Hi I have a can-am ryker 900 , I lost my right leg above the knee in a truck accident I’ve been riding motorbikes all my life since I was nine years old I am now 62 and I find it is a little bit strange to get used to you at first but once you know what the can-am Is capable of you will enjoy the ride

I am very similar with a right leg below knee amuptation, can you operate the brakes with your prosthetic OK?
@Fred Rogers I know, it's the ISCI one from the States, but by the time it's paid for, shipped, VAT added and fitted, it's going to cost me the best part of £2,000 or over $2,400. Financially restrictive for me.

I was thinking about getting one since I became handicap and can no longer hold up a motorcycle. Thinking the three wheel setup will allow me to ride again. Think I may test drive first.

Don’t buy it! I have a 2022 Ryker Sport with under 6k miles and it’s been to the shop for VSS errors 7 times. That’s a visit every thousand miles and it would spend at minimum 2-3 weeks in the shop. Once it was almost 2 months. I’m done, it’s a piece of crap. If you have one and had no issues, sweet glad it’s working out but trust me on this the issues are coming your way eventually.

Are you able to have a passenger by adding a backseat? Like would I have adjust the suspension knob on the side of the bike in order to have a passenger?
Yes can add a passenger seat to the Can Am Ryker
You can have a passenger but unless you are both very light it will bottom out with any of the stock suspensions.

Yours is a painfully honest review regarding ride quality that Bombardier Can-Am would do well to read. I bought a Ryker 900 ACE in the spring of 2020 and sold it in the spring of 2022. I couldn't wait to get rid of it. Unless you are fortunate enough to have roads smooth as glass to drive on nobody will like the punishment their lower back will get from that awful rear suspension as the trike slams over ruts, potholes cracks and what have you . Even with a $475 upgrade, the Driver's Comfort Seat, the machine is unrideable on anything but the smoothest roads. Absolute torture, bar none. God help anyone if they already have back issues, you'll end up in a wheelchair.
How does it do on crowned roads?

When will you start fitting a hand brake as found on all other 2 wheel motorbikes?
It's not a two wheel get over it I hear the brakes are just fine
My dealership ordered me hand brake and installed it for me
One of the main things I like about it is that it is NOT a motorcycle.
