    Fun fact, the upcoming 2022 meeting between the Patriots and Steelers will be the first game since 1998 to not feature Tom Brady or Ben Roethlisberger.

    These NFL Saturday games were a catch-22 situation: could have everything or nothing at stake. This game had monster ramification. but a week later, STL/CAR were essentially meaningless in the big picture

    One of the Steelers recent two wins in Foxboro. This game and their last win there was in 2008.

    • @PENS68
      @PENS68 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was at the old Foxboro Stadium, I think 2008 was the only time the Steelers have won at Gillette Stadium. This was a huge win for the Steelers, it clinched them the AFC Central over Jacksonville and gave them a first round bye. I think Jacksonville ended up going to Denver to play the Broncos that year and the Steelers got to host New England in the divisional round at Three Rivers.

      @btone310 • Before 2002, Pittsburgh had NEVER lost a "regular season" game in Foxborough...in 1974, Steelers won 21-17...1979 Steelers won 16-13 ot.....1997 Steelers won 24-21

    NFL on NBC Week 16 Saturday Dec 13 1997 400 pm EST 36 F/+ 2 C Attendance - 60,013......Steelers Kordell Stewart would finish his career with 2874 rushing yards & 38 TDs, 41 receptions for 658 yards & 5 TDs......Patriots Ben Coates would finish career with 499 receptions for 5555 yards & 50 TDs

  • @PeteyThePanda

    Poor game management by the Patriots on that last defensive drive of regulation. #1 they should’ve called a TO after stuffing Bettis to preserve the clock in case they needed to drive down the field for an attempt at a winning FG. #2 they should’ve called a TO before the 2PC attempt having seen how the Steelers were going to set up on offense to talk it over. For all the shit Drew Bledsoe ate for throwing that INT, the coaching staff should get some too for how they handled that sequence.
