As a 8 year old Steelers fan, this classic is my earliest memory of one of the real good games. Sitting in the living room with Dad. Thanks for the upload
@user-ep6zv4gm6w it's amazing how we all literally vividly remember watching this specific game. I think maybe because it was kinda the start of the steelers winning 7 or 8 in a row and this was considered a no win game for us. I think it was one of the few times in steelers history they won in Chicago in a long time also. But ya very memorable game
That's an understatement. After this loss. The Bears lost three straight games and went through a terrible stretch in losing five of their last six games. That losing period ended their postseason aspirations in finishing 9-7.
This was the first season I followed the Steelers like a Hawk. I was a big fan in prior seasons but I like other teams too (namely, the 49ers) but I knew the Steelers were SB contenders and lost to a lucky Chargers team the year before. My favorite player was Woodson so it sucked donkey balls he got injured the first game. This game, however, made me know they were for real. Winning on the road against the Bears was quite a feat for us throughout our history.
That 4th down TD by the Steelers to send the game to OT changed the season for both teams. The 6-2 Bears would go into a tailspin losing 5 of their next 6 games to fall out of the race, while the 4-4 Steelers would win 7 in a row to go to 11-4 and the #2 seed in the playoffs. If that 4th down doesn't get converted, who knows what would have happened to both teams the rest of the way.
@ 2:20:04. Shows EXACTLY why Cowher was a genius as a head coach. He faked going for a 2 point conversion and forced the Bears to burn a timeout. Complete genius.
It really was, and I remember watching this game: at this point, Dave Wannstedt was considered a brilliant young coach whose team was going places. After this game, things weren't the same for neither the Bears nor him. Incredible game though, I had fun watching it.
If Rod Woodson didn't get hurt I think the Steelers win the Super Bowl that season, I know they played well in the second half but they wouldn't have started slow in the first half on defense against Dallas. This team was probably the deepest team in Steelers history post Noll. They had depth up and down the lineup.
Rod Woodson came back for the Super Bowl. Honestly though, I thought the Steelers were better in 1994 then they were in 1995 even though the Steelers lost in the AFC Championship in 1994 and made the Super Bowl in 1995. Granted, having Rod Woodson the entire 1994 season helped.
I think Woodson going down was devastating but it made our offense open up and become more pass oriented. Had they had the passing game from 1995 with the defense from 1994, they definitely would have won at least one Super Bowl.
Not when they can't even read freaking yard hashes.. 1:12:00 they're either inside the 18 line or its 4th and inches..fckers werent even at the damn 20 yard line yet wtf learn to read the yard markers ignorant playcallers suck
Me and my boys actually went to this game...We had no tickets and were going only with the hope of getting tickets....I was the only Steeler fan and the other 3 were Bears...long story short, I got lucky in that some guy picked me and said that his buddy couldn't make it so if I wanted to pay face I could have his ticket, which was AWESOME of him...We all sat separately but all got in...This was an incredible game and I admit that the Bears should have won but buttHead missed a chip shot giving Pitt life at the end...pitt still had to drive it to score but they wouldn't have had a shot had ButtHead made the chip shot.....What an incredible game.....it was COOOLLLD but I learned my lesson from a game in 1982 we attended in Chicago against the Lions...So cold and I was so underdressed...Didn't make that mistake again so I was nice and warm......

My last game with my dad and he passed away not to long after.Smoked a big fat joint on soldier field steps right by gate 0 to the left. There was a set of steps that went up to the colanades but there was a fence when u got to the top so you couldn't sneak in.Im pretty sure people did get around it though
@@IamChrisL712 - I'm comparing it to the Roethlisberger years. Sorry I was a faithful fan through the entire '90s & just a ton of bad memories of O' Donnell & Kordell choking in key situations.
@@bherber I don't agree. Other than the super bowl game i thought O' donnell play week that year. 2970 yards in 13 games and 17tds. I think only 7 or 9 picks. Idk. I think overall he played very well in 95 other than the super bowl game

Yeah man same, I'm here looking this game up 27 years later cause I had this distinct memory of watching it as a kid

R.I.P. Kevin Greene, Rashaan Salaam and Dick Enberg.
This was THE BEST broadcast team EVERRRR
Finally !! Been looking for this full game for years
Ernie Mills and Eric Pegram we’re very underrated football players. Both played the game very hard and very well.
Man you're right . Hell there better than diontae johnson now lol
R.I.P Kevin Greene
1995 to 97 Golden era of NFL on NBC
The sports machine wow. Now that brings back memories. And I remember watching this game in a bar . Great game .
Is it me or was the old Soldier field LOUDER than the spaceship soldier field?
This game really killed the '95 Bears. It was all downhill after this loss.

A classic between two powerhouses of the NFL, great 👌 game, super duper!!!👏😉🙏

Why do i find myself watching this game again.
When the nfl was the nfl
Season altering-changing game, that sent both teams in opposite trajectories
I think your right. Steelers won like 6 , 7 or 8 more game's and i think the bears won like only 1 or 2 games after this something like that lol

I was in the south endzone right in the middle.spellman had a great sack with o donnell fumbled also
This game similar to 2005 matchup verse Bears. Both sent us on a journey
Damn, this one hurt, but it’s funny how much the tables have turned in this series.
Since this game they played 6 times, 3-3.

Loved watching old school games!
Me too! Especially ones that have stuck in my memory. Its great to see it again
I can listen to Enberg Simms and Maguire all day long
Are you kidding? The only thing worse than Simms And McGuire is Theisman and McGuire.
Most definitely
Phil Simms as a game anaysist will put you to sleep

The 5-WR sets deployed on a regular basis for the first time with Kordell Stewart...
2:30:55 almost 30 years later theyre still talking about a new stadium to replace Soldier Field.
2:50:23 The NFC North didn't even exist back then. Berman was a visionary :)

Steelers 1995 defense i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy
Without an injured Rod Woodson no less
Thanks. Do you have the Panthers @ Niners from that same day? That was a shocker.

Do you have any 49ers vs Falcons games from 1992-1993?
Not at the moment.
To date, this remains the last Steelers win at Chicago.
2 days before I was born. My mom can confirm of how cold it was that week for early November.

Can you find new England patriots vs Cleveland browns 1995 week1
I will try my best.
Curtis Conway blew this whole game for the Bears
The Bears were emotionally drained after this game and fell apart after their 6-2 start.
That season the Bears defense was awful!!
Hammond and collinsworth were the best NBC tandem
Bill Cowher lookin like Chief Quimby from 'Inspector Gadget' over there 😆😆😆
2 tickets where 250 got them in the lot.The famous words i need 2
U got any Packers games from 2007? Mostly Week 10.
Not at the moment.
do you have these games: 84 and 86 rams at 49ers and 85 raiders at rams
Not at the moment.
After this game, Steelers were back on track.
chris orr The Bears went off track after this game, unfortunately for me, ha.
Not really. But they did ok.
gritty win by a gritty group that season
The Steelers only win against the Bears in Chicago to date.
"Baltimore Browns" 1:58
Butler blew this game
Bears loss this game.going 6-2 or 7-1 at this point.finish the season 7-9.butler blew this gamw
Wetnight
49:40 horsecollared but for a short gain and no flag
There was no horsecollar rule in 1995.
Not a penalty then
The 1995 Bears started great and ended poorly, missing the playoffs.
Steelers offense sucked back then. I know they made the Super Bowl, but their offense sucked compared to when Ben got there.
1995 saw the Steelers rank 5th in points scored and 6th in offensive yards. Not too. bad
