Count, & Optics ready, 🙂

WHATS 🆙 229 Legion is on my list of Guns I want. My 226 is a BattleWorn BurntBronze. I hav an OG Legion before they had the Legion RX. I knew I wanted optics and the guy who did it said he couldn’t match the OG Legion finish, ☹️ so I switched it up. Overall it came out pretty good.
I don’t even remember the shops name, 🤦🏽♂️ this was back when I lived in Miami. It’s been some years now. If I think of it I’ll circle back to this post.

iHear you on that! *Now they make the Legion P226RX but I have an *OG Legion and had my slide cut. That’s the only reason it’s the color it is because my GunSmith said he couldn’t replicate the *Legion Grey. At the time I was like, ☹️ but… I wanted optics so I jus switched the whole thing up. I may get a Legion P229RX one day jus to have that OG Legion Grey around, 😎

Yes, I have an OG Sig 226 Legion before they started making the RX version. Upon getting it milled for a dot, I was told they couldn’t match the Legion finish, ssooo… it turned into this, 🤷🏽♂️ it’s pretty dope though.

Let me first say, totally respect your view, a gun is a tool, be proficient or get ride of it. That really is how it should be
That said, the P227 you got rid of. You nuts? That gun is going to be worth SO much more soon. You can't get one for less then $2000, many go for $2500. The 14 round mags... $180-250 each. If ..IF you can find one. Sig only made them for 3 years and discontinued. The P227 tacops would have been an investment gun. Very few out there and they are top of the line for double stack 45. I have one and got lucky. Found used all 4 14 round mags less then 50 rounds in it. $850. Thats was 2020. Since wanted a 2nd and cant get one less then $2000.
PS the collar on the mag, just pull it off and store it in the safe. Its for looks anyways.

@@robbarmstrong8702 I totally respect that. I use to be that way. I actually thought pistols were dumb. Rifles are far more effective, accurate, and faster to make good hits. But ally experience was hunting. Eventually got into CCW had the same EDC for 10 years. Bersa thunder 9. Switch to a SIG 220 and got bit by the bug. Started training with guns and got to really be proficient. Sold what didn't work. Then i got tired of losing so much $$ when I'd sell one. Buy it for $1500 and only get $800 when I'd sell. Figured it doesn't cost me to keep it.
Like my college books you sell end of term. They get to profit insane margins twice.
