- A short Sony ZV-E10 cinematic with some of my favorite autumn footage. Shot with Sony 18-105mm f/4 OSS in 4K, Cine4 & 24fps. Mainly handheld and two shots with a gimbal with some post video stabilization.

Love it. The 18-105 gets underrated by too many people because it is "only" f4. I find it a wonderfully versatile video lens that gives superb results as seen here.

thank you for this beautiful video. I just bought the same lens (I use same camera) for travel and I was having second thoughts and FOMO but this beautiful video showed me that it is not the lens it is my lack of skills!
Thank you very much! your skills are indeed the most important thing and as long as you keep in mind that this lens is not very good in low light you can get some very nice shots with it.
You by far get the best shots with this camera that I’ve seen on TH-cam. I see that you are using Cine4, what are your other picture settings at?

Amazing footage... so simple yet so powerful. I'm trying to figure out which picture profile to use... Cine4 looks good, but I can't achieve that quality. Have you changed cine4 settings? Do you expose normally, or do you overexpose a little? I've subscribed to your channel, I hope it grows. Thank you for sharing
Thanks! I only change detail to -7 and overexpose a lil bit, because cine4 highlights go to 109%. So you can regain some highlights in post.

Do you shoot in a lower focal length when stabilizing in post, since the stabilization crops in? And what video software do you use to stabilize?
I didn't use 'active' stabilization, just the OSS of the lens. In Premiere Pro I used 1-10% of warp stabilizer to make some shots more stable.

Man, I keep coming back to your videos because they're so beautiful. I have the same camera (a6500) and lens (18-105 f4) but my footage doesn't look nearly as good. What program do you use for colour grading? Also, how do you handle the camera and lens combo in low light? I find I have to crank my ISO up which ruins the image quality. Thanks!
thank you so much! I Use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and color grade. In general I don't shoot in lowlight that often but if I do I use a prime lens and never crank up my ISO higher than 800 or 1600.

Thanks! it depends on the footage but mainly it's a S curve with the highlights brought down and a creative lut at 30%
At what shutter speed to record everything?
When I record the 24fps the shutter is at 50, but the shots come out choppy when I move the camera.

Thanks! it mainly has some quality-of-life improvements like better battery life and it's brighter screen. I don't really miss the stabilisation because it wasn't that good in the first place and I often use stabilized lenses and the new active stabilization can be handy although the crop is pretty big.
One question: the Sony 18-105mm f4 has a image stabilization for video. It'good for beginner?

Great video and colores. Does it take long to color grade? And also did you use Lut on this video?
thanks a lot! I used the KDX lut on 30% opacity and color grading doesn't take that much time because I mainly focus on composition and good lighting

no I borrowed the camera from a friend. I think I will upgrade eventually to an a7cii or a7000 because I like the small form factor.

@@ke7p they are very different lenses. If you need versatility and stability I would get the Sony, if you are going to use a gimbal and shoot in low-light I would get to the sigma

Yeah but this must be on a expensive gimbal too, keep that in mind (edit only a couple shots are)
Only 2 shots (0:21 and 0:57) were shot on a gimbal (Zhiyun Crane Plus). Everything else was handheld.

It helps a lot with handheld movement. The OSS is better than the Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS@@asherwilkins465
