What an *awesome* video. Not just foe the Retro Electronik equipment, but all the terminology overall is covered too. This filled in a ton of gaps in knowledge for me. Thank you for composing it.
What an incredible video this is Mike. Really a top notch and finely detailed video you did here. Gotta amit bro, you sure know your stuff and glad that you shared this bro. Loving that you picked the Street Fighter II and II in this one Mike. We need to get you to EVO bro. 8^) Anthony..
The price is right for this super fun I just wish it had proper attenuation and was 100percent safe with ossc. I still may get one and put a scope on it.

Not sure what time stamp to click lol. Beyond my comprehension. I want to get a Naomi PCB board to play some CVS2. How do I connect this PCB board to the flat screen TV?
I have been using this supergun (with Neo-Geo DB-15 ports) for some years but never with 6 button games. Now I want to play "Super Street Fighter II X" (CPS-2) and need one of those pad adaptors to be able to use the 6 buttons in the game. I would like to buy the "Saturn2NeoGeo" adaptor but the Retroelectronik web is now down (have they closed the business?) and can't find any adaptor for sale anywere, no matter if it's for Saturn gamepads or SNES, PS, ... Where can I find one? Or at least, can someone tell me where to find the schematics to create the same adaptor for Saturn gamepads?
Hey Mike, great video. Very informative. Thanks! Did you find out anything else about the select button on the MVS-4? I was thinking about using a jamma extension and wiring up from there.
Hey Marcelo. The Retro Electronik gun works great with a 4 slot. Here is an article I wrote specifically about it. Any other questions let me know! atariage.com/forums/topic/223548-the-official-neo-geo-thread/page/834/?tab=comments#comment-4411229
Sorry to hear that. Which hdmi converter did you get and where did you get your SCART cable? Did you make sure it’s a euro SCART and not the jp21 type? (They look identical)
@@mike7599 I was given the Scart cable so I don't know if its euro/ jp21 :( as for the converter its some Amazon random... Shouldve bought a more expensive one ; _ ;
Return the one you got and get the retrotink 2x SCART! This sells out quickly but looks to be in stock now. This is an awesome converter that just plain works! www.retrotink.com/product-page/retrotink-2x-scart
I heard bad things about this supergun but it looks very good. Anybody use it witg the ossc, I don’t want burn my ossc. I heard that happen with cheap superguns. Please somebody can help me.
zeroxdogma the manufacturer swears it works with the OSSC but I have no way to confirm this. Another great option that I’ve been testing out is the minigun supergun. It’s open source project so you can either build it yourself or find a builder selling one on eBay. It 100% works with the OSSC. Here is a link to a review of it by RetroRGB: www.retrorgb.com/minigun-supergun-an-open-source-arcade-supergun.html
Hi Great video, I have purchased the same super gun, I get sound but no image on my monitor. Tried emailing retroelectronics but no reply. Do you have any idea. Thank you
Wait, the Neo Geo is a 4 button system, so if you plug an MVS into it, does button 4 not work when using a Neo Geo controller? I know Samurai Showdown uses the 4th button.
this product sucks in everyways. if i connect it to my crt television the image is dark and there is no way to adjust brightness and the support is not existent
Hm thats weird. Did you try dialing up the rgb pots? That should help you. The problem could also be the SCART converter your using. What type are you using to connect this to your crt?
@@mike7599 i tried a normal scart, on lcd the colors are impasted, on a plasma the picture is shifted to the left and on crt it is to dark that i can barely see only the white color
Sorry to hear it is not working for you. I can tell you no matter if you have a cheap supergun or an expensive one you most often have to dial the settings in specific to each tv your using. As far as the colors, again, did you try adjusting the red, green and blue potentiometers on the supergun? You need to dial these in specific to each tv. If dark picture persists I would make sure you are using a passive SCART cable and not one that already has resistors built into it. And as far as the picture being off center I have also ran into this on a few arcade PCBs I own. My solution was a cheap jamma adapter from Aliexpress that lets you adjust the horizontal and vertical using built in knobs on the pcb. Man a lot of details!! Retro should link this content to their page! Congrats for the video!!!
This supergun pratically has everything covered. Nice work Mike.
SNKFightFan thanks, it’s a great product!
Came expecting a quick review and learned a whole bunch of stuff about superguns and arcade boards! So detailed, awesome video.
Thanks for the kind words Freddy!

I'm trying to absorb enough information about wiring up my neo geo mvs without getting electrocuted. Thanks for the video it really helped.
purchased this supergun based on your vid, it works like a charm! thx for the info!
Awesome enjoy!

The Great Jonzini if you do please let me know the results!

What if I wanna connect an arcade monitor to the supergun can that be done
Yes there is rgb, ground and sync terminals you can wire a monitor directly up to
It’s complicated to wire a kickharness

Can I still get this supergun
where can I get the cable for going to the GBS8200? I notice you're only using 5 wires on it.
Typical jamma is only red, green, blue, ground and sync. The cable came with the converter. I just spliced it to the jamma harness
So could I just use the screw terminal on the super gun to wire a 5 pin connector to the 5 pins in the lower left of the GBS?
Yup
@@mike7599 Thanks for the clarification I appreciate it
Where are some good places you would recommend purchasing PCB's from
Arcade PCBs? EBay is really the only place your going to find anything.
I have a Scart to HDMI converter and can't seem to get video :( Any ideas on what I should do?

Ty Brown yes button 4 works automatically, no extra wiring or kick harness required. Plug in your neo Geo joystick and enjoy
Realice un trabajo mucho más básico solo que con salida de vídeo compuesto y s vídeo, me gustaría poder hacer algo como esto
Scart.. .oh hell no
Supergun....oh hell yes
