    No one is evil taking any legal deer. Same as fishing. A person might only get out once a year. Great video thank you.

    Good for you! Thank you for putting in the effort to recover your deer. Using the drone is a great idea, I’ll have to steal your idea in the future. Thank you.

    Smart move using the drone to find it like that.

    Looks like the deer only went 30 yards. Then, it didn't quietly bed, it flailed around and died. Guess the shot was better than you thought.

    Deer can do crazy damage, i had over 100 apple/fruit trees stripped off their bark over the course of a week and i mean they skint hell out of them, i had 4 foot piiles on the trunks and anything above those pipes is gone

    I couldn't find my giant eight point for 2 days and finally got good weather and got my DJI mavic mini in within 5 minutes located it 200 yards away feeling was incredible the bush I was in was eight to 10 ft tall the grass was 8 ft at least and that saved a lot of time walking around bush those drones work

    make sure it's legal to do so in the state you are in. There are some states it's not legal to search for wounded/dead deer with a drone

    I don't think a drone should be used for hunting or scouting..But it sure as hell is handy for retrieving one.!! Been there hit one last year next to a similar field.(goldenrod 7ft tall) spent four hours tracking with toilet paper markers..pain in the ass.!! I'm getting a drone.!! Thanks dude.!

    Illegal in my state to use a drone for any part of the hunt. Check your DNR websites.

    Don’t matter the reason for taking the deer. Many get hit by vehicles every year. Better to have them ethically taken and eaten. Not just go to waste brother.

    Many people are talking about using drones to find their deer. Check with your local DNR. In many states it is illegal. Ignorance of the law will not save you a fine.

    Great video. This is a great product for "Search and Rescue" operations. However, I would suggest spending more time at the range to become a better shot.

      The deer only went 50 yards at most. That’s actually a pretty good shot. A lot of times they run up to 100-200 yards even with a lung shot. So quit saying stupid comments if you don’t know what your talking about.

    Only humans try to say we must kill things just because they are wounded. I'm not against deer hunting but I hear the justification that in order to be kind we had to kill something and it makes me think of government who, in order to be kind, would gladly lock us all down and ruin our lives "for our own good".

      A well placed arrow or bullet is alot more humane than letting them get eaten alive by predators.

    • @DIYDaveT
      @DIYDaveT 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MostlyPeacefulNeanderthal I think you would agree that we will all get old and die. Given that the outcome is certain, by your logic it only makes sense to kill you before you become a burden to your family. We wouldn't want you to have to live as an old person, knowing that the ravages of old age are hounding you.
      By your logic we should have killed Steven Hawking long ago. After all, he had to live as a wheel chair bound lump of flesh for many years.
      Again, don't get me wrong. Hunting is OK. I have taken deer with my .270 win. The Bible clearly tells us that all animals are put here for our consumption. But this notion that we should do it out of kindness and that taking life for any reason represents our godly generosity towards others is more than a little demented.
