  • Gaza: Prequel to WW3? #chaxsimplifies
Israel woke up to its worst day on history on 07 Oct 23, a day when for the 1st time, Hamas terrorists entered Israel and caused mayhem of the kind never seen or heard anywhere in the world for a long time. Israel was surprised: once on 06 Oct 1973 by Egypt and Syria simultaneously attacking, the Yom Kippur war. Now once again: 50 years later on 07 Oct; (actually 50 years and 1 day ago). As an ultimate humiliation for Israel, Hamas terrorists struck at 22 locations off the Gaza strip, some 15 miles deep inside Israeli territory and took back over 200 hostages aged between 3 months to over 80 years.
Israel struck back with un-paralleled force, rained in bombs and rockets and shells, flattening Gaza as never before.
Nations jumped to support one side or the other; and it soon started looking like a ‘clash of civilizations’ with Islamic countries coming out in support of Hamas and Palestine and other secular (but Christian) nations coming out in favour of Israel.
Why did this attack happen? How did Hamas keep in quiet? Could the attack be carried out by a ‘non-state actor’ or is there a military backing it? What are the global implications of the attack? What about India? What is China’s role and its interests and how does this get factored in into the Cold War 2? Finally, will it lead to a world war?

amazing analysis sir, clear and crisp
self note: important points for ethics and essay paper
    1) proxy warfare with own sectionalist interest of External states and their support to hamas :
turkey: oppositon to it being bypassed through imec
iran: opposition to growing ties b/w us and Saudi(nuclear tech transfer)
China : elephant in the room , growing discomfort to I2U2, wants to project itself as
    global peace maker(beijing accord 2023)
    2)civilizational /ideological slash
    3)reordering of global order/power struggle
    4) raised doubts related to complete reliablity on technology, thus human role cant be
substituted by AI in era of Web 3.0,IR 4.0, hybrid warfare etc
    5) israel justification for using means of hard force for protecting its sovereignty can be
justified on grounds of *Just war theory* acc to which:
Jus Ad Bellum: About the justice of resorting to war in the first place.
Jus in Bello: It is about justice of conduct within war.
Jus Post Bellum: This is about the justice of peace agreements and the termination
    phase of the war.
    way ahead:
1)mascular foreign policy: "Speak softly and carry a big stick" Theodore Roosevelt.
2)Media proactive role: "He who controls the narrative, controls the world"
    3)seperation of religion and state
    useful quotes for essay paper:
1)"If you don't take up arms, you will lose your nation, and if you don't study the scriptures, you will lose your culture." : kautalya in arthashastra
inference: conveys the importance of both self-defense and the pursuit of knowledge for the preservation of a nation's identity and culture.
2)"Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun "

Your videos always make complex contemporary topics simple and lucid, as this one also did. The standard of explanation and hollistic analysis on every topic makes it crystal clear to understand and relate things, which is really unparallel on this platform. Your valuable efforts deserve sheer admiration🎉🎉

An excellent, articulate analysis of the various elements behind this sudden outbreak of hostilities!
Cdr Chakrapani speaks with commendable authority and authenticity, based on careful research into issues that have escaped the notice of most of us.
There are many useful lessons to be drawn from this superb presentation.

Many many thanks, Raghu. I am motivated by such comments. There are many mote linkages that exist that need to be also kept in mind. One such that has erupted dramatically is the India connection...the linkages of PFI, IUML, etc with Hamas, blasts yesterday in Kochi

A very informative and insightful analysis of an extremely complex, perhaps intractable so, part of the world. The links to China and Pakistan are particularly interesting and not something we really hear about here in the UK.

Excellent....simple and straight, which anyone can understand. The whole scene is complex, and Israel needs to think beyond rage and vengeance. Any ground offensive without the end state plan will lead to human suffering. This can swell up the support from the public, which jihadi elements will take advantage of. A delicate situation that needs to be dealt with caution n care by all world powers. Or else the cash of civilisation may happen...hope we do not sleep walk into WWIII.

    • @ChaxSimplifies
      @ChaxSimplifies  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Indeed, the Jihadi element is the most dangerous and unpredictable. While nations still have some idea of the good and bad for their citizens, the same cannot be said of the Jihadis

Incisive analysis...the 'unity government' in a crisis is the most significant take away for me...something India should try and emulate! A great effort 👍
